    It was our first time in the US and the first night we spent was in Washington. I must admit that i was expecting something good and o wasn't deceived. It was spacious, had a good bathroom and a nice view. The hotel had a nice lobby and a cool bar (with service being a little bit slow), a very good location (500m away from White House and with a 24 hour convenience store just around the corner). The negative part was that they hadn't the booking from venere confirmed but they managed to find a solution. Also the balcony room's door wasn't well closed and the heating was a little "unstable", but they were "minor" problems. One thing Venere was great (like always) was the mentioning that quoted prices weren't with taxes included that made me know in advance the total room price.

    HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL
    By car
    From the South (Richmond, Springfield, Alexandria): take I-95 North to I-395 North. Follow to Route 1, exiting on the left to the 14th Street Bridge. Remain on 14th Street for fifteen blocks, to Thomas Circle. Bear right to Vermont Avenue into the entrance driveway.

    From the West: take Route 50 East across the Roosevelt Bridge onto Constitution Avenue to 15th Street. Turn left to 15th Street. Cross K Street and it becomes Vermont Avenue. Continue on Vermont Avenue and go halfway around Thomas Circle. Bear right to Vermont Avenue into the entrance driveway.

    From the North (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore): take I-95 South to the Washington, DC Beltway I-495. Follow I-495 South (towards Virginia to Exit 22B, the Baltimore-Washington Parkway). Follow the Parkway South for approximately five miles, until you come to New York Avenue. The Parkway will divide and bear to your right, towards New York Avenue for approximately five miles. You will go through 20-25 traffic lights. When New York Avenue intersects with Massachusetts Avenue, bear to your right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right on 13th Street, left on N Street, Left on Vermont Avenue. Turn left into the entrance driveway.

    From the Ronald Reagan National Airport: take George Washington Parkway North (I-395) to Route 1, exiting on the left to the 14th Street Bridge. Follow directions above from the West.

    From Dulles International Airport: follow directions to Washington. Take I-66 East towards Washington, cross Roosevelt Bridge and follow directions above from the West.

    By underground
    Take the undergound to the McPherson Square Station. Take 14th St./Franklin Square Exit. When you are on Street level, you are on 14th and I Streets. Walk up three blocks on 14th Street to Thomas Circle.

    By airplane
    From the Ronald Reagan National Airport: the city is about 4 miles away from the airport. If taking public transportation, check signs for the shuttle and taxi pick-up area. A taxi to the hotel will take approximately 15 minutes and cost about $12-$15. (Rush hour traffic may add to the time and cost). The Super Shuttle may take 30 minutes since they drop off passengers at other hotels. Cost is $10. The underground (blue line) has a station right at the airport. Take the undergound to McPherson Square station. The cost is about $1.50. Take the Franklin Square/14th Street Exit, turn left and walk up 14th Street to Thomas Circle.

    From Dulles International Airport: the city is about 25 miles away from the airport. If taking public transportation, check signs for check signs for the shuttle and taxi pick-up area. A taxi to the hotel will take approximately 40 minutes and cost about $55-$60. The Super Shuttle may take around one and the cost is $22. The nearest underground station is West Falls Church (orange line). You need to take a Washington Flier bus to the station for $8. Take the underground to McPherson Square station. The cost is between $1.70-$2.50. See directions from underground station to hotel above.
