Town House Suite Locanda da Scarso Venice - Venere.com townhouse exterior The Town House Suite La Locanda da Scarso is located in Malamocco, the oldest suburb of Venice, in a charming building from the 14th century, in the heart of the Venetian lagoon. The famous restaurant with the same name is in the same building and serves fish specialties every day.

The complex has a reading room with TV, provided with a rich collection of historic literature about the region.

It is possible to take walks between the lagoon and the Adriatic Sea, between the greenery and the water, not far from the Alberoni (with its fabulous pine wood at the sea side, naturalistic oasis, free beach and the Murazzi rocks) and at the same time reach the historic centre of Venice in just 25 minutes by public transportation, also available at night, leaving every 20 minutes.

This was a nice place in Lido. The price is not bad at all. We were lucky enough to stay at the best room in the place. We had a place to do our laundry. We also had a beautiful view of the water and also a roof-top deck. It was very very nice. The host gave us an orientation and educated us on the strike that was to happen the day after we checked-in. That was a great help. With out his help through the strike, we would have lost a day of fun in Venice. I strongly recommand this for everyone on vacation. It's quiet, though you can hear occasional motocycles speeding like Ferraris. Around the clock public transportation made this place accessable. Get the 3-day pass for 25 Euros. It includes all buses in Lido and all the water taxi. Unless you can stay in Venice for less than 90 Euros, otherwise this is the spot for you.

Locanda da Scarso...i had a lot of fun over there, the person who owns the place will give you all the advices that you need, he is the best!! It's in the old village of Venise so you need to take the bus from Lido but there is a quiet beach at 1km away from the hotel and restaurants around. Plus you can get a pass for 72 hours for only 18 euros which is nothing when you have to take the vaporetto (5 euros per person) plus the bus everyday. But Marco will tell you everything about it. It's very quiet and you are in the real Italian culture which is awesome. Venise is very expensive so if you don't want to spend a fortune on a hotel, go for it !!!

Marco was very charming and knowledgable and he provided us with a wealth of information on Venice and its surroundings. The locanda is some 15-20 minutes from the Lido ferry which is nice if you want some peace and calm. The local restaurant nextdoor provided excellent food, especially fish. Have a nice holiday!

The complex is easily reachable from Venice; take the ferry from Tronchetto to the Lido Island. The town house is 6 km from the ferry stop.

By train
 The town house is about 30 minutes from the Venice central station and it is well connected with public transportation. The bus stop is in front of the town house entrance.

By airplane
 The Venice airport is about 50 minutes by bus from the complex.
