Perfect hotel to stay a little offside all tourists. Not good if you need much space. Very romantic and beautiful to walk around the canals and escaping a while from a world with cars. We think a nice quality vs. price rate to stay near to the center.

Good quality/price. Clean. We would go back. Big enough for a couple of nights (but it would feel too cramped for longer stay). Bfast brought in our rooms when we want (hot chocolate is excellent! The croissant is not.). The woman taking care of the place did not speak English, only Italian, but we managed to understand each other with a lot of hand gestures. Convenient to be close to the train station since you don't have to carry your bags throughout Venice. However, the area is dark after 9-10pm and there aren't many people on the sidewalks. I wouldn't recommend it to women traveling alone (unless you plan on returning to the B&B early in the evening).

Staff was great, answered all out questions - In Italian only. Room was super clean, bathroom small but OK. Food around the area was horrible, but was horrible through-out the city.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was really wonderful- our room was small but very clean and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance from the train station too, which is helpful. We were able to find the hotel much more easily than I expected as well, the directions provided were excellent. We will definitely stay here again!

We liked the location of this hotel because it was not in the main tourist area so it was very quiet in the area. There is also a nice grocery a few meters away where you can buy food and other stuff. A wine shop and a gelateria as well as restaurants and a bakeshop are also within 20 meters of the hotel. The rooms are small but very clean and the fixtures in the bathroom are new so that was great. We would stay there again.

We spent 4 nigts in Alloggi Sardegna and had a great time over here : very good situated not too far from the train station (15min) and the town centre (20min), but far enough to escape the busy tourism. Around the corner you find all usefull places : newspaper shop where you can also buy the ACTV tickets or postcards, the bistro where we used to have our breakfast (among the local people) and the wine shop. Many good restaurants in the surroundings : Ostaria al Bacco, Ostaria da Rioba,... Besides the good boat connection towards town centre also very close to the vaporetto station Madonna dell’Orto where you can take a boat to Murano and Burano. Good choice !

Top!

The hotel is not far from the train station. It is a small building located in a quiet street. The proprietor was helpful and nice. Breakfast was served in the room, but hardly any quality in the food presented.

Very nice and exceptionally clean place. Close to bars and restaurants situated in an area that is not crowded by tourists. Easy to reach from Piazzale Roma and Railway Station. Rooms no. 1 and no. 2 are on the ground floor and are probably quite noisy. Breakfast is fairly poor, but as an overall impression Alloggi Sardegna is a great and comfortable place to stay in Venice for few days.

The hotel is managed by Signora Maria alone (that I could see), but she does an excellent job. The rooms are extremely small with very nice furnishing though. Location around city is excellent. If you do not use a website to book your room, like my friends who decided to join us at the last moment: we just got a quote from Maria, but when we checked out, she told my friend that the daily charged was 20 euros higher than the quote!

wonderful pension-type hotel. Great value and the owner was wonderful. Friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was VERY clean and although tight quarters, one wouldn't spend a lot of time in their hotel room in Venice! A great find!

The hotel was just what we needed. Only 10 minutes from the city centre and also 5-10 minutes from the rail way station, as well as the vaporetto station. The surrounding is very quiet and beautiful, much better than in the hectic centre. The staff was very caring and attentive to us. The rooms are quite small, but very cosy and comfortable. Ideal variant for those who do not plan to spend a hell of money for 5*, 4* hotels near San Marco!

The employee did not speak anything but Italian, and that was quite a challenge. But she was charming and polite and did her very best.

This place was excellent. The rooms were cozy, clean and well-kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and having breakfast delivered to our room every morning was quite nice (just dial 0 or 9, i think ;-)! The location is close enough to all you would want to see (explore) yet out of the way enough to get a good night rest.

Fair price, decent sized modern rooms, breakfast is just crossants and coffee, handy location but night foot traffic could be heard.

Although we were told that we could phone for breakfast if we wanted it between 7:30 and 10:00 we were woken every morning at precisely 9:00 and told that breakfast was coming to our room. The room was clean when we entered but was not cleaned that good while we stayed there. However we had a wonderful time in Venice.

The overall qualities (spaciousness, location, poor breakfast, only italien spoken) make it difficult to accept a relatively expensive accomodation.

According to your map, it is difficult to find the property because there are several Calle del Forno in Venice. Thr property is not (as indicated) between Pnnte delle Guglie and the Ghetto but near Fondamenta degli Ormesini. Regards, Carsten Gruen
