GUEST ROOMS
double room
Your staying become more interesting in our rooms:
Caterina Cornaro room
It's the most spacious one among the property's rooms. The furniture of value and the stuccos create an elegant and exclusive room, destinated to the memory of C. Cornaro - Queen of Cipro , who gave her kingdom to the Serenissima Republic in the XV century.
Marco Polo room
It's the room that recalls exploit of the great explorer grown in Campiello del Milion , in the surroundings of the Inn.
Casanova room
Obviously , the room in demand! Casanova is the most known and chatted characters in the history of Venice. The valuable furniture creates an atmospher between legend and history in a XVII century style.
Antonio Vivaldi room
Antonio Vivaldi is one if the biggest interpreters of the Venetian music of the XVII century. The small concert-halls where Vivaldi became famous to the city was little bigger than the room to him dedicated; the atmosphere is the same.
The room of the Doges
The Doge was the most important political figure in Venice from 697 to 1797.The Doge room is the richest of precious decorations and furniture in perfect Venetian style..
Otello room
The life of the known character internaves with the history of Venice and in some passages of the play you can roscognize plots and passions of Venetian nobility.
The rooms, all finely furnished, with bathroom/shower, bear the names of well-known historical characters whose have marked the life of the Moste Serene Republic, namely Caterina Cornaro, Marco Polo, Casanova, Vivaldi, Otello, the Doges.
The projecting, wrough balconies with stained-glass windows fashioned by Venetian master glassblowers allow our guests to have a glimpse of a still undiscovered Venice.

I can only recommend this place, even if it wasn't that easy to find (the descripton of how to get there ended at the vaporetto station, and the hotel sign says "locanda novo", not casa novo first class inn). It was only a short walk (5 min) to the Vaporetto stations Ca d'oro and Fundamento nuove. Also it was only a 10 / 15 min walk to Rialto bridge / Piazza San Marco (that's a lot faster than taking the Vaporetto!).

We travelled with other family. We had a double room, and they had a much bigger room as they were travelling with a child. Loved the rooms, high ceilings and chandlers. Breakfast was basic but similar to the rest of Italy. Great for families, very central. Very clean.

Estuve 2 noches en Venecia. El Hotel bien localizado. Las habitaciones estaban en un tercer piso sin ascensor.La fotos del sitio web son bastante mejores que la realidad, pero razonablemente cómodas y funcionales.

Venezzia is a very expansive town. Even if Hotel is very correct, and we appreciate its situation near the center of the town, I think the price is very high for the bedroom.

When you think of Locanda Novo - just think Locanda "No Go"! Do not stay at this hotel. We had booked this hotel for 3 nights, but after the first night, we decided to check out and move to another hotel nearby. We had a number of problems with our room, and when we explained them to the manager in the morning, she was extremely rude, told me that she had already charged our credit card for three nights (which was a lie), did not apologize, and finally agreed to let us check out if we paid her for a night and a half! Regrettably, I agreed, just to be able to stop arguing with her. Here is what we found in the "Il Doge" room: 1) the shower has no walls or curtain, and a lip around the "shower" area that is no higher than one inch. Our daughter used the shower at night, and immediately all of the water poured under the bathroom door, across the marble floor of the room and under the door into the hallway! Apparently, this happens every day. The night desk clerk grabbed a mop from near our room and calmly began sopping up the water. 2) The beds were ridiculous. We had reserved a four-bedded room. My husband and I had the king sized bed, which was fine, but the other two beds were actually chairs that opened up into tiny cots, not suitable for anyone over the age of seven. Unfortunately, my 80 year old father and 20 year old daughter were to sleep in them. 3) Noise! The sounds from people walkng down the small passage in front of the hotel and directly under our window kept us awake. 4) Bed bugs! Our daughter was covered with bites in the morning. While we loved the location, we cannot recommend this hotel. We moved to the Hotel Giorgione just around the corner, and it was fantastic.

We spent a little bit of time looking for the hotel - apparently even the locals can't find a particular street - but once we found it, what a nice hotel! It was on a quiet side-street, with very easy walking access to the water bus, as well as many different restaurants, hotels, etc.

This hotel is known locally as the Laconda Nova, so remember this if you have trouble locating it on arrival. The hotel fronts onto a very narrow street, so keep a sharp eye out for it. It is just behind the S S Apostoli Church. The accommodation met all our expectations, for comfort and staff service. All the staff we dealt with had a little English, some better than others, but all were friendly and helpful. The breakfast provided is very light, but is enough to get you going. The central location could not be better: there are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it is an easy walk to the Rialto, and just a little further to San Marco. The Ca D'oro vaporeto (water bus) stop is very close and this gives easy transport up and down the Grand Canal.

I have to say, my friends and I were shocked on how beautiful the inn is. We booked it online at the last min. and it was like 3am and it was the only one that offer the date we wanted. We took a chance not knowing the location and boy were we ever so glad to have done so. We felt we were part of the past because where we are from everything is so modern that it was nice and different. The staff are very helpful and patient with our questions and the homemade croissants are really yummy. We didnt mind so much about the location but if you like to be closer to the square then this inn is not for you.

excellent breakfast brought to my room, Vivaldi, set me up for each of my 4 day stay for walking & stair climbing; quiet calle opposite another hotel, easy 8 min walk to Ca'd'Oro vaporetto # 1 stop, 4 stops fm railway station & 1 fm Rialto & as locando is just off Strada Nuova, there are plenty of shops & restaurants to distract you from the historical sights. tix can be purchased at locando for many of the advertised concerts. a good tourist map is available. my room was very comfortable, quiet, plenty of space. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. and there's an internet place not far away.

We had a wonderful stay at Locanda Novo in a really beautiful suite with nice furnishings and a great view and everyone was very helpful and kind to us. We joined our stay so much and we look forward to come back to Locanda Novo again.

This property is known as the Locanda Hotel in Venice. The map on the web site is completely wrong. When we finally arrived at the hotel after walking in circles at 1am-- the employee on duty told us that he didn't know anything about the "Casa Novo Inn" so we walked some more until we found a helpful person who called the hotel and found out that it was indeed the Locanda... Our room was spacious and clean, but other guests in the hotel at the same time had problems with broken a/c and water leakage.

Remember first that this is not a hotel but spacious elegant rooms with a 24 hour reception and a simple breakfast as you will find in small albergos round Italy. Secondly it is called Locanda Nova. Third it is directly behind the SS Apostoli church and is easy to find if you know where to go. Ignore the approximation on the map. Get off at Ca`d`Or, turn right down the main Strada Nuova to the SS Apostoli church, turn Left leaving the church on your right, pass the good fish restaurant da Bepi and if you blink you will miss a tiny opening on your right Calle de Preti. It is opposite the Hotel Mignon. The rooms are clean and spacious with high ceilings and are on the first floor up a broad reasonable flight of stairs. There is a stair lift installed for those who find the stairs too steep. The situation is very central with lots of reasonable restaurants around. It is not cheap but nor is anywhere in Venice and it represents good value for Venice. Good position, pleasent rooms and reasonable value.

The room was tastefully decorated and exceptionally spacious, with a large bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom. Tall people might find the low ceilings in the bathroom uncomfortable. A simple breakfast was served in the sitting room. My only complaint is the rooms were quite dark with only dim lights to provide illumination. Also, there are several Calle dei Preti's in Venice, make sure you head to the one near the Ca D'Oro vaporetto stop and Campo Santi Apostoli.

Location excellent. Very handy (10 mins)for Alilguna boat at Fondamanta Nove and central for all areas. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Our room (C.Cornaro)was huge and comfortable but bathroom was narrow. Campo with bar and cafe and public seats just round the corner. Close (5 mins)to traghetto stop at Ca Doro to cross Grand Canal. Breakfast served in room at time requested. Cannot compare with other albergi as our first stay in Venice but would recommend if your tastes are simple.

This hotel... while wonderfully situated in the middle of town offered one of the worst service I have ever experienced. From the minute my group walked in, we were treated with EXTREME suspicion. Nothing we did/wore/acted warranted that type of treatment. The lady at the front desk even called the manager to ask us additional questions. The manager was very rude and followed us around. He also mentioned that he will contact the police if we do anything inappropriate. Believe me, we are a perfectly normal group. Futhermore, when we returned at night, the new person at the front desk continued the same treatment. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant the rest of the day - definitely not worth it considering I only stayed in Venice for two days and one night. We toured Europe for over a month and this is the only place I had a major complaint. Please do not bother staying with them.

Excellent value close to the centre of Venice (5 mins to Rialto Bridge). We were on the top floor, and the only negative was that headroom in the bathroom was limited at one end (sloping roof). Room for 4 was partitioned, ideal for a family or friends. Would not hesitate to go here again.

Reason for the negativ/poor valuation "quietness of rooms" : There was a renovation/site at the house next to the hotel (2 meters away!)We did not know this bevor. If the weather was stormy, the window shutters was rattling and in the morning the charwomen talked very loud in front of our rooms door.

There are a couple of rooms that are two floors up and the stairs are very long and steep. If you can handle that, this is a great little hotel for the price and location.

The central location of this hotel made it very useful to use for siesta purposes because Venice can be a tiring placein which to wander. It is also very well located for the trip from the airport by the Alilaguna blu boat to Fondamente Nove. I sahll use the hotel agin for my next trip and won't bother to research any further.

The hotel was very nice inside. Only using the map, it would have been impossible to find the location. But people was helpful and we learned, that each "housenumber" only exists once in each district - this way you can find it quite easily. The location situated on the "venere.com" cannaregio-east-map ist wrong! It is situated about "1cm" on the right. Coming from Ca' d'Oro (vaporetto) you have to walk 200m to the right (until the end of Strada Nuova. You'll arrive at Campo Dei Santissimi Apostoli, the hotel is situated behind the church in a very small street.

Choosing accomodation in Venice for the first time is not easy. However we struck gold with our choice of this small hotel. As it is a converted building it is not suitable for children or grown who cannot climb steep stairs !! Cleanliness and Service is excellent. Room size was very good with a small sitting room attached to the bedroom. Best of all was the location. If you want a TRUE view of how the local people live then stay at this hotel. Cannaregio is an ideal place to be based and we were able to walk to all areas of Venice with ease. Rialto Bridge was 5 minutes, St Marks 10 mins. Having seen them I am so pleased we did not stay at some 'corporate' hotel full of other tourists. For a couple who like their own company and wanting to explore Venice I cannot commend this place any higher.

This hotel was in a wonderful location in Venice . . . just the right combination of REAL neighborhood, shops, eateries, and convenience to the canal stop. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was HUGE (2 adults and 2 children)and very clean. The bathroom, though snug, was modern and very, very clean. Linens clean and in good condition as well. The continental breakfast here was very good and the boys were thrilled with the hot cocoa. And all this for very good price. I would encourage every visitor to Venice to avoid the major hotels near San Marco (where we at one time had our reservations) and get themselves into a neighborhood setting like that where Locanda Novo is located. And, the neighborhood McDonald's was a treat for the boys after a week and a half of pasta and pizza! And . . . don't miss the neighborhood shops selling Murano glass . . . better prices and a great selection compared with many of the shops on Murano proper.

This hotel suited us perfectly. Very easy from Marco Polo and in a district with many restaurants, cafes etc. We particularly liked having breakfast brought to our room. The bathroom was unusually spacious with an excellent shower. Within easy walking distance of Rialto and San Marco. 2 minutes from vaporetto.Friendly, helpful staff and very reasonably priced.

We found the accommodation to be well placed with lots of local amenities close-by such as water buses, a chemist, snack-bars and loads of places to sit and eat. We found it was only a short walk to Piazza San Marco and the water stop to Murano. There is a loud clock tower nearby which starts ringing at 7am at regular intervals thereafter but keeping the windows closed eradicated most of the noise. We found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful and their English was excellent.
