Because I don't speak italian it was difficult to find the place however once there it was easy to get to and from and there was always room to park the scooter I rented right outside the gate. Again because it was Christmas Eve day there was some confusion over when I was arriving and I couldn't get a hold of a real person when I first arrived in the country. However, the place was excellent. Very clean. Although I didn't use the kitchen except to keep milk in the fridge it was nice to have a table to use for eating at when I returned with my fabulous italian takeaway meals. The only thing that could make the kitchen better would be a microwave to quickly heat food. I didn't want to mess with trying to light an unfamiliar stove or oven. Proprietor was friendly when we finally met. Room was quite large and while not decorated in any recognisable fashion there were extra towels and blankets and pillows available in the room without having to ask for them. The bath was clean but like most places where humidity is high there was some mold on the ceilings (painted surfaces only). However, all the fixtures and fittings you come in contact with were immaculately clean. Because the owner wasn't the one who let me in, I had to figure out how to turn the heating on for myself (which took getting a ladder out and climbing up to the water heater). For a family some of these things might be difficult but for an independent woman or man these were very minor drawbacks. This town house would cater well to either adult couples or single travellers like myself who don't need all the comforts of home to enjoy themselves. It is a significant distance out of the town and I would recommend that you rent a scooter if you plan to stay for a few days as this really makes Rome much more accessible from this house. Expectations should be for a clean room with access to a communal kitchen/entrance area. Come with no higher expectations and you won't be disappointed. If I vis

rooms were spacious and clean, door locks felt safe. THE SHOWERS ARE AWFUL... AWFUL. No hot water in the shower--NONE. Barely any water flow and broken shower nossel. No bathroom ventilation, so the floors stayed wet our entire trip.

I only needed an overnight stay in Rome, so Massalonga was perfect for me. If I were staying longer, I might just find it a little too far from the centre as it is only serviced by a bus. My room was spacious, the bathroom adequate, and there was a small kitchen for use. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. My only major problem was that my reservation was accidentally cancelled, then corrected after I contacted venere. Then I was told to go to another address, which turned out to be wrong. If I had not had a mobile phone, it would have been a catastrophe.

Simpatia Flat Massalongo is a little bit far from the city centre, and it is EVEN NOT CLOSE to the location indicated on the map! (1.5 - 2 km from Città Universitaria) Public transport (bus 211 + Metro) to the centre takes at least 30 minutes, and after 8PM bus 211 comes totally randomly (between 5-90 minutes, ignoring it's timetable). The room, the bathroom and the kitchen were clean (although the bathroom is a bit mouldy) and the bathroom lacks of any place you could put sour soap and towel. People of Rome seem totally impolite and barbaric, especially on public transportation, it was not too easy with our 6 year old child! Fortunately Paolo, the manager of the apartment was very kind and helpful.

El apartamento está muy lejos del centro. Hay que coger el metro y después un autobús. El domingo estuvimos 45' esperando en la parada del autobús. Es importante avisar con antelación de la hora aproximada de llegada. Nosotros quisimos avisar a nuestra llegada al apartamento (porque no teníamos ni idea del tiempo que tardaríamos desde el aeropuerto) y nos encontramos con el teléfono apagado (no hay recepción) por lo que tuvimos que esperar más de una hora a que conectara el teléfono. No hay ningún cartel en la puerta del apartamento ni en los timbres.
