The guest house from hell. After staying at 12 accommodations throughout Italy we ended up here. The only good thing to be said was its central location and it had hot water. Finding this Guesthouse is difficult since there are no signs, but if you have a good street map you will locate the building. The Guesthouse is located on the THIRD FLOOR (80 steps) and there is NO ELEVATOR. If you are traveling with heavy baggage be prepared to carry the baggage up. The Guesthouse owner will not help with the luggage. The room is complete with a toilette. The room we had came with a double bed and a single bed, wardrobe, two chairs, and two bed tables. The bed felt like we were sleeping on potatoes and the pillows felt like a loose bag of potatoes. The room does not have any internet capability, even though the web site and confirmation email said it was available at additional cost. The owner speaks little English and so we had difficulty communicating with him. He also was not available most of the time. He did give us the option to not take the breakfast and reduced the rate by 4E per person per day. The web site lists 24 hour front desk, I must admit that the front desk was there 24 hours but it was not manned at all. We saw the owner one time for less than a half an hour during the two full days of our stay. The owner was only there upon our arrival and instructed us to leave the keys in the room when we were leaving. He did leave us notes telling us that he would like cash even though his web site says that he takes credit cards. I left a reply note telling him that I was going to pay with credit card. When we were leaving he was not there to collect the payment for the room. We left him a note authorizing him to charge our credit card the cost of the room. As for the shuttle service that he arranged, the person came bringing his laundry and when we went to load our luggage into her vehicle, we found that she had her own boxes in the back limiting the space. Hice una reserva de dos noches en una habitación individual con baño propio en el Guesthouse Center City de Palermo. Al llegar allí, el dueño me dijo que había overbooking y que la reserva no se había podido hacer según mis intereses. De esta manera, lo que me ofrecía era quedarme allí, pero compartiendo el baño con otra habitación, o bien irme a un Bed & Breakfast situado en Mondello, a 7 kilómetros del Guesthouse Center City, en las afueras de Palermo, en el que él había reservado una habitación. Por otra parte, el propietario apenas se disculpó; al contrario, me explicó todo esto de manera desagradable y con malos modos, lo cual me resultó aún más indignante. Pienso que, teniendo mi número de teléfono, tendría que haberme avisado antes de que llegará allí, porque así mi decisión hubiera sido más libre. Por otra parte, la opción de ir a Mondello, al estar tan lejos, era implanteable. Creo, en definitiva, que actuó de mala fe, para que, pese a todo, no tuviera más remedio que quedarme allí, como en efecto sucedió. En definitiva, me pareció un mal servicio y un trato pésimo de cara al cliente, por lo que desaconsejo acudir al Guesthouse Center City de Palermo. Recomiendo, en cambio, Giorgio's House, donde tanto el trato como el servicio es mucho mejor.
