HOTEL REVIEWS

We stayed here to be handy to a train station to visit Rome. We find it noisy and the rooms need redecorating. Breakfast was a non event. Staff were friendly. Frascati itself is interesting though. We would never have heard of it if we hadn't stayed there.

I read the reviews before reserving the room. They were not exactly favorable, but, I've found lots of poor reviews are not deserved. This is the case here. It is what it is, a pensione. The water was real hot for the shower (that's good). The room was large and view great! Frascati was a great place to stay and visit Rome as well (25 min. train to central Rome).

The location of the hotel is excellent and the view from the room is wonderful. The surroundigs are noisy, to think about for those who have a difficulty to sleep. Breakfast was not anything for us, just sweet things. You could do better and fresher to go to a cafe, though breakfast is included in the room rate. The shower could have been a bit more modern. All in all an OK place to stay for a younger people who does not mind simplicity.

The hotel is well situated and clean. However, I thought it was over priced for the type of room you got.

The hotel is well situated being fairly close to the train station to Rome and to the town's charming main square. However, the square comes to life late on summer nights and causes too much noise in the room. Shutting the windows also shuts out the essential cool breeze! The room and furnishings are a bit rickety but there is a great view from the window. We could not really communicate with reception or staff in English, but they are friendly enough. The only TV channel I wanted to watch was the one showing the World Cup games, and irritatingly it was the only channel with dreadful reception.

Very convenient for Frascati rail station, although be prepared for a climb (steps or zigzag footpath) of about 20m/65' height difference from station to hotel front entrance! Centrally located for town cafes and restaurants and overlooking bus station, so handy for excursions to surrounding towns and countryside. (Beware of somewhat erratic bus times and get tickets before entering bus!). Friendly reception, and room was quiet enough with windows closed. It would be considerably noisier in summer with windows open, directly above the main centre of town activity. Room was very spacious with 3 beds (though we only booked a double) and a 4'th bed folded up. No minibar in room, but cold drinks were available whilst reception was open, at very reasonable prices. Views - as advertised - were breathtaking, from our window!

Had to take fairly poor breakfast on OUTSIDE terrace or in room. Not very good in November.

Great hotel for an overnight stay near to Ciampino. Very close to Frascati station. No lounge, bar etc. Fabulous views from all the rooms. Breakfast is served on small terrace. Due to its excellent location in a very busy square, it is inevitably quite noisy. Best thing to do is join the buzzing crowds and have a late night yourself!

Traditional Italian building with character, clean and spacious and right in the middle of the lively town. Great views of town centre and towards Rome. Some noise at night from bars and cafes but didn't prevent us from sleeping and will definitely make a return visit.

hotel was clean and convenient. people working there were fine. View from room was splendid. breakfast was a big disappointment. packaged white bread and prepackaged sweets were unacceptable. we ended going out to get fresh rolls every morning. hotel and room definately needed to be renovated. room and halls badly needed to be repainted. it made the room feel dreary. bathroom was newish but somehow still rundown. towel rack falling off, tiles missing, etc. We decided not to stay again on our return trip and found another small hotel in town.

The place was a little hard to find since no sign was outside . The view of Rome was fantastic the city was clean and the restaurants were great . We ate most evening meal in Frascati not in Rome . The train To Rome was clean but left Rome from different tracks and was somewhat confusing . The hotels rooms are old but very spaceous .

Very good location : only 5 mn walk from town centre and railway station and a very good price. Next time I will have to stay in Frascati I will be in Camera con vista Relais.

Camera con Vista is a small hotel located at the second floor of a magnificent palazzo-like building right next to the busy centre of Frascati. At least the room I occupied with my husband lived up completely to the name of the hotel: A splendid view of the countryside towards Rome. We got a hearty welcome from a charming receptionist. The room was spacy, clean and had well functioning shower and toilet facilities. Breakfast (as good as you can expect it in Italy) was served at a charming balcony, again with a fine view. All in all: A pleasant stay at Camera con Vista. Just one remark: The hotel does not have private parking. It was a bit difficult to find public parking and we had to pay the ordinary fee (not much).

The hotel is tucked away on the second floor of a large building but the rooms are large and clean and the views over the Piazza and Rome are stunning. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. There's no shared dining room but breakfast (coffee and croissants etc...) was good and can be taken on a pleasant small terrace or in your room. The location is great, markets, cafes, bars etc.. on your doorstep and very close to the train station to Rome. Recommended.

Staying at Camera Con Vista was a wonderful experience. Our room had a great view of Aldobrindi and far off Rome, and the hotel was very convenient for many restaurants and services. The added private parking, although tight, was an incredible convenience. We will definitely stay here again, as it is a great base for Rome and the surrounding countryside. Four stars!

hard to find as it is in a building with several other businesses and behind a cafe.

Superb. The location is sonderful - on the edge of Frascati's main square, close to train station, yet commanding magnificent views. The only downside to the very convenient location is some traffic noise from the road below, but it is not too bad.

Property is in dire need of refurbishment but is otherwise very centrally located and close to all the cantine selling Frascati table wine. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast is meant to be served in your bedroom at a time you indicate the night before but our breakfast never came and we had to leave to catch a morning flight. Rather pricey for what you get and would not recommend staying longer than necessary.

It is a pension on the third floor of an office building, old elevator, often not functioning. Evening receptionist does not speak English. Toilets were dirty and needed re-cleaning. Great view.

Welcome from staff v good. 1 Star guest house- not 2 * hotel. No heating in evening in room; ok in morning. Occupies 1 floor of large building, not the entire lot! Receptionist was friendly and helpful.

The Hotel was very very difficult to find but partly it was my fault in not realise that the address and phone number of the hotel was not complete on the venere.com site!!! This is obviously issue for venere.com and must be resolved. The hotel itself was fine and in a central location of the town of Fascaly.

We enjoyed our one night at Camera con vista. The pensione is located right on the main square. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the owners spoke English which was welcoming. There is no car parking facilities, but the public parking is not far from the B & B. For those who want to stay in Frascati and commute into Rome, the train station is close by. I would recommend this bed and breakfast.

Good location as 1 night stop over from Ciampino airport before moving on. Detailed directions from airport wouild have been useful. Arriving on a Friday evening, traffic in the town was very busy and car parking was a nightmare! some forward warning and advice would have been very useful

Noise was due to large evening crowds gathering below at nights but it was only a continual hum not a disturbing noise. I found the place cool and would highly recommend.

Nice location for visiting Rome as it is close to the rail staion.Fracati is a nice village with lots of restaurants, bars. Rooms are old but quite large. Difficult to find hotel as there is only a very small sign on the wall in front of Hotel. Can be very noisy.

Good location (opposite Frascati station, 1 train every hour form and to Roma Termini)for Rome visitors, who want to stay outside the city.

the approach to the hotel was up dark narrow stairs - or by lift, not initially used as I was unsure of which floor hotel located on. The hotel was smaller than expected - the picture was of a large building on a hill whereas the reality was the hotel was on a small part of the third floor. I expected a common breakfast room with a choice rather than a rather limited room service breakfast

Breakfast was served in the room, which was fine, but not as shown. The situiation and place with the view and big shutters on the window was just as I imagined. We had a really good meal in a place round the corner, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

If you want to be in the centre of Frascati this small hotel is perfect. As the name indicates you have a wonderful view from the room towards Rome, the central Piazza in town where all people come in the evenings for their "volta" This is what you pay for. The room is of ordinairy quality and the hotel has no public areas exept for a little terrace where you can have your breakfast, otherwise you will have it in your room. If you lucky you can use the hotels only parkingplace within the building free of charge. The staf is serviceminded but not so god in speaking english. Some stairs down outside the hotel you have the railway station from where you can go to Rome.
