The loction was good. I also like the complimentary water provided. One negative point is the lack of free WiFi service, instead the service costs 17.40 euros per day. For 2-3 days, the hotel even ran out of the internet cards. The beds were too soft for me, causing me some back pain.

I was satisfied with this hotel ; near to the station, center of the city, very quiet & spacious & clean rooms. Price/quality is really good. But the breakfast was not included . €14 per person is a little expensive, but hot buffet is good.

L'hotel è nel pieno centro di Valencia, la camera era molto spaziosa, e l'hotel davvero bello. Con Venere abbiamo pagato solo 70 euro invece le tariffe scritte in hotel arrivavano anche a 300 euro.

Great hotel for the offer we got, for under 100 euro in the centre of Valencia who could want more on a budget. Highly recommended.

Located in the "old City" very near to the center in a quite place. The rooma are very spacious (the only concern about the room is the "panorama" from the window (a courtyard) but... for me is a very minimal issue. The price is very competitive and price/quality is really good. Is not included the breakfast. We decided to have the breakfast in the hotel and was really a good choice: 14 Euros per person but... a very high quality buffet (hot and cold).

The hotel is a very old fashioned and the décor is aimed at 65 to 80 year old. Very suited to the older traveller and the hotel rooms are getting tatty and in great need of repair.

Great hotel. Great price for the quality. Great location. Would definitely stay there again.

We booked bed and breakfast at the hotel on Venere but when we checked out of the hotel they charged us for a very expensive buffet breakfast. This was really upsetting especially as we would not have eaten the breakfast had we not thought it was included in our room rate. The breakfast itself was awful and we only ate a bit of bread and drank a glass of juice so to be charged 26 euros for it was outrageous

This was our first stay at Astoria Palace. It is very well located within walking distance of all the sights. We only ever needed to use the metro to get to and from the airport. The room was extremely large and there was a lot of storage space. However, we requested a double but got a twin and the bathroom was in need of updating. The staff were very helpful and even corrected any mistakes I made when speaking Spanish! The hotel bar was affordable and a relaxing place to watch the Euro 2008 football. On the floor marked E in the elevator there is a computer where guests can use the internet and a printer for free. No one seemed to know about this so it was always available when we went to use it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Astoria Palace and would stay there again.

The rate we booked detailed 'full breakfast', but the hotel said this was not the case and we were charged €14 per person additional for breakfast!

Whilst a business hotel it is still fine for leisure travellers. The staff are excellent as is the location. I would recommend this hotel. One negative concerns the restaurant; it is oddly located in the hotel, has no atmosphere, its appearance is uninspiring and the food spartan - although good; both of our meals came without any vegetables. Don't let the restaurant put you off using this hotel as there are many restaurants around.

It's a perfect "take off" place for sightseeing, really close to the centre of Valencia. We wen to Valencia for a week end. It's simple to arrive to the centre of Valencia: the undergroung starts from the airport and it takes 20 minutes to get to the centre (Xativa). Be careful: on Sunday they DON'T work, museum are closed and just a few shops are open.

I chose Valencia for a romantic long weekend, and my choice couldn't be any better! The city is beautiful, the weather was excellent and the hotel was wonderful! right in the center of the beautiful (and clean) old town, located in a silent little square! Nice building, the welcoming was kind, the room really spacious with satellite digital TV, the bathroom big, always clean! I definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone!

its a tipical luxurius hotel, just in the center of Valencia, perfect rooms all equiped with everything you can need, room facilities were of the highest quality, nice view and perfect breakfast, no need to talk about how clean were the rooms, we are talking for a hight quality hotel, the photo and the information of venere are so lower of the reality. the hotel was a 5 star hotel and venere introduced it as a normal one. also part of a famous hotel chain, for this property 90 euros is a perfect price, i would say that 150 euros would be a normal price for it.

Good hotel in the city center, large room and very clean. You can visit the city in a 3days journey, walking in the center and using a bus to reach the Americas Cup Zone and the beach Visit Oceanographic! great experience

this hotel was the best one we have stayed in the price was slightly higher than others bit it was cetainly worth it.The breakfast would hace been 16euros so we went outside and had breakfast in a little bar?cafe by the cathedral called Valencia cant think of 2nd word but the meal was great for 5.50 euros.Cereals, hot milk, toast, crossaunts, orange juice, butter and jam and milky coffee and ham,not in that order. The hotel even had fresh orange milk and coffee and tea laid on in the foyer ay 5.00am for the guests leaving but unfortunately we didnthave time as our taxi came as soon as we got down stairs. If they had informed us we would have got down earlier. The room was spacious and very clean and bedding changed most days. there was plenty of spaice for clothes, hanging and draws. The wake up call was on time and we were able to pay the night before to save time in the morning. There was free water in the mini fridge which was replaced as you drank it.

The hotel is fine, perfectly located in the center of Valenica. Two little things: a bit noisy and one day there was no hot water. Then again it could have been just a coincidence but it was annoying.

We had a great stay at the Astoria Hotel. The bar is reasonably priced, rooms were large, nice friendly staff. Only complaint is that breakfast is quite a lot so we didn't pay for it and ate outside the hotel in one of the many cafes. We paid 45 euros per person which was a good price. I wouldn't have been happy paying anymore than that, mainly due to the fact breakfast wasn't included.

Super base to explore a lovely city! Caution - local restaurants busy Saturday, shut on Sunday! Check them out and book! Spa / jaccussi was disappointing decor
Norway, Feb 2008
The hotel was great, but the price on the web is misleading. When I booked two rooms for three nights, the total price showed as a total price, not per room or per person. When it says in plain writing "TOTAL PRICE", you assumed that it is for the both rooms. The information given on price is not quality checked, and should improve.

Really nice hotel - room large and clean with a great view over the city. Though we were lucky in that respect: some rooms looked out over a hole in the centre of the building. Very central location, though there is no free parking nearby.

Great hotel situated in a small and quiet square right in the centre of Valencia, in a position very close to all the beautiful monuments of the city. Nearby the hotel there are also many bar, restaurants, pubs and bus stops. Rooms are wide and clean.

Ci tornerei senza alcun minimo dubbio.

Over all it was a pleasant stay at the Astoria. The only concern is with some of the reception staff who did not seem to be too interested in their job, and when I enquired they had a roof top restaurant (which is indicated on their website), they lady on the day said that they did not have one, to which I asked if they ever had one, and she said that they actualy do, but it is only available for wedding parties etc, which was very confusing if not disappointing, as the it is located on the top (9th Floor) and would have provided a pleasant view of the city! Cleaning staff were very friendly and most accommodating as were foyer staff! The price for accommodation is worth the stay in this very confortable hotel. My only concern to others is that other staff members do not seem to like their jobs very much!

The hotel is nice, and reasonably close in for tourists. However, the location also has a major disadvantage in that it is very hard to get to, especially if one is driving. The facility advertises that it has parking, but that really means that there is a public parking area not far away. Breakfast in the hotel is very ample and also costly unless you eat a great deal. You get a lot of noise in the room if that bothers you.

we were very pleased with these accommodations. The location was perfect. Unfortunately we were there during la semana santa and their facilities were closed for the 3 days that we were there.(thurs to sat.) The people were very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet. They charged us less, than the reservation stated, which was a great surprise. We would go there again.

Great location just off Plaza Ayuntamiento and a great price for four star accommodation. However, hotel had no record of being booked through Venere. This is the third hotel I have stayed at which had apparently been sent a booking but not registered it - moral: always phone to confirm booking.
