Receptionist who dealt with me on arrival was most unpleasant. The room allocated was not as requested and it took a week to obtain the very desirable suite we wanted.The rest of the Reception Staff were fine Dining was for the most part on a Buffet basis. The ALaCarte restaurants being open only two days a week and requiring 48hour pre-booking.We did not sample them but by report they were very good. The food variety and quality were excellent for the first two weeks but seemed to 'tail off' thereafter The Public Rooms were fine but very noisy with 'entertainment'every night.

This Hotel should not be rated a 4 star Hotel but only a 2 or 3 star, the rooms were dirty on arrival and were not cleaned at all in our weeks stay. The rooms were also very very noisy with little or no sound insulation, we could hear our neighbours snoring anmd turning over in bed and using the bathroom, also when the neighbours smoked we got all the cigarette smoke in our room. all the public places in the hotel were full of , and stank of cigar and cigarette smoke very badly, so we had to avoid them at all times.Every morning early we were woken by very noisy staff in the corridors. Each time we made a request for something we were asked for a deposit, not only a $20 deposit for the key to the safe in our room but a $16 charge to use it for one week, and a deposit of $10 for each pool towel which were worn out. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, they did manage to get me an iron to use but no ironing bourd, so I had to use a coffee table, I was allowed the use of the iron for one evening only. Breakfast was not bad, but all the fruit was from a can, Resteraunt was clean.the Hotel is situated at the top of a pretty steep hill, there is a free shuttle bus every half hour up and back, without this the stay would have impossible. We really enjoyed Peurto De La Cruz and would return, BUT NOT TO THIS HOTEL. NOT A FOUR STAR AND FOR WHAT WE GOT IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE.
