Residence Colosseo - Rome

Our one bedroom apartment for four was very clean and had everything we needed. The only downside was that the mattress on the pullout sofa was not very comfortable. Italy was having a heat wave while we were there. Luckily, our air-conditioning worked perfectly!! The apartment is conveniently located very close to the Cavour Metro station. The Colliseum and Ancient Rome are just a few blocks away. The apartment manager, Achille, was wonderful. He spoke good English and went out of his way to help us get settled in. There was a grocery store close by and plenty of restaurants. The price was reasonable for a whole small apartment in Rome and the neighborhood always felt safe. I would stay there again.

I stayed in Residence colosseo with my wife and brother and sister in law. As soon as we arrived we already notice that something was wrong as the inside building smelt of humidity. Once we entered the apartment it was more of the same. You could even feel the dust. When we went to check the toilet it was, overall, well cleaned apart from the slighly smell of pee (I think it was from the pipes). We also found out that there wasn't any type of soap. We went to ask the porter and he told us that we could wash our hands only with water as we don't need any soap. A good point of the place was the spaciousness of rooms as well as the surrondings as it is quite lively. There is also a very nice pizzeria just in front of the apartment. I wouldn't recommend it as quality of the service as well as the cleanliness of the apartment aren't very good at all.

We were told that the room could be paid for in cash when we arrived(minus the credit card deposit charge)or by credit card. The credit card charge would be extra 10% But upon arrival the Agent would take only cash in Euros. As we didn't have enough Euros he walked us about 6 blocks to a Banking Machine, in a thunderstorm with hard rain! We also were not told when we arrived that there would be NO room service on Sat or Sun. That left us on Sat & Sun with no clean towels. When we called the Agent he stated that we would just have to reuse the dirty towels!

Estuvimos tres noches cuatro personas. La localización es genial, la mejor, pero las dimensiones mínimas. La cocina nos resolvió bastante el tema de las comidas, pero fue complicado encontrar supermercados en la zona. En cuanto a limpieza, no hay queja. La zona es tranquila, pero sí que se escuchaban ruidos de los bares por la noche. Lo mejor, el capuccino en el bar de la plaza a las 7:30 de la mañana. Nos encantó la estancia, creo que sí repetiríamos.

It was a nice residence located i walking distance of the Colosseum. For four days we did most of Rome and it was never any long way back to the residence. We did not use the cocking facility, but it was nice to have the possibility . It is absolutely a place to recomend to others who travel on a budget.

Wonderful location near Cavour metro station. Very comfortable and spacious rooms.
