We stayed in the Prague Central for 4 days in April 2008 with two small kids. First, we were impressed that a person speaking Ukrainian called us two or three times to specify our needs and our baby's needs. We ordered a transfer- the English speaking driver was in the airport in time, helped us with our luggage and gave some advices re. tourist attractions. Upon entering the apartment on the 5th floor, we were suprised how spacious and nice it is with almost everything one needs. Later the staff brought us an additional new set of glassware and pots, a mixer for the baby. The bed linen has been changed right there, it was fresh. The only disadvantage we faced was lack of hot water. Three days out of 4 the water was very cool, so we had problems taking the shower. We also enjoyed having two bathrooms and a nice huge balcony facing the garden. in the morning we were awoken by birds singing.
The surrounding is OK, not too close to the center, but since subway and tram are very close, it did not bother us at all to go to the center even with a baby stroller. There is a small nice park in front of the hotel. Everything was blooming and nice when we were there. Overall, we can fully recommend this place and want to thank Tamara, Ukrainian speaking employee for her help!

All rooms were clean and apartement was spacious.
Located close to tram and metro so easy to get to central Prague.
Breakfast was not offered, but easy to get somewhere in centre of Prague.
Would be nice to have some dimmed lights and if satelite system for TV would work
Reception only open 10-11 am or contact by phone

Very spacious and clean apartment. Within walking distance from a metro station, which is good. Quiet rooms and area. The reception is not manned 24h a day, but you have keys to the front door. The staff doesn't speak english very well, but the communication was not an issue. Nice people. Not daily cleaning (but who needs that anyway?!).

I've been in Prague with 4 my friends for a short vacation. The flat was great! Wide and clean (we could have stayed even in 7 without significant problems). The flat is not so close to the centre of the city but it's very close to the undeground station of Krizikova; in 15 minutes one can be in the centre of Prague.
Furthermore, the flat was rather cheap, which is always a pleasure!
Definitely, I would recommend the apartment in "Prague Central"!

Property is really more like a furnished apartment rather than a hotel. Everything was fine, great location, close to transport and sources of food and drink. Only a few things we did not like: the bathroom is very nicely renovated but has no soap holder. Bath soap is not provided. The bath towels were disgusting and old and mine had a hole in it. So worn out they wouldn't even be suitable as rags. Although dish detergent was provided, there were no sponges to wash or clean up. Apart from that, this was an excellent, value for money property with a great location a mere 10 minutes away from the city centre and I would not hesitate to stay there again (will bring my own towel next time!).

The relation between prince and quality is very good. For more 3 persons or more in an excellent alternative. The location is good because you are within 10 minutes to the centrer but without the congestion and have both alternatives, tram and Metro. It is notable the gentleness of the service. Also the Wi-fi connection is good without extra cost.

Prague residence is not a traditional hotel, but an apartment building in which you rent an apartment. The owners/managers do not live there and there is no allocated staff, so at night you are on your own in the building. The area is very calm and quiet. There is a phone number to call if you need assistance, sometimes they answer, sometimes not. English understanding is very limited. Friendly managers, clean and spacious rooms. Very close to subway/metro.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was spacious and modern with a great kitchen. It was perfect for a car, with free parking in the street. It was only 2 blocks from the metro stop to get to the downtown. The price was incredible. The owners only speak Czech and Italian.

Very good accomodation.
we felt that the name and descriptioin of the location was a bit misleading as it was a good 25 minutes "Route Mach" (Fast Walking ) to the City Centre.
Otherwise enjoyed the whole stay tremendously!!
Thanks for a lovely break.

The staff is not multilingual as stated. The owner is Italian and can hardly understand English. It does not actually have a front desk, it has a room at the entrance where they receive guests. It's not 24 hours, but it's not a hotel either.
A very nice apartment, spacious, with everything you need in the kitchen if you will cook. No daily room service to change towels, but again, it's an apartment.
It's a little farther from the center of Prague as I expected. Nearest metro station is about 400 m.

I would not stay in this hotel again. Although Krizikova is only a
couple of metro stops from the centre, the area is dead and felt a
little dodgy. Walking the couple of blocks from the metro to the hotel, I would pass derelict buildings, a couple of seedy pubs filled with men only, and otherwise almost nobody in the street. The hotel doesn't even have a sign out the front. The apartments are certainly big and new but there is not much furniture so you can't enjoy the space. The shower would take 20 minutes to get hot, there was no phone, and no satellite TV. There was also no breakfast or supermarkets close by to buy food.
The hotel also failed to warn me that reception is only open Monday to
Friday, 10am to 4pm (despite emailing me to check my arrival time). When I arrived (on a Sunday evening), the hotel doors were locked shut. Lucky someone hadn't closed the door properly so I didn't have to sleep on the street. Managed to get into the building and only then found a sign with reception opening hours and a phone number to call otherwise. When I called it, the guy casually told me he'd be there in 20 minutes. After a 7 hour train trip, I wasn't very happy.

Let me start with the good stuff. The staff of Prague Central was very nice, the rooms were clean, the apartment was large, kitchens and bathrooms were in excellent condition.
Unfortunately, the apartment is not in the center of Prague, but about 25 minutes away by metro(10 min. walk) or tram (next door). There are a few bars and restaurants around the apartment, but the area is lacking any tourist entertainment. The apartment is located ina very nice building, but inside the apartment is full of empty furniture, which makes it quite uncomfortable. The kitchen is relatively well equiped, but there was no hairdryer or iron provided. The beds were very uncomfortable. The elevator stops mid-way between floors and you have to carry your luggage up or down one flight of stairs. The TV only shows 5 basic Czech channels. Finally, there is no telephone or any kind in the apartment and the nearest payphone is not that close.
If you travel in a large group, this apartment may still be a good choice as there are not that many choices for a large group available in Prague. For smaller groups (4 people or less), I would prefer staying in a hotel in the center of the city.

I was surprised at the quality of the accomodation, it was definately four star, and was close to shops and restuarants. It is situated abouted 20 mins from Wenceslaz sq.(Which I consider to be good physical exercise).
I recommend that any traveller who is in Prague should stay there due to it's cost effectiveness and it's friendly service.

the rooms were very spacious but very sparsely
furnished. No tv,no microwave,not even a tele-
phone in the room in case of emergency. Maybe
in time, the apartment will be more furnished than what it has now.although the metro is close by,beware of pickpockets.

'Prague Central' is located in Karlin district (15 minutes walk from the very heart of Prag or 5 minutes if you use the subway). Karlin is a quiet and smart district with new clubs and restaurant near the Vlatva River. My advice : the restaurant Charleston on Krizikova.

the picutes do not do the accomodation justice. The accomodation is new and there is nothing lacking plenaty of space in all rooms plus lots of storage space. only flaw was you could not pay by credit or debit card only cash or cheque which was an inconvienence which could have beeb avoided if we had been made aware of it before we travelled.
Local bars where very good. wuld recommend it for couples or groups but not for fmailies beacues of the distance formthe town about a 20 min walk into town but only about 10 from tram station
