Me and my mother stayed at Residence Monceau Etoile for 4 night and we found the hotel very well located by with very small rooms (you almost don't have space for your luggage and clothes), public areas very poor.

Excellent special price. Some wear of the furniture and the shower. We were very pleased with the kitchinette.

The best aspect of this hotel is the location - it's in a wondeful neighborhood with a nearby daily street market, lots of small shops and restaurants, and a relatively close metro station (Villiers about two blocks away). The breakfast at the hotel (included in the price we paid - 69 euros per night) was surprisingly good. As others have noted, the rooms are very small - when extended the sofa bed pretty much fills the entire room. The bed was more comfortable than it looked although it was rather squeaky. You can hear noise from the halls but we were O.K. sleeping with ear plugs. The bathroom was quite nice although also cramped. If you're large or not particularly limber, the bathroom could be a problem. All of the desk workers spoke English quite well. The room service was good but they don't clean the kitchen area. The kitchen isn't particularly well stocked (for example, we had only one fork and there's nothing for cleaning dishes). We had two complaints about the hotel. First, we wanted to extend our stay one extra night but were told that we would have to pay more than the Internet rate (99 euros instead of 69). We ended up moving to a different hotel that night. The more significant complaint was that upon checking out we were charged 91 euros for phone calls! We made about four calls to AirFrance at CDG Airport (which lost our luggage for a few days) and about six or seven short calls to a friend on the other side of Paris. The woman at the desk said that calls to cell phones in France are very expensive. Our friend (who lives part-time in France) said it is true that calls to cell phones are more expensive in France than in the U.S. but that to be charged 91 euros for our phone calls was just a rip-off, plain and simple. So, we were generally happy with the hotel - until checking out. I would definitely stay in the neighborhood again but I would seek another hotel after getting ripped off with the phone calls.

Ottimo albergo, stanze piccole ma funzionali, il personale della reception cordialissimo e molto disponibile. Il residence è vicino ad una zona pedonale molto servita (supermercati e varie rosticcerie). Ottimi i collegamenti con il centro, la stazione della metro è a soli 8 minuti di distanza (non è assolutamente lontana); da gare de lyon al residence in soli 12 minuti! Consigliatissimo

We loved the area where the hotel was located. There were lots of shops open till evening and there was a metro station really close. It was a lovely neighbourhood. The hotel was very quiet and we enjoyed an excellent breakfast everyday. The recepcionists were very helpful and friendly. Despite being the apartment quite small, we had everything necessary for our stay, such as the kitchen and fridge. And we had an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower!!!

Se dovessi tornare a Parigi, tornerei in questo Hotel. Ottima posizione vicino fermata metro. In 5 minuti in metro arrivi in centro. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottima. Dalla stanza vista sui camini di Parigi e sulla Torre Eiffel. Bello.

Sistemazione in zona tranquilla, sicura e comoda. Servizi nelle vicinanze(metro, ristoranti, bar, lavanderie, garage e supermercati)lo spazio cucina, le stoviglie ed il "tavolo" da pranzo erano insufficienti per 4 persone, necessitavano turni per usufruirne.

Lugar que recomiendo para estar en París unos días. Tranquilidad por la noche en los alrededores para volver andando y una boca de metro cerca. El Arco del Triunfo está a unos 15 minutos aproximadamente andando, al igual que en sentido contrario la Plaza Clichy y, al lado, el Moulin Rouge y Montmartre. El desayuno es tipo buffet y está muy bien. La atención de las recepcionistas fue genial. A la vuelta hay tiendas que sacan sus productos a la calle y restaurantes que ofertan comida para llevar no muy cara. El único pero es el ruido de los que se levantan un poco pronto por el pasillo, pero eso ya depende de la educación y no del hotel en sí. Un saludo

Very nice hotel also for families, small appartements but fine for some nights! the breakfast was the best we ever had in France! the breakfast room was a little bit to small and to warm! we had a nice stay in Paris! good surrounding for shopping

No airconditioning in rooms. If you ask a few times, they will provide table fans but they are not very great either. Make sure you discuss sizes of all rooms available. Rooms within the same price range have different sizes. One we stayed was so small that if we had to lay down our suitcases, you had to fold the sofa bed (which was the only thing available for a bed). Loction is good and staff is fairly helpful. if you are travelling with luggage, I would suggest taking an airport shuttle as against the metro.

The distance from the metro was a concern. I wish the web site was more accurate about the actual walking distance from the Metro.

Probably the best place I've ever stayed in in Paris. Beautiful rooms and the kitchen was especially handy - it was everything we needed.

Loved the location with plenty of small markets nearby. The apartment was quite small, but that was expected. The service was also very satisfactory. Would definitely stay there again.
