Hotel Mike Ditka Resorts Runaway Beach Club - Kissimmee Orlando

This was a great getaway for someone from the Orlando area. Everything was great and I would stay again. The only problem I had was I asked for an extension on check out time because we were running late and I got a lot of flak for it. I had to practically beg to extend just to 1200. I frequently stay at resorts in the Orlando area and I have asked other resorts when time was needed and they obliged with 2 p.m. check out times without retort. The front desk head staff woman also seemed stressed and in near panic mode. The person she was supposed to train was standing there and not included and it was obvious she were frustrated about the lack of inclusion.

This was our Family Spring Break vacation. We stayed at the Runaway beach club last year,also. My husband, myself and our 3 daughters stayed. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next vacation there.

Booked an "Antigua" and requested a lake view - was upgraded to a "Curacao". Excellent. We have stayed at several similar properties in Kissimmee, but this is the best and will definitely return. Well equipped and very clean and tidy. Very convenient for both Disney and Universal. Looking forward to a return visit

We thought the room and grounds were beautiful. We were disappointed that there wasn't a restaurant, but especially disappointed that there was no bar - even by the pool area. Also, we never noticed on the website that there was no housekeeping. We called for kleenex one day and was told that they do not provide it. We assumed it was like staying at a regular hotel - but it wasn't. We would stay there again though!

Just returned from our 10 day stay at the Runaway Beach Club Resort. From the moment we stepped into the Reception area we knew we had found a gem! The front desk staff were very welcoming and made our check-in process fast and efficient. The first floor condo we were given was right by the main building and only a few steps away from the pool and other amenities. Every room was airy, spacious and very light. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Although the kitchen counters appeared to be a little dirty when we arrived, this was the only problem we encountered and it was soon resolved with some hot water and detergent. Housekeeping changed our towels and emptied the trash on a daily basis, they will carry out a light clean which you have to request at front desk and for which you will be charged a small fee, we didn’t find it necessary for our short stay though. All the public areas, the pool, the fitness room were always kept extremely clean and all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. We will definitely be returning…..soon we hope.

We really enjoyed our stay overall at this property however one minor detail should be corrected. The sheets on the king bed were too small and hence kept coming uptucked, if one rolled over the other became uncovered. The other thing we didn't like was being charged a daily fee for "light clean" which basically just involved removing our rubbish and replacing towels. This is fair enough but should be built into the price at the start as it is unavoidable anyway, plus the tax should be quite clearly quoted also.

Our stay could not be better. When we arrived we had been upgraded to a larger unit with a loft which was wonderful. Not that we needed all that space but it truly was a home away from home. Unit very well equipped in every way and very tastefully decorated in the Key West style. Would definitely stay here again.

The declared second bed was the couch in the living room. This is absolutely not acceptable as bed. You feel each wire of the mattress. Sleeping was not possible. My objection to this at the front desk was rejected. Due to this fact we will not book anymore a room in this hotel!

I did not get a final bill upon check-out and they said I was all set. I wanted a bill and was advised that I would be charged the quoted price and tax and it is on my charge. I thought a final bill would be reasonable but apparently not.

The only downside is that there is no bar or dining facilities, as yet but they are in progress. The location to the Theme parks is fabulous although the shuttle service could be much better and is some what limited in its destinations.

It was an excellent experience for me and my sons. It is definitely a place we will come back in case we come back to Orlando
