Apartament correcte però té una olor particular. Soroll dels cotxes del carrer, el ventilador és just per soportar la calor. Les escales d'accés són estretes i es fan llargues sobretot si estàs al tercer. S'aparca al carrer (no hem tingut cap incident). A 10min. del centre a peu. En un dia es visita Lucca (torres i esglèsies estan dins el perímetre de la muralla de 4km). És una ciutat força bonica i està a 25min de Pisa i a 1h de Florència. Xavier.

Excellent value for money - great location outside the walls in an area, where you will meet less tourists and more friendly and open-minded italian inhabitants than in the historic center. There are several wonderful shops and places to eat in the street. Our apartment was spacious, very clean, tastefully equipped and comfortable also for longer stays. Make sure to bring an ear-protection, traffic can be disturbing in the morning. We can highly recommend this place.

L'appartamento era davvero carino, arredato bene, ristrutturato di recente, molto accogliente, con dei bei soffitti in legno e mattoni, ingresso indipendente. Siamo stati molto bene e abbiamo trovato la "piccionaia" (questo era il nome dell'appartamentino) molto romantica!

This was a very reasonably priced place, spacious for 2. There was a small balcony to take in the evening sun. The apartment had everything that could be wanted for a short stay, perhaps a little information on place in Lucca would have been helpful. Not much more than a 5 minute walk to the northern gate of Lucca, all very 'do-able' on foot and by bike. The local neighbourhood is fine for shops for food, and there is a highly rated restuarant opposite, unfortunately closed for annual holidays on the evening we arrived!

I highly recommend this property! This apartment was in easy walking distance to Santa Maria Porta. The apartment was spacious and well-equipped. We took a taxi from the train station to the address given us. We were met when promised and taken immediately to the apartment. We had been staying in very small hotel rooms and the apartment seemed a luxury. We were sorry we had only planned one night! Lucca is a gem--try to catch the evening market near Santa Maria Porta, and don't miss renting a bike to ride around the wall!

As we stayed in the top apartment just under the roof, were surprised at just how noisy the pigeons were! Its just a plain pitched roof, no insulation etc, which may be an oversight. Nevertheless we again enjoyed our stay , Nicola and Denise are very welcoming and professional in their dealings.

We arrived later than anticipated, but fortunately the apartment was in the same building as the owners(Nicola) business so he had waited for us. A wonderful touch was a selection of little Italian cakes left on the kitchen table to welcome us. Nicola showed us around the apartment and had good English as had his sister Denise who dealt with the intial e-mail booking. It was on the 2nd floor and was approx 40 square metres. Good spacious living/kitchen area(small balcony off) good sized bedroom and superb bathroom. The apartment has just recently been refurbisbed to a very high standard, beautifully designed and had great furnishings. A TV was provided, and all the kitchen utensils were brand new, the bathroom was excellent with a great shower(not commonly found in Italy!) The owners have a number of apartments in the same building to cater for larger groups too. On the same street there are lots of local shops for all your needs and you are about a five minute walk from the main shopping street, Fillolunga in Lucca town. The location is great for access to Pisa, just 20 mins away and Florence 45 mins,( but better to take the train to Florence due to parking/driving difficulties.) Also you are just 35 mins from the coastal resort of Via Reggio. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this apartment to guests thinking of holidaying in this area, also great value for money!

The apt. was very modern, nice and clean. You have to go up about 2 steep staircases for one set of apts. and up another level for the other two. It could be too much for older people. We were fine. The location is great! Less than one mile from Piazza Santa Maria del Borgo gate of Lucca. The street Borgo Gianotti is filled with stores, small markets, Mailboxes, etc...(internet connection), restaurants, even a very different kind of wine store. No problem about finding parking on the street. Because it is a busy street, there was a bit of noise in the morning which is normal. We did not mind it. You can rent a bicycle at the entrance gate of Lucca. The person in charge was very nice too. We would stay here again.
