The many things were OK & good, but there was marriage ceremony at near Hotel. The laud musics had continued till late night. (This is not the hotel's fault.)

The map is a little unclear on the location, however it is within walking distance from Marina Grande - turn right and begin to walk up the hill. When you are on the first long straight bit of the road it is the red building on the bend, slightly confusingly it has some signs that refer to the Hotel Palatine, but it is the right place. The rooms were very spacious and clean and even had a balcony! Despite being next to the only road to Capri town, it was very quiet. Breakfast was served near the pool in a structure that also doubled up as an excellent restaurant in the evenings (not Mondays) and for our 3 days there we can honestly say it was the bext meal with the best service and the cheapest one we had. Despite other comments on the feedback section we had no problems with paying the bill and acceptance of credit cards and the price quoted matched the price paid.

I would not recommend staying here to anyone who does not speak Italian. There is only one man there who speaks more than 10 words of English, which made certain situations very difficult for us, and ultimately lead to us missing the boat back to Napoli and in turn our flight to Milan. It is normal at least in America for a credit card company to ask a vendor to "call for authorization" from time to time instead of automatically putting a charge through. When this happened at our check out, it was 40 minutes before the man who spoke English (who appears to also be the only one who can process all types of transactions) showed up. By that time, we missed our boat to Napoli and flight to Milan. We tried to leave, but the non English speaking staff said they were going to call the police on us!!! Everything else was difficult if we did not know the Italian word due to the lack of English, however the English speaking tourists were abundant, so it did not make sense. Location was great, room was gorgeous, but the pool was closed the entire time we were there, and it was July, so it was very hot.
