if you don't mind being a little far from the city centre, this is the right place. the room we had was big, the service good, the people of the hotel welcoming and helpful.and it was definetely cheap! a good place.

We were disappointed with the service of the hotel. We called up the hotel to try to arrange for airport transfer. But the staff did not speak much english and told us to get from the airport taxi directly.It costs us 850 instead of the advised cost of 650. Despite booking a double-bed room, we were given a room with two single beds on the attic floor. The towels looked used and the toilet paper was not even changed to a fresh new one. Worse of all, we were kept awake the whole night by the noise made by the falling twigs on the attic. The next morning we immediately asked for a change of rooms and were told that the hotel was fully booked. Its only when we told them that we would have to check out that they told us that there is another spare room. It was also rather inconvenient to get in the hotel as the only way is to ring the bell and wait for the receptionist to open the door for us. There was once we were kept out in the cold, pressing the bell for a good 30 mins (it must be about 5degree celsius!) before the receptionist woke up from his afternoon slumber to open the door for us. We were unsatisfied with the place.

In periferia, ma ben collegato con il centro. Ottima accoglienza e disponibilita' del personale uno dei quali parla italiano. Ambiente modesto ma accogliente, lo consigliamo.

The Pension U Sv Krystofa is exactly as described on the webpage. The staff are friendly and have an adequate command of English. They are always willing to help - we decided to stay in our room one evening for a few beers and they brought a fridge up to our room. Shower was nice - as was the bathroom in general. Breakfast was good with vegan/vegetarian options. Couple of minor disadvantages, though. Firstly our double bed was in fact two singles pushed together. Hardly the end of the world, of course. Secondly, it's a way away from the centre...BUT travel couldn't be easier, so that's not a great problem. Regular buses run from just outside the place to the Metro station, from whence a 15 minute ride into the centre. As the Prague transportation system is so good, this is actually a pleasure. There's a Chinese restaurant just behind the pension, as well as a lake and a sports facility (with cheap canteen). Nearby is the authentically naff Sport Bar Golem Non Stop... Drop in for a frothy half litre of Staropramen and an absinthe chaser. Do it before 10am - just because you can. Overall, I would recommend the Pension U Sv Krystofa to any travellers who like a degree of comfort, but don't expect everything to be put on a plate for them.
