Pension Adamshof - Lichtenberg Berlin

Complaint: We tried to pay with the credit card, but was told that it was out of order. There appeared a recite, but we didn't sign it. So we had to collect the 225€ in the bank, and returned with the cash. We have a signature form that payment from the man in the reception. After returning ti Denmark, we realized that the money was actually withdrawn even so from the credit card. So Adamshof owes us 225€. We have mailed them, without getting a reply.

We arrived to find that there was no one available to check us in and although we had confirmed by telephone that a room would be left open for us they had not done this. We had no room for the first night and had to share with other visitors who took pity on us. The employees couldn't even find our details on their system the following morning but eventually found us a room. They were not at all helpful and tried to get us to pay the full price even though we'd had no room for our first night. Location was fine but nothing else. There was no one around for the breakfast that was supposedly offered every morning and our room had no curtain.

I had booked for 3 days at Pension Adamshof. However when we arrived at the place we quickly decided that it was very much off the beaten track. It was a long way from the S bahn and very inconvieniently located. Also our room smelt of stale smoke and one of our towels looked like it had already been used. When we told the management of our change of plan... that we wanted to stay just one night. We were told we had to pay for the full 3 nights. The management was extremely rude and insistent that we pay.After much arguing we finally settled that I should pay €72.50 for the one night instead of the €50 a night that was advertised. The difference being the money the hotel said they would have to pay Venere in commission. First thing next morning we were happy to leave the place. It was a dreadful experience unlike the rest of our stay in Berlin.

angenehmes quartier. gibt aber in diesem quartier nichts anzuschauen. mit s-bahn ab lichtenberg in wenigen minuten mitten in berlin... gute lage... ruiges quartier. das haus sauber, mit tv, aber sehr ringhörig. vill spass im adamshof

The room was poorly equiped, bad lightening, no mirrors, sheets very worn, no hand towels, no room cleaning during our stay (4 days), corridors very dirty,

A great find in Berlin! The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the S bahn, and from there about 30 minutes into the downtown area. The street was quiet, and the small tree-lined courtyard next to the hotel was pleasant and quiet. There are bakeries, cafes, bars, a supermarket and a bank right down the street. The rooms were spacious, with a sink, TV and closets. There were 2 bathrooms available on each floor (shared by 4 rooms), which were very clean, spacious and had great showers. Even with full occupancy on the floor I never once had to wait to use them. I explored Berlin for a week and this was a great place to call home every night, at a fabulous price.
