Albergo ottimo x qualità prezzo cortesia ubicazione. Lo consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono vedere Firenze e dintorni. Comodo x l'auto e anche il collegamento con il centro di Firenze è garantito dal bus che si prende a pochi passi e porta alla stazione si S.M.Novella.

A very nice place to stay - except for no air condition!!! Breakfast is sparse compared to Scandinavian hotels, but the staff is the most kind I ever experienced. A very good restaurant(with excellent prices) is located within walking distance in San Domenico. The "religious thing" menthioned by others is simply that it is run by a Christian mission.

Sehr schönes Haus von aussen mit schönem Garten etwas ausserhalb der Innenstadt aber mit guter Busverbindung ins Zentrum. Das Zimmer war sehr klein und spiegelt nichts von der schönen Aussenfassade wieder. Es ist alles sauber und funktionell aber eine besondere Atmosphäre darf man nicht erwarten. Wir hatten 3 Fernsehkanäle. Zum Schlafen reichts, dafür waren 99 € schon grenzwertig zumal das Frühstück vom Buffett auch nur die Minimalstandards erfüllt (nichts frisches, Kaffee aus dem Automat etc.)

Basic hotel, was what was needed at the time. As was mentioned in another review the breakfast was very limited. Single coffee making machine was broken for 3 days of stay in hotel which was disappointing. Very close to bus stop which was good for travelling around the area. Walked home from the Duomo a couple of times and it was pleasant enough and not too far

This was a very nice property and in a parklike setting off the road yet easy to access all the sights we had planned for our itinerary. We parked our car at the hotel and used the local bus (the stop was very close by)to go into and back from Florence. The actual location of Villa la Stella seems much closer to Fiesole than Florence. The driving directions could have been a bit clearer. We passed the property and had to turn around only to realize that the tiny sign on the wall was visible going up the hill and that there was no sign coming down the hill to mark the hotel. Our only suggestion would be to be more exact with the driving directions and perhaps a larger sign for the hotel from the street. We had a great time and would return to Villa la Stella in the future.

Excelente hotel, novo, limpo, quarto e banheiro espaçosos, local agradável, tranquilo, amplo estacionamento, fora do tumulto da cidade mas perto do centro histórico (10 min de ônibus - linha 7 - até o "duomo"), boa recepção, bom café da manhã. Sem dúvida, foi o melhor hotel em que ficamos em nossa viagem à Itália. Não teríamos dúvida em nos hospedarmos neste hotal de novo caso voltássemos a Firenze. Excellent hotel, clean, new, large room/ensuite bathroom, good staff, large parking area, out of the chaos of the city center but close enough to it by bus number 7 (10 min to/from Duomo). The very best hotel we stayed during our visit to Italy this year. Would stay there again certainly.

Stayed 2 nights. Excellent if you arrive by car because they have free parking. Bus leaves down at the road every 20 minutes up to 24:00 and has ~12 Minutes to town center. Rooms are OK but walls to neighboring rooms are very thin. Breakfast is standard italian breakfast, which some people rate as "poor". For us it was enough (bread, cereals, coffee, juice, yogurt). All in all we can recommend it.

Stella is a very beautiful property nestled in the Tuscan hills, among some very pricy private residences. It's only a bus ride from downtown Florence (frequency, about every 20-25 minutes), but because the villa's located on a hill, walking for other than short sightseeing jaunts in the immediate neighborhood is difficult. Fiesole, the wonderful hilltop town, is also accessible by the same bus, going the other way; but not by foot. (There are no sidewalks a few kilometers further up the road and auto traffic, though relatively light, can be dangerous.) Florence was its own touristic clutter and between that and the bus adventure, we found ourselves spending more time at Stella than we expected. It's a very beautiful setting with Dante's famed myrtle tree highlighted. Bob spent the morning fending off mosquitos (not terribly bad) to greet the dawn. On the down side, breakfasts are sparse and not the friendly affair one expects in a tourist hotel. There are no restaurants in the immediate area, though down the hill and in Fiesole are some very good ones. The villa is run by a religious order, so alcohol and tobacco, while not prohibited (smoking is not allowed indoors), are not readily available. The staff is helpful but reserved. All in all, we felt as though we were in a monastery (not too far from the truth) and a little remote from Florence per se. Nevertheless, as a rest stop between other destinations, the Stella is a comfortable place to stay. -- Bob and Cherie

Had a great stay although the place was difficult to find. The room was fantastic along with the breakfast and staff. We would definately stay here again.

The building and neighbourhood of this hotel is very nice. The service is not to bad but the breakfast is very poor. Generally the overall stay was a little bit disappointing even for the rather low price.

An air conditioning unit would help. The night we stayed I think there was a group of youngsters staying and they woke the kids up by banging loudly on the doors and shouting.Then the kids played football in the corridor outside our room. I think maybe the staff should have been aware of this although we did not complain ourselves!

Overall, I can recommend this hotel. For the price I paid, I am very satisfied. My notes: + The hotel is located a little bit outside of Florence but it is very easy to go to the city by bus. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and takes you straight to the center. + The staff was very helpful in answering all my questions + Breakfast was excellent - My room was very small compared to other hotels I stayed at - The hotel itself is located at a very quiet location so it should be quiet at night, but some guests (unfortunately, I have to say mostly Americans) were causing noise, often in the middle of the night (banging doors, talking loudly on the hallways etc). The hotel management should try to change this.

Un lugar apacible, rodeado de naturaleza y armonía. Cerca del centro de Florencia. La única pega es que tanto en este como en otros hoteles en Italia no hablan español y se hace difícil la comunicación para poder pedir cualquier tipo de información. Aún así estoy segura de que volvería a repetir.

There are two points to be pointed out: First of all, it is marvelous quiet and calm - in spite of being 12 minutes by bus to the city. But breakfast room coul be a little bit better run..

The Villa takes place in a wonderful quiet surrounding. We had a fantastic view to Florence from our room (Nr. 327) It is easy reachable by bus, but it is important to know to get out at station Via San Domenico 7, because there are several stations Via San Domenico and we didn´t know which one to take. So maybe this could be corrected in the discribtion. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was lovely.
