Stylish hotel in the centre of town but in a quiet square away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic bedroom and bathroom, free wifi & internet, helpful staff. Expensive to park in the nearby garage, but very secure.

The public and private rooms were elegant. The staff was very helpful in making dinner reservations for us during August, when so many restaurants were closed.

This was our seventh trip to Italy. This hotel is one of the top two or three we have stayed at. Excellent in all respects, and location is on lovely Piazza Galileo, which is adjacent to the local court and police station. Obviously safe, but also quiet and lovely. The current prime minister of Italy stays at this hotel when in Bologna.

Quiet, convenient and central

Very centrally located. Rooms comfortable and, although slightly kitchy, still I would say with quite enjoyable design. Price (around 110 euros per night) was apparently quite high for Bologna, but could look like a bargain comparing to some other places in Italy. Will like to stay again (especially, if my company is paying for it:)

Excellent hotel for tourist. Located in the heart of the city near the cathedral and the all the interesting squares, places and churches. You only need a good GPS to get to the hotel with your car, due to the numerous one way streets.

This is a great hotel. Great rooms. Walking distance to most everything. Yet away from the noise. Excellent value for the money.

I would recommend highly Hotel Novecento. Great location in the heart of Bologna. Friendly staff, good breakfast & free internet in basement. The staff recommended a fantastic restaurant, Da Cesari, which is a couple blocks away. Be sure to see Basillica San Luce overlooking the city.

the front desk receptionist Laura is excellent and competent, with a smile. The baggage handler and doorman, Massimo, is always happy to help. The hotel needs a few more employees.

I had a booking confirmation ,more than a month before. Two days before my arriving, the Hotel Art Novecento told me that they had a problem with the room, and that I would stay at the Orologio Hotel . This hotel was very good, except of the fact that there are many steps to reach the lift. The feedback is about the orologio Hotel. The avaiability of the rooms, is about the Art Novecento.(0)

Our stay at the Art Hotel Novecento was a lovely experience. The staff at the front desk were very helpful, and the brochures listing restaurants and places to shop were really handy. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Lovely quiet location, nice room, good bathroom. Airco was very much needed, so that was good. Would come here definitely again.

Hotel room was truly classy and functional, my sort of colours too: modern, but neither Ikea nor soulless. Location for exploring Bologna perfectly adequate. Public areas are small, a bit pathetic, though breakfast was reasonable for Italian standards. The Capuccino for instance was bollente, good and hot. There is no terrace to relax on after sightseeing, so cafes & restaurants around the corner are the only option for that.

Employees very helpful; breakfast excellent; location quite convenient; room of high quality, especially bathroom. We would definitely return, and we'll recommend the hotel to others.

This is a beautiful hotel in Bologna! We spent 2 weeks in Italy and though we only had one night in Bologna it was our favorite hotel! Make sure that everywhere you stay you spend the extra $50 or so to upgrade to a larger room as the rooms in Europe are known to be small. The room was gorgeous and the best we had with a beautiful big marble shower! The ceilings were all beamed and the rooms were truly a find. There is not really a lot to do in Bologna but we enjoyed our best meal here and the best Gelato in the country! Be aware that alot of restaraunts in Italy will bring you the wrong wine! Know what you ordered and if it is wrong tell them so, they usually say that what they brought is better but since we knew a little about wine, it is usually cheap table wine, they do not export the best wines, you can have fabulous inexpensive Cabernets and Syrahs, so don't feel you have to have an overpriced Chianti. Only problem we had was with the staff, though they were welcoming and friendly, they seemed incredibly rushed and busy when it was unecessary and almost like we were a bother. The internet was not working and they just seemed too busy to help us so we went to an internet cafe so as not to upset the staff. Would we stay there again if we were in Bologna? Yes! And we would ask for room 404 again!

This was a very pleasant surprise - quite a discovery. We liked the way the building had been converted; it was beautifully done with impeccable and uniquely Italian style. It was also most pleasing that the comfort was simple and understated. We will definitely return to Hotel Novecento. and have formed a very good impression of the small chain to which it belongs.
