the hotel was nice and clean, bedroom was a good size but the bathroom was tiny. the hotels gardens around the building were very nice and the beautiful white cliffs are a short drive away. the only negative thing i can say is the price of the food & drinks in the restaraunt coz they are way over priced and will make a huge hole in your wallet.

Price is a bit high, but some of that is the exchange rate.

Room very basic & VERY noisy next to A2 - had to had window open as no air conditioning!! Bed was very hard & pillows very basic , so with noise & uncomfortable bed we hardly slept at all!! Meal in restaurant good although waiter 'hovered' too much! ALSO it was not ewasy to find!!

My family and I stayed here the night before we were to catch a ferry to France from Dover. The hotel was exactly as it is advertised on the internet, a 5 minute drive to the Ferry Docks, and the pictures are accurate. The room was spacious, modern, clean and quiet. The breakfast was £10/per adult (kids are free) and was DELICIOUS (which is rare for a hotel breakfast!). They had a hot buffet, cold selection of meats and fruits, breakfast cereals, almost anything you could ask for. In addition, the staff were excellent and extremely helpful. They were great with the kids and it is a very family friendly hotel. This is definitely a great value for money hotel and I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Dover.

The Ramada Dover is a smarter hotel than the normal Travel Inn fare, with a good location for the port. Facilities are good, and it is great for a nights stay, but don't expect any charm, character and the surrounding location is dire - not a hotel for anyone without a car. Staff are polite, but unless you get a good deal this hotel is massively over-priced.

The hotel and facilities were very nice, however my sleep was non existent due to the noise from the outside bar and smoking areas which were in use until 02.00.

Double room which was very spacious and well equipped, the bathroom was however a little cramped. A reduction of ½ metre on the room size added to the bathroom would have made all the difference. The welcome and attention of the reception staff was excellent and although we only had a night stop and did not make use of the dining facilities, we would not hesitate to stay here again, even for a longer stay.

We decided to have breakfast in the Costa Coffee bar in reception. The girl (hotel employee) obviously didn't know how to make a coffee and there was nothing to eat except for pre-wrapped, dry cakes. For two coffees, two hot chocolates and four dry, prewrapped cakes we were charged just under £20. There were no prices displayed so we paid up. Rip off!! We had an excellent meal in the pub on the beach nearby at St Margaret's bay, good selection of wines and wonderful fresh fish. Avoid the Swingate Inn near Dover, terrible food.

We arrived in Dover well past dark so we had difficulty finding the hotel and had to ask for directions. Other than that, the hotel and the hotel stay was fine.

We had a very enjoyable stay, room a little cramped not helped by the presence of large office chair, (Overkill). Finish in bathroom, (Tiling), spoiled an otherwise very pleasant and comfortable environment. We hope to revisit Dover towards year end and will definitely use this hotel.
