The first class hotel City is located in the heart of Villach and is the perfect choice for your stay in this picturesque city at the Drau river, in Carinthia. The property enjoys a central yet quiet location, within a stone's throw of the main railway station and easily reachable from the highway.

This is a very old hotel that has been refurbished in a horrid part of Villach - a square by the rail/bus stations. Parking is difficult and open and we did not feel is safe. The rooms are medium sized but very bare and there is a tiny bathroom with a shower. Brealfast was adequate but we went in at about 8.30 and many of the items had not been replenished (eg no croissants)recognising that value for money is not good in any case in Austria, this was particularly awful. The hotel says it is 4* but we do not feel it even reaches 2*. Wild horses would not get us back there.
