I was in Vienna for a week to work and this hotel was ideal for me because it gave me a separate large study/sitting room, with some kitchen facilities, in addition to a good-sized bedroom. It has an agreebly modern feel and it is extremely quiet despite being located so near the centre that I could walk everywhere I needed to go.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms, particularly for the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff recommended a restaurant only a few hundred feet from the property called "Gmoa" or something similar - which we found to be excellent - went twice during our stay.

It took us a long time to find the hotel when we arrived Vienna at 10 in the late evening. The hotel is far from easy to find. If it could mention that the hotel is just cross the street of Inter-continental, things would be much easier. Once we found the hotel, the stay is quite enjoyable. The hotel people are really nice and helpful. The room is large and very clean. The hotel is close to subway and StadPark. Some downside things: The breakfast is a little bit too simple. We had some leftover internet connection minutes. The reception lady told us those minutes can be used in any other Starlight Suiten Hotel, but it turned out they could not.

Definitely excellent hotel. I could use a quiet and spacious room with air-conditioning. The hotel location is easily accesible to stations of tram, subway and train station (5 min walk to the train station of CRT to Viena international airport). As many referred, the only problem of the hotel is the breakfast that is minimal: an additional cost to have hot meals or cereals are too expensive. Another minor problem is the sign of the entrance. I thought the entrance was for Aikido-dojo! If you want to confirm that the door is really entrance of the hotel, you need find the hotel's sign above your head.

Our 2 room suite was spacious with high ceilings. The modern furnishings were attractive and complemented the older architecture of the building. While there was no restaurant on premises, there was bar service provided by reception. The location was very close to the heart of Vienna

The hotel staff was wonderful. Their overall attitude was that of friendship and knowledge. We were close to everything. The breakfast was very good. Would definately stay there again.

Overall the hotel is very good and the staff were most kind and welcoming. The location is also very good, near the Stadtpark, 2 minutes to a U-bahn station and 3-4 minutes to the Ring and the trams. The only glitch was that we got charged for the additional breakfast (eur 13 per person) even though we did not realize we were using it (just got down in the morning and there was no separate type of breakfast that was supposed to be inclded in the price). So this soured a bit the overall excellent impression.

I've stayed in a few hotels in Vienna and this certainly offers the best value in terms of 'space per euro'. It is only a short walk to the centre of the city and whilst the area isn't stunning, it is where many of the other chains (intercont. hilton etc.) have their hotels. I had a large lounge, a big bathroom and bedroom a 'work' desk and best of all free wireless access throught the hotel. Many others charge for this! The only downside is that the communal areas, whilst being perfectly clean and funtional, are a little sparse, thus if you are the kind of person who likes the feel of a busy hotel lobby, this is not for you. I would echo others comments about the breakfast, stick to bread and juice! Overall an excellent find and I would stay again.

HOTEL LOCATION IS EXCELLENT. THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS SUFFICIENT FOR US. THE ROOM WAS VERY SPACY END CLEAN, A REAL SUITE! WE WILL COME BACK HERE AGAIN WHEN WE'LL GO TO VIENNA. p.s. for dinner we suggest the GMOAKELLER restaurant (Am heumarkt 25)

Wir waren zu sechst in Wien und benötigten 2 Suiten. Die Zimmer waren angemessen groß, absolut sauber und ruhig. Aussicht gibt es keine, da es sich um einen Altbau handelt und die Gebäude rundherum ähnlich hoch sind. Am Empfang haben wir mehrere MitarbeiterInnen erlebt - alle freundlich, nett, sehr service-orientiert und hilfsbereit! Es war sehr angenehm. Am Abreisetag konnten wir unser Gepäck selbstverständlich bis zum (späten) Abflug abstellen. Das Haus liegt zentral, man erreicht die meisten Dinge per pedes, ansonsten fahren Straßen- und S-Bahn in unmittelbarer Nähe. Für die Fahrt vom Flughafen muss man übrigens nicht unbedingt den CityAirportTrain (CAT) nehmen (der recht teuer ist), sondern kann auch mit der "normalen" S-Bahn in knapp 30 Minuten zum Hotel kommen. Eine Tageskarte für ganz Wien kostet 5 Euro. Fazit unserer Reise: STARLIGHT SUITEN und natürlich auch WIEN - ABSOLUT EMPFEHLENSWERT!!!

We had a large suite which was good value for money. Staff were excellent: friendly, helpful and cheerful. Included breakfast was sparse and paying extra didn't result in much more. No onsite parking - across street in Intercontinental car park. Good location, could walk to many atractions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Very nice rooms with a lot of space. Nice place in general, very friendly staff. The only thing I can put my finger on would be the breakfast, where the "normal" breakfast is not included in the roomprice. If you want anything else than bread and marmelade you have to pay.. This is in my experience a politic that far cheaper hotels are using, and it surprised me to find it in a hotel on this level. I dont know if this procedure is normal in Vienna though.. But again, very nice and big rooms.

Excelent location, very close to the Ring and all the monuments, there is no need of car, or even the public transport, if you like walking a bit. Good new premises that you no imagine behind the old style facade. Rooms to a minor street behind are very quite.

Un albergo che consiglio. Ci siamo stati a metà agosto e il prezzo era di 120 Euro a notte per una doppia. L'unica cosa di cui mi sono lamentato è che all'atto della prenotazione, oltre un mese prima, avevo richiesto una culla per un neonato (segnalata tra le opzioni disponibili) e mi hanno confermato via e-mail che ci sarebbe stata, e invece all'arrivo non c'era. Quando ho chiesto spiegazioni mi hanno detto che le culle "sono finite". La receptionist non è stata molto cordiale in quel caso. Della serie "non ci sono e basta". Poco professionale. Ho dovuto creare un lettino con delle sponde smontando divani e rispettivi braccioli. Faccio notare che la stazione della metropolitana più vicina NON è Wien-Mitte, come segnalato nel sito, ma Stadtpark (linea 4).

We had a very pleasant stay, everything was as expected except the breakfast. We had to pay € 12.5 per person for the buffet breakfast, only continental breakfast (bread, butter and jam) was included.

El hotel esta situado en un lugar muy tranquilo de la ciudad y cerca de otros buenos hoteles. El metro está a pocos metros y muy cerca del centro de la ciudad para ir andando. El desayuno incluido en el precio, es desayuno continental y la habitaciones son muy espaciosas y limpias.

Sono stato in questo Hotel insieme alla mia dolce compagna e appena arrivati ci siamo meravigliati di questa splendida struttura... quando poi siamo entrati in stanza anzi nella suite per poco non svenivamo...il tutto ad un prezzo clamorosamente basso ...la posizione è ottima a 5 minuti a piedi da stephenPlatz e a 100 metri dalla metropolitana proprio sul parco di stadtpark la consiglio vivamente a tutti quelli che dovessero pernottare a Vienna

They switched us to another Starlight property in Vienna. It was very nice, but not really in the area we had planned to stay. It worked out fine. The hotel staff were very gracious and apologetic. We really enjoyed our stay at the other hotel, and were able to park on the street directly in front of the hotel, which was a big plus for us. The rooms were great, and we enjoyed the continental breakfast the next morning.

Staff all efficient and friendly. Room spacious, clean and quiet, and hotel itself conveniently located very near the tube station and the Statspark and only a minute from the Inter-continental. About four minutes walk to Konzerthaus, six minutes to Musikverein and ten to Staatsoper, an ideal location for music lovers. They changed my room from the claustrophobic second floor room to the room with a view on third floor on my request the day after I arrived. Very considerate and kind. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and pay exactly the same amount mentioned in Venere.com. I recommend it highly to everyone visiting Vienna for the same purposes as mine.

Very nice hotel, nearby the city centre of Wien. Average continental breakfast. For the buffet breakfast one must pay an extra fee. Excellent suite with two TV's, microwave, excellent and large bathroom. Very competent employees. Wireless internet available (have to pay). Excellent choice.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff were extremely competent and courteous when helping us arrange tours and giving us directions or restaurant recommendations. Additionally, the hotel is located very close to a market, a subway stop and is not far from the city center. Upon returning to Vienna, I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We had a very good experience with this hotel. The welcoming, customer service and attention and professionalism of the staff at the reception and everywhere was excellent - above average. The location is very good. Just a few steps from a metro station, walking distance (20 minutes) from the main shopping and attraction areas, side-by-side with the big Intercontinental hotel and the passive park, and very convenient with other needs. The staff can help you in booking events, with maps and restaurants, side trips, etc. The personnel was extremely helpful. Room was class one, clean, large and modern. Breakfast and public areas excellent too. Valet parking and parking garage close by. Definetely will stay here again. Very safe place too and easy to find.

The room was quite spacious or even more than needed. Hotel is just on the boundary of so called "inner city". Almost everywhere you'd like to see in Vienna is at walking distance. I and my wife enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much. The only tricky thing about this hotel was about breakfast. They say breakfast is included and so it is. However, this is so called continental type which includes one bread or croissant, butter and marmelades. For anything you take for extra, it is counted a normal breakfast, and you have to pay 12,50. To prevent any confusion, it is better if you make up your mind on what you will get before you get your breakfast. Unless, you may find yourself paying 12,50 for only one piece of cheese during your check-out.

It was a very nice hotel. Much more than I expected from the description. It is situated 10 min walk from downtown. The surroundings are not very beautiful, just a big street but OK. Two big rooms,a nice breakfast and very nice staff. really worth trying!

Excellent location, great room(suite) for tne price, I strongly recommend this hotel. A small breakfast was included, and this was a little confusing, since there was a buffet, and you were only allow to eat bread and coffee from a big selection.

For me this hotel was a positive surprise. From the presentation in the internet I expected something worse. I liked most the friendliness of the staff at the reception and the very good continental breakfast - the best hand made rolls ("Handsemmeln") I have ever had in a hotel. I did not like the design and decoration of the room (e.g. the colour of the courtains). A few tasteful changes could improve the room a lot.

Hotel rooms and service is excellent, also the location. Only one problem: They have two types of breakfast and they tell you about this when you leave! The 'small' breakfast is included in the price and the 'buffet' breakfast cost 12€ and it is hard to differentiate what you have as there is no sign or other hint what belongs to what breakfast.

The picture of the room shown on the internet is somewhat misleading. Actually the room consits of a living room area with a desk and a bedroom (plus of course a bathroom - without a bathtub though). If You like breakfast (like I do), You will have to pay extra. The normal breakfast is kind of pittyful compared to the 'large' breakfast, which is great and worth every cent. The surroundings are not very spectactular. There is a park close to the hotel, but not a very enjoyable one in winter (looked more like a construction site, like all parks we've seen in Vienna). The hotel is located at a very busy street, so the otherwise quiet room became quite noisy as soon as we opened the windows. (Might be good to ask for a room that does not face the street if You stay there.) Anyway, the hotel is close to the center of the city, has a train-station near by, and we certainly enjoyed our stay.

I'm very happy with my stay. The room and facilities, as well as the service of staff are hard to fault. I also found the suite to be good valy for money and would have no problems recommending your hotel to colleagues or other visiting Vienna.

Excellent location - 5 minutes walk to the very centre of Vienna - excellent and very spacy appartment, very nice and competent staff. Not cheap in absolute figures, but really inexpensive as compared to other locations nearby.

The price for this hotel was more than fair. It is centerally located. An easy walk to sites and close to U Baun Sta. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
