The hotel was great! I asked for the canal view and it was lovelly. To arrive to the hotel you must take the Vaporeto and get down at Palanca-Giudecca Station, with the water at your back you must walk left, pass the Piccolo Ponte and take the first and narrowest aile to your right, you will walk approximately 1 block and you will be there.

Getting to the hotel was a bit difficult, but only because we were not familiar with where to park and where to board a motorboat private taxi (with all our luggage) when we arrived well after dark. Arriving, though, was great as we stepped onto a very clean and neat platform porch leading into the hotel directly from our boat-no need to carry our luggage anywhere. Very knowledgable staff at the desk at all times. We LOVED being able to buy tickets at the desk to hear Vivaldi's Four Seasons played live at a wonderful church in Venice proper. Guideppa is a wonderful, quiet residential island kiddie-corner across from San Marco Sqaure, only a 5-10 minute boat ride away, so we couldn't ask for a better location. Very safe as we walked to and from the boat launch from our hotel. Hotel itself very, very clean...no odors or mustiness AT ALL even though the canal water lapped up onto the bottom step of the entry! I would go back. Good value for the money considering it was Venice, but overall still expensive. Free internet access in the lobby was no hassle. Breakfast (continental) was very, very nice in a wonderfully bright breakfast room. Our only complaint was that it would have been nice to have a larger lobby, and to be able to order SOMETHING to eat somewhere close when we arrived late at night. In the end we just had to eat snack food for a later night (8 PM) dinner

The rooms were recently refurbished, they are pretty big, clean and cosy. The only thing that I didn´t like was that they didn´t have internet in the lobby for quick use. It is 10 minutes away from the main island of Venice and each vaporetto costs 6 euro so the money you save in the hotel is spent in transportation. Nevertheless it is very comfortable

HOW TO REACH THE HOTEL

By car
Venice is easily accessed by a number of highways. Parking is possible in Piazzale Roma. From Piazzale Roma or the train station take vaporetto nr. 82, departing every 10 minutes towards Giudecca. After approximately 25 minutes you reach the Giudecca island. Get off at Giudecca Palanca station. Take the street along the canal, cross the Ponte Piccolo bridge and take the first alley on the right, after the barber. After 50 metres you see the entrance of the hotel.

By train
From the Santa Lucia railway station follow the above-mentioned indications.

By airplane
A hydrofoil ride or private transfer from Venice's Marco Polo airport will take around 30 minutes. A bus departs every 30 minutes to Piazzale Roma. Guests can also take the Alilaguna public service, that arrives in 90 minutes at San Marco.

Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. You cannot cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a non refundable or prepaid rate.

Check-in: the rooms are available at anytime after 6 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 10 a.m.
