The hotel is, as others have commented, a hotel from the communist time. It is however clean and fairly well maintained, and adequate value for money for the small but adequate rooms. (but certainly NOT to be regarded as cheap) There is no included bicycle hire as stated on the web site and booking confirmation, which totally trashed our idea to look around the area. The hotel staff were useless in trying to solve this problem, and the hotel manager absent and disinterested(via phone). The web side was not updated on this point 5 months later despite our complaints. The hotel is approx. 2Km walk around the harbour, there are no taxis visible or buses available (maybe a water taxi in the peak season, not in early June when we were there.). Try doing this with large heavy bags on a hot day as we did... The local restaurants are expensive (for what they serve), poor quality with little choice, typical tourist type generic food (mostly italian style) but badly made. The expression "jumping on the bandwagon" springs to mind... Vela Luka itself is quite a long bus journey from the other end of the island, and is the least scenic of the 2 towns on this island although, like most croatian islands, the coastline is very beautiful.

Communist era hotel. Perfect location on the harbor. Balcony overlooking the sea. Walk to town or swimming coves. Great breakfast buffet included and reasonable lunch and dinner prices. Live music every night which echos through the seaside rooms until 10:30pm

I pasti, oggettivamente, erano terribili! Si mangia malissimo e le quantità sono minime! Non consigliate la mezza pensione perchè non ne vale la pena! Ci si resta davvero male! Il servizio di pulizia è scadente!! Fate presente poi che per raggiungere l'altra sponda del mare, dove si apre poi il paesino vero e proprio, c'è un servizio a pagamento (che andrebbe secondo noi quanto meno risparmiato all'ospite dell'albergo), perchè altrimenti i villeggianti si vedono avviliti, in quanto si, è una passeggiata quella che porta al paese, ma non sempre si ha voglia di farla! Oltretutto, l'alternativa a restare in albergo...non cè! Animazione zero! Grazie.

my reservation was for a room with sea view balcon. I had a room without view on sea neither balcon but very noisy and I had to pay the strong price . It' s no correct. I am very unhappy. Cet hotel est à éviter absolument
