The chateau is about 25 minutes from the city of Tours which is about a 35 euro cab ride. Unless you have a car, you are stuck at the chateau. It is very peaceful and quiet, the front desk staff was very nice and spoke English. The restaurant is small, but serves classic French cuisine. It is very expensive and we only ate dinner there once. The breakfast buffet is ok, but also expensive - about 23 Euros per person. We were fortunate to get a cab back into Tours one day and had a great driver named Christophe Abello - - HIGHLY RECOMMEND him! He does tours around the area and we hired him for the day. He speaks english and was very entertaining. He took us to 2 chateaux in Amboise and to Leonardo Da Vinci's house, and then dropped us off in Tours for a while to shop and eat and showed us where a market was so we could get some food and take it back to the hotel. I can't stress enough how much we enjoyed him! The front desk people know him quite well, and he knows everyone in the Loire Valley.

The "superior" room offered at EUR 230 had no "superior" qualities about it. The bed was limp, bathroom was small, the furniture was old and stained. The room was hideously small and uncomfortable for the "superiorness" it offered, especially with hits sweeping view of the driveway. I tried to point out that the room was nothing compared to the pictures posted on the website - the response was a "on doit faire avec" shrug.
A bottle of champagne was charged to our room at 5 Euros more than what was listed in their menu at the bar. We paid the higher price, because at that point, we just wanted to leave.

The breakfast buffet were very good.
On Friday there was a special Jazz evening (at an extra cost) and a gourmet dinner on offer at 60 euros. Two parties arrived by helicopter for the occasion. We had the alternative Friday evening meal at 35 Euros which was very good but somewhat pretentious with special advance extras before the starter. The staff were very superior in attitude.
Other evenings we had supper in Langeais which had a good choice of restaurants.
Lovely surroundings to the hotel, comfortable rooms but the bathwater kept running cold.
The hotel kindly forwarded some medication I had left behind to our next hotel.

Place is excellent. Hovever attitude is not so. For example, you are not signing bill in the restaurant and final amount you can see only when you are paying, so try to remember what was 5,6 days before. Also on the reservation was unclear is price with breakfirst or not (answer on the reception was NO of course).Futherer on, it was stated that pool is with heated air for all the year. But when you are asking is it working answer is only on summer.
Pitty place is excellent, my idea was to recomend strongly, but due to the mentioned I simply can not.

The hotel and room were very nice. The grounds are beautiful with walking/running/biking paths. We were there off season and thought the atmosphere of the hotel and resteraunt was kind of quiet and "stuffy".

A fabulous chateau hotel with dreamy surroundings which brought
us back in the midieval period. Friendly staff had welcoming and
cordial manners. However, only one thing I have to say is about
their dining.
The cuisine looked great, however it could improve more and more in taste.
I'd refer to their simple stake that I ordered by roomservice was so nice. Simple is the best.

While the Domaine de Beauvois was a lovely getaway for 2 nights, I would not be comfortable staying there much longer. The service, while excellent was sparse. There seemed to be only about 4-5 folks working the whole facility and they had to do everything from bring you drinks at the pool, to working in the parlour bar, to serving dinner and bringing room service. They were spread VERY thinly. On the other hand, I had one of the most amazing meals I've ever had by going with the Menu Gourmand that the chef prepared for me and my partner. When you start off with frois gras laced with chocolate, how can you go wrong! We also went horse-back riding a few KM from the property and that was amazing as well. Oh - make sure if you do decide to stay here that you know the pool is about 100 Meters from the property with limited service, and the first-floor rooms smell like a musty old castle. We were grateful our rooms were on the 2nd floor. All in all, a very charming place, but overpriced given the understaffed nature of the place. But don't get me wrong, the staff were all great, just overworked!
