Hotel Condor was our home for seven days in Taormina. The complementary breakfast was wonderful and the family who owned the hotel was warm, friendly and so very caring. Our stay in Sicily would not have been the same had we not stayed at this hotel. By the time we left we had made good friends and would not stay anywhere else when we return to Sicily. This hotel and its staff embody the essence of Sicilian heart and soul.

Had a very nice 2 days at the Condor. The staff could not be more helpful or friendly. They are delightful.
Views are good but I suspect that there are better in Taormina. Our bathroom was a bit tired.
Main problem was directions which were not terribly helpful which led to us driving down quite an important pedestrian only street in Taormina ! "Follow signs to centre of town" is not very helpful. Your maps are also a little rudimentary.

Small family hotel. All staff very welcoming and helpful. Excellent service. Fantastic views from room and public areas. Found the whole experience very warm, relaxing and value for money. Would not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Condor, Taormina, Sicily, again!!

Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean, but try not to get a room underneath the staircase as it tends to get noisy. Read reviews about barking dogs, but you would have heard them anywhere you stayed on the mountain side. Large bathroom, small shower stall! Good location, convenient to town & sights.

Our stay at the Condor was only for one night, but the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms, though not beautifully decorated by any means, were clean and the views of the ocean lovely. The breakfast area (indoor because it was rainy during our stay unfortunately)was very nice and the food adequate. The parking was a little bit of a walk, but not bad. We were within walking distance of the main shopping areas. The bathroom for our room was very cramped, but the one for our teenage sons was much less so. Again, the staff was very helpful and friendly. There is not lift, but that wasn't an issue for us.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! the setting was wonderful and so close to the center of Taormina. The views were nice. the only negative about the place is the neighborhood dogs. around the block there is a dog that barks all night long and consequently gets all the other dogs in the neighborhood going. Around 5am a rooster chimes in. I cannot complain about the hotel or its setting one bit, but i'd like to neuter the owner of that dog!

Warm friendly family run hotel, very helpful, polite and accomdating.
Clean reasonably comfortable bedroom, but compact. plenty of cupboard space, Clean moderate en-suite.
Pleasant roof terrace, though we could,nt see Etna the outlook was ok. Quite but narrow street (all Taormina is narrow streets) Good breakfast available with varied breads, crackers, ham (not so good for us veggies) cheese, jams etc.
Overall pretty much as expected from previous feedback info. Extra cost of 'safe' parking is a niggle, more so for longer stays, but te welcoming style makes up for any other shortcomings.
Taormina has some wonderful scenary if you feel like a little exercise, climp to the Saracens fort for some stunning night views or sunrises, keep climbing for the village perched on the next peak, to overlook the fort and bay, and back across to Etna. Very touristy, try out of season, good for 2/3 days.

Our experience at the Condor Taormina was excellent. Service was wonderful. The quality of the hotel for the price we paid was great. The staff was very helpful, and I would return to the Condor again. The only issue I had was the dogs in the neighborhood barking, which the hotel had no control over. The location of the hotel was perfect, and all Taormina shopping and resturants were a short walk away.

The hotel is located 5 min walk from the town center and cable car. The staff is very friendly and gave us all the needed information when we arrived. It is recommended to use the private parking, althouhg it costs 10 EUR per night. Note that the shower and bathroom are very very small and the floor gets very wet (but it dries during the night). Overall it was a nice and convenient place to stay for 2 nights.

Okay, I spent much time looking up and comparing hotels through this site. I have been to Italy 4 times, and just returned, having stayed here at Hotel Condor. I will tell you this very important finding: Hotel Condor is the best hotel my wife and I stayed at in Italy! Marcello the host was very cordial, the rest of the staff was friendly and informative.
The location was perfect, away from the crowds, and fun to walk anywhere. It was a healthy and short distance to the tram which takes you to street level where you can walk down the many steps to the beach. For the value, Hotel Condor is PERFECT, so don't waste any more time, and book a room right now. In fact the temperatures around this time of year are swimmingly perfect. Grab your girl, put on your walking shoes, and passagere your way along the beautiful town center.

A great place to stay at a great price. Breakfasts on this hotel's rooftop terrace overlooking the sea are some of our nicest memories from 10 days in Italy. Far enough from the town center to be very quiet but an easy walk to the cable car and Corso Umberto. Would stay again if we're ever lucky enough to get back to Taormina.

The hotel was nice with terrace with a beautiful view in which breakfast was served. The room itself was quite small, the bathroom very small. The main concern about my stay was the airconditioning. In the middle of both nights of my stay the A/C went off and the room became a sweltering inferno and I had trouble sleeping. During the later morning the first night the A/C wen back on. The next day I had had enough and asked an employee to take a look at it and he had to wiggle the cords to the A/C to get it to work again. Other than that my stay was good. The location is great, very close to the main drag "Corso Umberto I". Another thing, they tack on 10 Euros for parking per night.

very nice area of town, despite the building works/noisy dogs in the mornings. very friendly staff always willing to help. some spoke alot of english others less, but always enough to get by as with most places in taormina. the breakfast was just right for us (rolls, jam, coffee, croissants etc) great location for etna market with good affordable food and wine. the bathrooms were very clean and with good showers. our room had a balcony that looked over the valley/sea, which i think several others had too. the lift is very slow, but we managed walking up the stairs fine despite being on the lowest floor. local restaurants were all to our liking, tiramisu was very nice and not too touristy, and for very good value and tasty pizzas the on near the arch (opposite Parisi, the prada selling shop) was perfect, but we forgot the name! also recommend the local beach that can be walked to or reached by cable car that has lots of good fish to snorkle with

The hotel was well-located. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We found our room a bit small and thought it could have been better decorated, however the rooftop terrace where breakfast was served was superb.

Condor is a great price for Taormina. The breakfast was wonderful on the terrace with a great view. Also great view from our balcony over part of Taormina. Staff quite helpful. The place is 5 minute walk to the Corso Umberto but a long walk uphill from where the bus lets you off. So for anyone not in shape, take a taxi to the hotel from the bus dropoff. Take the bus from the train station however rather than the 25 euro cab fare. Buses run every half hour or so. Loved the Condor for the price. They do have internet access at the hotel and were nice enough to give us breakfast earlier than usual so we could be the early bus for the train.

What a great deal - a charming hotel, good location, and a terrific staff. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the sea for the most reasonable price. The staff made all arrangements for our trip up Mt. Etna, and took care of our car (we were a bit too frazzled by the traffic to park it ourselves.) I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel room was large, clean and spacious. The breakfast was good, the staffs were all polite and helpful. There is dog barking at night but...
Although we had some trouble finding the hotel and reaching it on foot with lugguages in tow, we ended up staying one more day.
We will definitely return should we be in Taormina again. Every one in the hotel was friendly and nice.

This is a relatively inexpensive hotel in an expensive
place. Accordingly, the level of services is lower than at a different location at this price. In general I was satisfied with everything except two things: 1. the breakfast is just enough to start the day. They should offer one or two more pieces of bread, then it will be OK. 2. It rained twice during our stay and there was a periodic noise during the night. There must be something that, when fills up by rain, gets instable and poors out the water.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It appeared to be 2 generations of a family. We were one of two guests (off season) and we could hear the family next door. Also, the town, and the next door neighbor have several dogs and they barked day and night. There was nothing the hotel could do about this. The breakfast room and patio have a wonderful vista and the food was fine. When asked about restaurants, the staff had several suggestions, but were unaware that every restaurant they suggested, as well as all the others we found were closed on Wednesday evening.

Very helpful and charming desk clerk. She gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, checked the railway timetables for us, and made reservations for the tour to Agrigento. Best estaurant was Tiramisu, but others were very good too. We met a young English couple, and a couple of Australian ladies, all enjoyed sharing their travel experiences and plans. . The breakfast room on the roof was great, with a superb view over the bay and the town(and the dogs next door!)

The family were so welcoming and helpful. They went to no end of trouble to make sure we were comfortable and happy. It was out of the centre but not too far to go to be in the middle of things. I would definitely recommend it for comfort and quality at a reasonable rate

We throughly enjoyed this hotel. All of the hotel staff were very nice and extremely helpful with anything we needed. The breakfast(included in the price)was lovely, served outside so that you could start your day with beautiful views. We had a private balcony which gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is, as everyone has said, very nice, and the staff was friendly. However, considering parking is charged at an extra €10/day, this meant we ended up paying €96 for a double room + unguarded parking space, which I couldn't help feeling was rather a lot for what it was. Our room looked out over a construction site and wasn't particularly spacious. The bathroom was fine, although the shower is minute! The breakfast was very nice, and is provided on the rooftop terrace which has splendid views. If it wasn't for the extra charge for the parking, I would have been very pleased with this hotel but, for us, that made it just that bit too expensive for what is was (especially considering we chose the hotel because it had a parking, not knowing you had to pay extra for it).

Everyone of the people at Condor were extremely helpful and everything worked! So glad because I was trying to decide between booking Condor and Astoria and when I saw the location of Astoria (across from the bus station) and was delighted that Condor was in a SUPERB location. Customer service was exceptional.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel I would fully recommend it as it is exactly what you need, its right near the centre of the town. There are some lovely restaurants around the corner. The room is perfect, although it was a little noisy at times from the dogs howling and some small amounts of construction work taken place. We went back to the same hotel the following week after doing our travelling around the island so that speaks for itself I think. We also had a lovely meal on the terrace that was cooked to perfection by one member of the family. To sum it up i could'nt of asked for a better place to stay great value for money all around.

Hotel Condor is well located away from the busy end of town but still within walking distance of anywhere you might wish to go. Continental Breakfast was excellent, served by welcoming staff. Rooms have thin walls so pack some earplugs! There are a lot of stairs (as you would expect in Taormina) but there is a lift, except for getting up to the terrace for breakfast. A taxi from the railway station costs ~15Euros.

The hotel is in a walking distance from the center and the main street. The staff was very friendly and english speaking. And also as we had a rented car- it was great that the hotel had their own parking place ca 100m from the hotel.
Evereything was great- the location, the staff, the breathtaking view from the terrace where we had breakfast. But the size of the room and bathroom! They were really small. You could hardly find your way round the bed and bathroom was like a closet.
But anyway it's a good place to stay while visiting Taormina.

We were disappointed with this hotel. Rooms were very small, and finding the hotel was stressful. We would have liked and expected more for our money. Service was OK, nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about, either. We would definitely go back to Taurmina, but would not stay at this hotel.
