The hotel proved a bright spot despite October rains and cool weather. With breathtaking views and an accommodating and friendly staff, you are sure to enjoy a stay here. The walkway that cuts through the switchback makes a stroll into town easier. Don't miss the public Giardini on your way up.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Beautiful old building with magnificent views. Room was spacious and clean, with good bathroom. Each room (I think) has a small terrace with table and chairs and incredible view. Very quiet location but only a short stroll to the centre of Taormina. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts great. Will most definitely be staying here again.

Hotel is as advertised and a short walk (although steep) to the main street of Taormina. The grounds and views are beautiful, staff helpful and friendly. They did not have enough doubles when we reserved and gave us a quad which was actually a room and a loft. Since it was a bit crowded for 4 I can't be exactly objective about the size of rooms. One day I did not feel well and a staff member was very solicitous, offering me a beverage and making sure our room was made up right away so I could lie down. We would stay here again if we are back in the area.Breakfast was ample and served in lovely porch overlooking the garden.

Great hotel to visit Taormina. It's very important that it has parking! Only inconvenience is that to go to downtown, you need to climb a steep road. Do NOT stay here if you have any walking problems, you will need to climb the road everytime you go to Taormina, and it is not that easy. Also, NOT good if you have babys or very young kids. For the rest, a great choice. We spent three nights at this hotel as part of our honey-moon and we loved it! Good breakfast.

This hotel is loaded with that faded old world charm. We had a fantastic room (no 23) which shared a large panoramic terrace with rooms 22 & 24. Room was cool, spacious & simply furnished. Loved the little window in the bathroom with a seaview. Great shower - not a hand held! A rare treat in Italy. All that said, we are not sure if many of the reception staff really enjoy the hospitality industry? Sebastian who worked at breakfast compensated as he was entirely accomodating & cheery. Bit of an uphill walk to the town centre which helps compensate for all the lovely food in Taormina! We would stay again. Who knows, reception might get to like us!

great view from our outdoor balcony, our breakfast would be served on our own outdoor table. at night we would sit with a bottle of wine and look at across the ocean. very romantic. our room had a upstairs lounge room which i ended up using to sleep after a few days because the bed was so hard. warning- the bed heads arent attached to the bed so you hear a lot of banging from the rooms. the shower was disapointing because the hose had a bend in it and would only work as a handheld, which was hard when washing hair. if replaced bathroom was great had a bath which was rare in our travels in italy. lots of stairs to climb while in the area so it keeps you fit. if you go to mt etna, take gloves it is freezing! hotel has great views and is very relaxing, would stay again.

Bel Soggiorno is a very charming hotel placed in a excellent position surrounded by a beautiful garden. You can enjoy the breakfast on a terrace with sea view. The panorama is terrific. To go to Taormina you have to walk 5-10 minutes. There's just a problem: the hotel is an old building and it can be quite noisy in the morning. The noise of the road is also a bit disturbing, but this is a problem in all Taormina and not of Bel Soggiorno only. We had pleasent time (5 days) at Bel Soggiorno and we can suggest it specially for couples.

great place, great views of the sea and etna, lovely people. you have to walk up the hill to the center of taormina. it's about 15-20 minutes uphill. not a bad walk for the exercise. you could always park in the parking garage in the center if you don't want to walk. ask for a room with a terrace,

Our stay in Bel Soggiorno was quite simply superb. The room (no.18) was excellent with views across the bay and Etna clearly visible. Breakfast on the terrace, in the sunshine, overlooking the bay was a joy. Best if you can speak a little Italian (or French!) but you can get by if not (as we did). Highly recommended.

This is in a perfect location between town and the beach. It is about a 10 min walk into town and a 15 min walk down the stairs to the Isola Bella beach. Each room has its own terrace with a great view of the ocean and the hotels garden. If you want the best room request Number 24, it has the largest terrace. All the double rooms are the same price. Do not take a large car here. The parking is a little tight.

Is a 10 minute walk to Taormina, which is a lovely town and so was a great holiday. The hotel is on main road but is still very quiet. My only fault is that it is 20 minutes walk to the cable car (to sea-shore), and the hotel itself has no pool. So if you want to go swimming or laze around sunbathing, its a problem.

Good value for a 3-star hotel. The best feature is the view. Dramatic, panoramic views of the ocean from your balcony. We have 2 children and our room had a double bed plus 2 single beds for the kids which worked out well. Walk to town was about 10 minutes and manageable- even with the kids. Breakfast is great, with a great view of the sunrising over the ocean in the morning. No restaurant, which would have been nice. But there is a wide selection of restaurants within walking distance. We live in Italy and have travaled extensively- I would stay here again.

We spent two weeks in Sicily at four different locations,
and Bel Soggiorno was our favorite. The view was incredible,
the room very comfortable, the bathroom was huge and the
shower had plenty of hot water (a simple pleasure we learned
to appreciate in Sicily). Breakfast was a perfect start to each
day. The hotel is beautfully decorated. Most of all, Sebastiano
was a great host, meeting all of our needs in a friendly and
easy-going manner. We hope to stay there again!

This is one of the hotels I like the most. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I was shocked by its beauty the moment I got there, although I had seen the hotel photos from web. The staff was wonderful. They were so nice and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends who will go to Taromina in the future.

Our room was very good except for the shower. The drain plug was not working properly. The LOUD music from a hotel below us was playing music to two or three am in the morning! Did truly enjoyed are visit.
