| Capital of Alsace, Strasburg enjoys a unique quality of life and offers visitors a rich architectural heritage, tradition for hospitality, fascinating museums and pleasant strolls. The hotel is situated in the most picturesque and peaceful area of the Old Town. Previously the fishers, millers and tanners district, the Petite France is a haven of peace featuring a succession of half-timbered houses. Dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, these houses are characterized by vast interior courts, large sloped roofs, and open attics. |

We actually booked in 2 days earlier than anticipated and only a junior suite was available at 85Euro more per night which was fine. Lovely spacious room with nice view, and when the 2 nights were over, they allowed us to stay in it at the double room rate. Position absolute brilliant, right in Old Town which is sensational, particularly with Christmas markets and lights. Would have liked tea making facilities in room, but tea and coffee came free anyway, but didn't know this as no details were given regarding this. Beautiful hotel and lovely helpful staff. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Good hotel, excellent location. Problems with finding the place using an autonavigator due to rather complicated route needed to find the right way with a car. Nevertheless an excellent location in the middle of the "Petite France" area.
The only minus -as far as service goes- is that the hotel restaurant did not find us a table for dinner ("full", although there were completely empty tables without tableclothes etc. that could have been prepared in a minute). Well- their financial loss...

We have rated the hotel as excellent in all categories, and it was. Our room, the staff, the area -- all outstanding. Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was especially helpful, well-trained & knowledgeable. All in all, a delightful stay.

This was a real find. Very contemporary and extremely comfortable and the location could not have been beaten. Rooms were surprisingly large for a European hotel and it made a very special couple of days in a beautiful city even more enjoyable. We couldn't rate the Régent more highly. The only small criticisms were 1) that the front/parking was a little difficult to locate and 2) that on the welcome letter, they'd assumed I was married and travelling with my wife!

Nothing more could have been done to make my stay in Strasbourg in this hotel more enjoyable.
The hotel is superbly located in the old half timbered Petite France district of Strasbourg overlooking the canals and the picturesque Maison de Tanneurs restaurant on one side and the ponts couverts and the excellent Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art on the other.
The room was spacious and, together with the ensuite bathroom, immaculately presented. The hotel has an excellent restaurant but if you want to dine on the terrace make sure you book a table as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment. If the restaurant is fully booked you can, nonetheless, order dishes in your room during normal restaurant opening hours together with a full room service menu 24 hours a day outside those hours. The enormous choucroute strasbourgeoise is highly recommended.
Although the hotel is situated in the Petite France district, the whole of this civilised city (including the magnificent gothic cathedral with its remarkable glass, excellent organ and astronomical clock) can be reached within about ten minutes or so on foot. If, however, you wish to venture up to the modern wonders of the European palace or the leafy splendour of the Orangerie either be prepared for a half hour walk or take one of the excellent trams directly to the European Parliament.
Strasbourg is a city that encapsulates all that is civilised and European, both mediaeval and modern. If you visit the city there is nowhere better to stay than the Regent Petite France which comprises exactly the same characteristics - an old mill, completely refurbished inside to exacting standards with a thoroughly civilised European welcome and standards of service. I long to go back.
