Overall decent, room had not been updated in a while but overall was clean and pleasant. Location is very central, seconds from Place Kleber, the supermarket (Monoprix), and less than 5 minutes from the Cathedral. Bathroom had a few fixtures I was unfamiliar with:) Very helpful & friendly staff, otherwise it didn't stand out in any way but was not bad for the price and had no complaints.

Very good overall stay. There were some minor issues tough: bathtub joints need to be refreshed and the view could be improved.
The room were we stayed in was rated "Prestige" and as such we were expecting a perfect service.
Parking is exensive: expect 20Eur / day at least.
The breakfast / restaurant room is a must, with some architectural informations about the construction of the hotel, its history and surroudings.

Very good central location, within easy walking distance of the cathedral, shopping, station, old town etc. The room was a bit small for the price (we had a "superior" room -I suspect the standard ones are of broom cupboard dimensions), but clean and pleasantly decorated. The lobby and common areas are attractive, and the bar serves a good selection of local wines. We didn't try the (expensive) breakfast, but had a good one in the cafe attached to the cinema across the road. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Some proper tea/coffee in the morning would have been welcome - we got an odd selection of novelty teas from room service, not the best for English people!

Very accomodating for a family with three young children; fast check-in, baby beds in place, didn't charge for the childrens' breakfasts. Very quiet room for a central location, walking distance to everything. A real bargain at off season rates but would have been equally happy paying the full rack rate. A great property!
Also, a BIG recommendation for a nearby reataurant which we discovered called 'Umami' which, oddly, could not be found in the Michelin guide.

We only stayed 1 night, so this Hotel was perfect. Centrally located we could easily go back and forth between sight-seeing and going out.
The rooms aren't very big and we soaked the bathroom while showering, but otherwise everything was great.
Can highly recommend this hotel for one or two nights, but would never pay full price.

Very well located. Walking distance from the train station and just on the edge of the old city with all attractions only a few minutes away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevator was out of order and the receptionist offered to arrange the carrying of our heavy suitcase to the 2nd floor. Bathrooms are very spacious and have a double sink!!!. Interior of the hotel is lovely old world and is very well kept. Very good value for money (We didnt take breakfast at the hotel following the advice of other postings here).

Very convenient location to Petit France, Cathedral, and other places on the island--we walked every where. The staff was courteous, friendly, and were quite helpful with recommendations and directions. There are numerous restaurants in the area.

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Strasbourg.
We liked our stay in the hotel, and in Strasbourg as we could reach most everything of interest within 10 minutes of walk.
We had a place in the parking in place Kleber, we did get a discount on the rate there beeing a hotel guest, the hotel itself has no parking facilities for cars.
The staff was friendly and competent speaking German and English and was very helpful.
I can recommend this nice hotel to everybody.

Quality versus price would be excellent if the breakfast was included.
However, this hotel is perfectly located for someone going to Strasbourg just for a stroll in the centre area. i would recommend this hotel for a short stay.

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Hannong and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly and professional, the location was terrific and the rooms were not terribly large but nice. We were within a short walk of most major attractions, and there were great restaurants, a deli and bakeries all within one block. Other reviews had said that the breakfast wasn't worth the price, so we skipped it. It wasn't hard with 3 great bakeries/pastry shops within the block. It was a nice old world style hotel that was a great value; I would definitely stay there again.

A superb hotel, very pleased to get it at the price we did. Very well located, and the service and rooms were impeccable. Lovely to have air conditioning as well after a long hot day in the car.

Well located, charming hotel within a short walk from both the cathedral area and la Petite France. Excellent service, and a possibility to park your car in a covered car park just around the corner for 15€/24 hours, which was a reduced price for hotel guests. Venere only offered us rooms from the cheapest category, so they were very small, but very clean and with air-conditioning. If you don't need a big breakfast, it's cheaper (half the price) to go to one of the nearby cafes than have it at the hotel.

This hotel is in an excellent location with very helpful staff. The room we stayed in was large and comfortable. However on the minus side -breakfast was not included and at 13euros was very expensive for what was on offer. The use of internet was also expensive. We ate breakfast in local cafes after the first day.

Very professional and friendly receptionist when I arrived, offering information and a map of the city. The interior of the hotel was nice with e.g. wooden floors. I had specifically asked for a non-smoking room and was given one (does not always happen in all hotels), so that was good. Location was perfect, a very central location on one of the main shopping streets. Still my room was quiet, as it was on the other side towards a quiet side street. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again. The only thing I was missing was a better bread selection at breakfast (there was only white bread, no wholegrain bread).

Very nice, cozy room. If you don't mind a small room (like most of them in France anyway) I wouldn't look for anything else. Staff of the hotel is very competent and welcoming and speak at least English and German other than French. Hotel is located very close to all main leisure places and places to see in town you can walk everywhere and you can also walk to/from the hotel (in 3-6 minutes) from the railway staion if arriving by train. If we go back to Strasbourg we will definately stay in Hannong againg.

I arrived after 9pm and the reception was courteous and efficient. The room was comfortable without being over decorated and the bathroom clean and efficient. I loved the public rooms and staircase with art posters and simple comfort. The breakfast was good if a little expensive. The overall feel of the hotel was very pleasing.

The Hannong hotel exceeded our expectations. Its location is very central, on one of the major streets, easily reached on foot from the station and very near to all the places of interest in the centre. The hotel is beautifully furnished. I often used the stairs instead of the lift, so as to look at the tasteful decoration of corridors and stairs, with reproductions of paintings, nice carpets, etc. The employees speak very good English, are friendly, welcoming and competent. We had a minor accident and the employees were able to give us all the assistance and advice we needed. The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and kept perfectly clean. We strongly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location! But rooms (even superior) are really small. Breakfast buffet is nice, although a bit overpriced. It was vey fair that they didn't charge us extra for a baby bed in the room, nor for breakfast for a 3-year old child

Every interaction with staff from the time of booking questions to personal requests during the stay were handled quickly and extremely professionally. Virginie was extremely helpful!
The hotel facility itself is very nice, excellent location and an excellent value for the price.
I would recommend to friends and family visiting the area.

We very much enjoyed the Hannong and would stay there again on our next trip to Strasbourg. The location is very near Petit France and the tram line, but is not on any of the noisy main squares. The staff was very nice and one receptionist was so helpful she even made several phone calls for us to locate colleagues and make restaurant reservations. The breakfast buffet was kind of expensive (11 euros) but had everything you could possibly want. Nice room - not huge, but not closet-sized either.
