very bad staff!!! the woman at the desk is absolutely NOT FRIENDLY. She tries to be kind but she doesn't think a word she says... it was very unpleasant!
very few very nice rooms with great view on the cathedral, but too many small rooms (small beds ans small surface)

It is our 2nd time in Strasbourg and 2nd stay in this Hotel. Location: perfect! Breakfast is what you need. Pedestrian area. You park your car in public space 2 minutes away and roll your luggage to hotel. Lots of restaurants around. Perfect for Xmas vacation; Marche de Noel est feerique! Je recommande fortement.

Other than being noisy --- between the bells of the Cathedral (which we didn't mind) and our room being situated next to a stairwell (which was annoyingly noisy), we LOVED the hotel. The location was PERFECT!!! The room and bathroom were nice and the free internet was a plus.

we stayed the night of 12 Jan 08.
excellent location, everything is within walking distance. we would stay there again,
front desk service was excellent, concierge excellent in helping with parking and bags.
a room with cathederal view it will cost an extra 20 euro - we didn't worry about it since its right out the front door anyway,
heaps of great restaurants (I can recommend the pork knuckle nearby at Le Gruber) and bars all close by,
We parked for short time underground at Place Gutenberg while we checked in then the concierge came with me and we drove to the hotel's secure carpark (only 5 mins walk). Pl Gutenberg is about 24 euro per day while hotel secure parking is 15 euro per day. concierge was excellent and helped with our luggage to and from their park. It didn't look like there were a lot of car spaces so it might be worthwhile calling ahead to see if you can get one reserved. tourist info is almost next door. beautiful at night with the christmas lights

Our room (No. 21) was very small, with old and poorly maintained equipment in bath room. This was partially compensated by the good position of the hotel: few meters from Cathedral, Palais Rohan and other museums; nice place to walk around, specially in Christmas period. For future visits in Strasbourg, if possible, I would prefer an alternate stay.

We stayed in a room overlooking the Cathedral and the Christmas market, a wonderful view. One could hear the music from the square, but it stopped before it became too irritating and just added to the festive atmosphere.
The hotel is quite a walk from the station, but there are lots of interesting shops and markets to distract one on the way.
This was our first visit to Strasbourg and we only stayed one night, would love to go back and stay longer, and also go to some of the nearby German towns.

Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

The normal double bed room is the ecomomy room, very small, not very well situated, windows are heading towards the inside of the hotel or a small court were also the restaurants kitchen heads to.
The best of the hotel is the location in the haert of the city.

Accessible by car only very early in the morning, we had high hopes for this hotel although our family room was not like the room in the pictures. In a two-floored room on the top floor, the attic had a draft (was cold) and the Cathedral bells tolled through the night. Surprisingly, no internet stations in the hotel, (only plug in points). Next to the hotel this situation was priceless, close to everything we had no need for the car as we explored the very interesting city for two days.

Location of hotel was great, right in front of the cathedral and in the heart of where we wanted to be. We did feel that the price for breakfast offered was high and chose not to enjoy it there. There were many places to eat in the vicinity.

I've found infinite help from part of the presonel in:
finding good restaurants in the nearby as well as in the city,
leaving and delivering messages at tehreception desk,
giving directions all around the town with,....many others.....with cordiality at any time.

This is a great property that's extremely well located right next to the Cathedral. The reception staff were happy to help with any request (in English), including helping set up a wi-fi connection - which is free (a nice added bonus). Breakfast is OK value, though you could probably do better outside of the hotel. The only minor negatives were: our double room only had two single beds pushed together; and, the shower was a very tight squeeze. Other than that we would happily return to this property.

Very nice small hotel( and small rooms )in the middle of Strasbourg ( a city to visit!).
Car not necessary, payment parking very close to the hotel and not too much expensive.
I spent 3 beautiful days with my family (me, my wife and 2 daughters ).
I raccomend it.

The Venere 'special' price means you will be the only guests that do NOT recieve continental breakfast or a room with a view. We were treated like the evil step children. The location is incredible/PERFECT so once we got past the staff acting annoyed that they had to assist us in anyway... we enjoyed the 'closet' style bedroom with the 'porthole' to the inside courtyard (instead of the view shown on the Venere website).

We stayed one night at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the location was excellent. The breakfast buffet was of a very good quality as was the room itself. Parking was a bit difficult but we managed to find a space in the parking lot beside the cathedral. There is no charge for parking overnight or during the lunch time period, so it was possible to "feed" the meter and keep the space. We would return to this hotel again.
The had dinner at the Dauphin which is located in what appears to be the courtyard of the hotel. We had a fine meal with excellent service. We also had a pleasant lunch at a small cafe just off the parking lot but I cannot remember its name.

Great location, right next to the beautiful cathedral. Perfect base for exploring Strasbourg. Parking is not easy to find, but that's because of the way Strasbourg is structured (pedestrian friendly) rather than the hotel's fault.

Elegant hotel made up of several old residences, superbly located in pedestrian zone across the square from the cathedral, with room service, a fine restaurant on the premises, and other restaurants, shops and museums nearby. Staff helped carry our luggage from our car, which had to be parked some distance away. Would have been helpful to know that elevator ended one floor below our room, but staff helped bring our luggage up the narrow staircase.

As I had indicated, my wife is partially disabled. Because of this the Hotel changed our room to one at the front. As it happened, this did not improve access for her, but , though I understood we were not going to be charged more than the rate for the room originally booked, this turned out not to be the case. At that stage, and just before our return to the UK, I was too tired to argue about it. However, I did feel aggrieved.
