Stallmästaregården Hotel & Restaurang has 49 rooms designed with the help of interior design architect Ricard Lundberg who has utilized the 18th century Swedish style which is representative of Stallmästaregården. In addition, he has combined this with the Chinese influences which were common during that time.
The rooms rooms are bright, beautiful and furnished with 180 cm wide beds covered with one big, wonderful down comforter. All rooms are equipped with cable and Pay TV, mini bar, safe, hairdryer, bathtub, iron and ironing board and free broadband Internet access.

A lovely hotel in a delightful lakeside location, a bit out of the center but easily accessible. The staff was most helpful although they did not remember to provide soy milk and yoghurt as promised. They were tremendously helpful in obtaining an urgent package sent from Denmark. Our room was nice but the furthest from the entry and rather exposed to the public. Overall quite pleased nonetheless.

L'hotel è un'oasi di pace! Atmosfera romantica, candele accese anche di giorno, camere accoglienti, colazioni abbondanti e ben assortite. Un po' decentrato rispetto al centro di Stoccolma, ma ne vale la pena.

A fantastic hotel with for a romantic weekend away. We arrived from Skavska Airport and got dropped off in the bus terminal and then got a taxi to the hotel. There is no bus stop for this airport close to the hotel, unlike if you arrive from Arlanda. The staff were very helpful and moved us to the best available room when we arrived. The hotel is slightly outside the city centre but the walk into town is short and worthwhile. Breakfast is included and is fantastic, such choice and the service was great. The reception staff were helpful and provided us with extra info when we asked them. A great stay and we hope to come back soon.

Wonderful food. It takes you just 10 minutes to walk to the subway station. It's not in the heart of Stockholm, but not in the suburbs – it's in one of the beautiful parks that makes Stockholm so great.
It's a bit Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde: Great surroundings with the park but on the other side there's a busy highway. Strange mix, but it works really great and the hotel is quiet and cosy anyway. The "park/nature" side of this hotel wins over the highway.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center but is located next to a beautiful park and lake. The restaurant is excellent but I would suggest to have a daily menu for those who stay a week or more and wish more variety.

We were planning on staying at this hotel twice, once at the beginning of the vaction, and once at the end. We arrived early so that we had some difficulties obtaining a room before noon. The room was much smaller than expected ( we had difficulty moving around ) and the hotel much further from the center than expected. Although there is a bus nearby, on weekends it only runs every 30 minutes. Taxi's to the center of Stockholm were very expensive. We were gone a week and expected to return to a similar room. However due to a wedding party all rooms in the inner courtyard were booked, and the only rooms available were ones facing the highway. Since the temperature was in the 80's F ( about 27 C), we wanted to open the windows, but there was noise from the highway. I realize that it is unusual to be so hot in Stockholm, however there is noise, certainly if the window is open, from the highway. The hotel is just off the E4 and E20. Since we could not get a desired room we moved out of the hotel. When we threatened to leave we were offered an inner couryard room, but by then it was too late we had booked elsewhere.
The restaurant and breakfast were excellent.
Although there is a public computer, I could receive but not send E-mail since the keyboard did not work !.
In all, the hotel was very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel for seniors ( as we are both in late 60's 70's), since it is too far from the center. It may be suitable for younger people, who do not mind walking a few kilometers. However if you expect air conditioning or a spacious room find a different hotel.

the only problem could be the cooling when real summer temperatures would occur; staircase in room to upper level (bedroom) was quite steep; for the rest, staff & everything else was great

Nice hotel, close to public transport. A pity that the motorway is very close (10m) and that some rooms are noisy due to traffic.
But then again, the surrounding (e.g., lake, woods) is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly.
Airport busses stop right in front every 15min, as such, arrival and departure is very comfortable.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for one weekend in January.
Arriving from the busy main street(s) right in front of this hotel we were in doubt with our choice at first. Yet - the hotel itself proved really charming (!!), with a wonderful interieur. We felt very comfortable right away and were pleased about the free upgrade to a better room type. The rooms (standard as well as deluxe) aren't big - be aware of that, but again with a very special taste to our fullest satisfaction and prove - for Stockholm - a good value for money. If not facing the street, the rooms are satisfactory quiet - except for minor to moderate corridor noise from time to time.
The breakfast was really good with a variation of continental, english and swedish style breakfast.
With public transport it takes little more than 10 minutes to the center. The bus (and airport bus) stop is right next to the hotel.
And last but not least - while the roadfront is fairly joyless, the back of the hotel faces a lake and is beautiful again. It is this view you have when beeing in the restaurant for breakfast.
In conclusion: We had a wonderful stay and despite of some - to us minor - cons would definitely come here again!!

restaurant
The restaurant's menu has an emphasis on Swedish produce of the highest quality. Together with their very own smoke house, rotisserie and grill, traditional Swedish cuisine is kept alive with certain inspirations from slightly more modern cooking.
The open-air restaurant is a delightful way to relax and pass a few hours while having a meal and looking out over the lake.
