The first room we had was very small and claustaphobic, after one night we requested another room and was impressed with the spaciousness and we even had a decent sun patio. We would like to see a two tier breakfast charge, continental or full, we objected to paying 7Euros for a croissant and coffee.

A regular visitor to this Hotel- comfortable and friendly with a superb buffet breakfast.
Located facing the beach and most rooms have sea views. Sitges is a charming town and just perfect for a relaxing beach holiday yet only a half hour train journey from Barcelona which is a must for a shopping or exploring day trip.

The problem was the high noise level from the streets all night through. Another problem was the bad smell of the washing detergents in the room. Otherwise everything was OK and price worthy. I also appreciated the balcony very much.

The hotel was perfectly located and if you are lucky you get a room with a seaview. We were given a gloomy room in the very back of the hotel for the first night but after we asked for a room closer to the beach, the staff made it possible. Rooms are basic but alright. the sportsbar is very nice and the location, as mentioned, perfect for the beach and for shopping, dining and partying. The prices are high compared to the basic comfort but I guess okay for the location. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located, the personnel is nice and helpful but the room was small, the sheets are not changed everyday (they just remake the bed), we had 2 beds instead of a double bed and the window was facing a wall with all air conditioning external parts and other windows at about 2 meters away ! No view of course but we couldn't even open the window because of the AC noise.

The Subur is very well located. 50 metres from the beach, 100 metres from the main pubs & bars.
Staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful and welcoming. The foyer is also a Wi-Fi spot.
Our room was a little small and the decor is a little outdated. It was on a side street rather than the beach frontage. But was very quiet with EXCELLENT air conditioning ( very important when it's 37deg outside ). Other guests we spoke also commented on the effectiveness of the air con.
Overall a great stay, Sitges is fantastic, fun, vibrant place. Subur has a great location, with welcoming staff, small quiet rooms with excellent air con. The decor was a bit of a let-down but the stay was great. Would definitely recommend it.

Second stay at this hotel. This time 4th floor room with balcony on the side of property. Problem free stay and would recommend to anyone. Gay friendly and good hotel for a reasonable price. Inside hotel at night very quiet. With windows open and on balcony certainly noisy traffic, people and the sea! Didn't spoil use of balcony for an evening drink whilst watching the bustling view. Don't know how much noisier on lower floors but with efficient air conditioning and windows closed at night undisturbed sleep every night. Excellent central location. Next visit to Sitges this hotel will be my first choice.

We've been the first time in SITGES. The location of this hotel is really excellent.
From a room with sea view you will have the best views over the beach area of SITGES.
The price/value ratio is rather too expensive, though we've booked it via "VENERE.COM".

Fantastic time in sitges. we had a room with a balcony but it din't overlok the see, but we defintely people watched so that was cool too. For the price we paid which was £200 for 5nites shared btw 2 it was bloody good. The town would definetley be an ideal location for a gay couples. the people are friendly and accomadtiong & the nightlife was pretty cool too. Would defintely stay there again but only if we cud have the huge seaview rooms shown in the picture.

We thought it was extremely good value for money. Room cleaned, fresh towels daily! Breakfast extremely good value, all the usual choices.
Evening meals - reservation - could have been hotter.
Very comfortable stay.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful

Whilst you can't fault the staff for friendliness and efficiency, you will not want to stay at this hotel if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay. Most of the rooms overlook the street, and whilst the noise from the nearby bars is not too apparent, the locals are quite noisy at night (animated to say the least!). Traffic noise is also a problem, and it hardly seems to abate throughout the night. The rooms are basic but clean, although the airconditioning is a definite plus, and the lovely staff seem to put it on during the day, so that when you return from a hard day's sunning (or whatever other activity you may have been up to!), the rooms are fantastically cool. I kept mine to the minimum temperature possible, so much so, that I needed extra blankets! Thereagain, I do like to sleep in a cold room. I reckon that I would stay here again, as it represents reasonable value for money, but next time, I'm bringing earplugs!

I flew to spain to propose to my girlfriend who was staying with her grandmother in barcelona. I know I wouldn't be allowed to stay at her condo so I needed a hotel. After looking for about an hour. I found this one on expedia.com and the rest is history. To my dismay, my new grandmother in law insisted that I stay in her home so I only got to stay in my room one night but it was great. The room was exactly like the picture stated. The man at the front desk was wonderfully helpfull and Sitges is an amazing city at night. My fiancee and I had the most amazing time of our trip walking through the maze of streets late at night finding wine bars and discos. It was truely the best part of our vacation.

I booked 2 rooms at least 8 months prior to travel and specifically asked for rooms with a balcony and above the 3rd floor. The only rooms offered on the website were for standard rooms so I was not to know that the rooms with a balcony were at a different rate. I had inserted comments to the hotel with my requests and as I did not receive any reply to the contrary I assumed that I would get the rooms I requested. I was therefore very disappointed at check into find that one room ( allocated to our friends travelling with us)had a balcony and was onthe 3rd floor whilst the 2nd room was onthe 2nd floor- no balcony. The 2nd room was horrible- like being in a cell as it only 2 small windows which were of frosted glass and looked out the wall of the building next door. Consequently I was quite distressed as we had flown for over 30hours toget to this destination.Eventually after 2 days I was moved to a room the same as the other one in our booking. It was very noisy though as the road was outside and the rubbish trucks started at approx 4:30am.
However, the hotel was immediatley across the road from the beach what is what we wanted.

Good price for a hotel on the beach. Staff very good, but the room was on the small size, and in need update. Loud, very loud through out the night. If you want to sleep get a room as close to the top as possible. Night lift goes on well into the early morning hours.

I have stayed at the Subur for a few years and I have always been satisfied with the accomodation, it basic very clean. Fresh towels and bedding daily, air conditioning and a mini bar, TV, Telephone etc what more can you ask for... location so close to the beach and night life. Great breakfasts and friendly and helpful staff. I only experienced noise levels because there was a locked door from my room to the room next door which was not sound proof, this did not spoil my holiday in anyway but made me concious that i needed to be quiet but the guests next door didn't think the same as me "loud American Queens" room 119 I never saw them but I know everything about them :)
The holiday was great ***** 5 star

Excellent location for - Beach/Bars/Restaurants/Shopping Good value for money considering location and comparing with other hotels in the near vacinity.e.g Mediterraneo (stayed there also)only meters away was almost double the cost but not double the quality. Good inclusive breakfast facility provided by 'sports bar' Rooms were on the small side, clean but basic.

The price I paid with your website €59/ night was excellent. But the normal property prices (€109/night) are not good value.
Please try to get a service with the Hotel La Nina, part of the Santa Maria Group. I stayed at this hotel at the same time for the same price as the Surbur and found it much better value for money.

bad news first: when you arrive you will get a very bad room, small, first floor, very noisy.
breakfast is not bad but service personal is not very friendly to hotel guests. Every day we had to discuss about a real italian coffee
which we were ready to pay, but obviously not previewed for normal hotel guests
good news: we`ve got a better room after the first night, 3d floor, better view, more silent

The hotel location is as good as it can get - it is only separated from the beaches by a road - however, the same is true in respect of all other hotels; it appears that in Spain there are no private hotel beaches. Our windows and a small balcony faced a narrow side-street leading away from the main seafront road - it was noisy, but to a tolerable level. With the windows closed and air conditioning on we could sleep peacefully. Don't ask for the 'sea view' - it might be even noisier there, especially on lower floors, as there is a row of restraurants with summer terraces right in front of the hotel. The room was very small and so was the bathroom. The TV set was so old as not to have a remote control and some pieces of furniture needed a bit of renovation. However, the great location of the hotel (right in the town centre, very close to all bars, restraurants and nightclubs, as well as to the beach) largely compensated us for these relatively minor inconveniences. A hair dryer is provided on request only, so don't forget to ask for it once you arrive. On balance, I would recommend this hotel to those coming to Sitges for a relatively short stay (up to a week). For longer periods, you should probably look for more spacious rooms.

We had a great stay at hotel Subur in Sitges, the first night we got a small room in a side street with lots of noice and only one blanket in double bed. I was traveling with my daughter so after asking for a second blankett we got lucky, so the second night and the rest of the stay we got a beautifull big room with 2 beds and balkony with asea wiew. The breakfast was excellent and the cleaning of the room to. Very nice hotel with friendly people. We are absolutely pleased with our stay and would like to go back again!

We were 2 x single mums with a child each. Looking at the web hotel room pictures you are led to believe all rooms are the same with balconies. This is not the case and there are very many different rooms types, sizes, many with no balcony. When checking in I, with a toddler, was out in a very small room with no balcony and the lights didn`t work. We waited at 01:00 in the morning with the door open for the receptionist to come up. We then got moved to a slightly bigger room with a very small and slightly scarey balcony. The room my friend was allocated expected her to share a small double bed with her teenager and the airconditioning had broken. It was very hot in June. They packed up and demanded reception to find them another hotel at 02:00. They were then allocated a very nice room at the front of the hotel, newly decorated and mod cons with great balcony and very spacious. I think the website should show the very different types of room and you should be able to book what you want and they should have correspnding different prices. Also the website says it includes hairdryers which most don`t. The website seems to just show and detail the very few large, done up rooms at the front of the hotel. All in all it was a bit of a drama and we ended up in a very old cronky room while my friend had luxury after she had to fight for it at 02:00 in the morning.

Excellent location next to beach. One street from noisy bars but quiet enough with windows closed! Plentiful buffet breakfast. Rooms basic furnishings and drab decor but relatively large bathroom. Large wardrobe. Balcony with partial sea view. Staff excellent, daily cleaning done and checked by supervisor. Extra pillows supplied swiftly. Price was exactly as given by Venere. No added extras.
