| The hotel is near the famous Carrer del Pecat street where you can feel the real atmosphere of Sitges nightlife, with its many pubs and bars. On the other hand, the property is only 30 minutes by car from Barcelona. Therefore, tourists will have the possibility to visit the Catalan capital and all its monuments.
Sitges is one of the most famous towns of Costa Dorada Catalan coast, and is full of little typical white houses. It is also well-known for its carnival and it is worth taking a walk in the streets and discover its nice sightseeings. |

Stayed at the Celimar in September '05. Location was very good, just across from the beach and close to the main bars, shops & restaurants.
We chose the cheapest cost double room and were very disappointed. It was tiny with just enough room for a bed and very dark and unwelcoming.
It was also right next to the lift shaft and this, combined with noisy corridors and maid service meant that it really wasn't a particularly nice stay (although Sitges itself was lovely).
Breakfast room was very small and crowded most mornings. We always got a table but it was also not very welcoming.
Maybe the larger, and more expensive, rooms are significantly better but based on the room we had we would suggest there are better places to stay in Sitges.

We spent our honemoon traveling around Spain for 3 weeks. In this time we stayed at many hotels and a couple of hostels. Hotel Celimar was such a disappointment that we cut our losses after one night and booked another hotel even though Celimar charged us for an extra night as a cancellation fee. The hotel was nothing like the pictures that you see on the internet. It may be possible that they have one room that looks like the picture, but I assure you we did not see it. The room was dirty, as we walked in there was an overwhelming stench coming from the bathroom. The bed smelled like mildew and was rock hard. The room was noisy at night, but that can be expected because it is in the center of the town. There was no view from our room, we looked directly into a couryard between the buildings. The staff was not accomodating when we asked to switch rooms due to the smell. This hotel was very overpriced, and I suggest spending the extra 15 euro and moving down the strip to the hotel Terramar which has an outstanding view no matter what room you are in, has a pool, the rooms were nice, and the hotel staff was attentive.
