| Sitges The range of activities available by no means ends here. The quality and diversity of leisure facilities leaves no room for apathy in Sitges. There are three marinas (Port Ginesta, Garraf and Aiguadolç) which offer all manner of water sports and sailing. Rural pursuits are easily accessible for visitors interested in nature. The Garraf Natural Park covers an area of 10,000 hectares, and can be visited by those who would like to explore its leafy forests or climb the barren rocky hills. The night life in Sitges is unbeatable. In the seven discotheques and fifty music bars, pubs and cafes you can find anything from soothing live music to the very latest disco sounds. Sitges by night is one of the most fun, vibrant places on the Mediterranean. |

Wecoming and accommodating staff. Clean and reasonably spacious rooms. Little problems were immediately and satisfactorily dealt with. We would certainly stay there again, especially as the level of facilities was much above the official star rating.

KIND BUT DEFINITELY POOR & SAD

I requested a room with a balcony and view of the sea and got it! Facing west we had the afternoon sun and that was wonderful. The people staying there were really friendly and interesting from all over the world. Although it is a 20 minute walk to town it wasn't so bad because the beach walkway was beautiful. I can truly say this hotel was one of the most relaxing situation and everybody we met was very sweet. I heard that the chef made wonderful dinners! The buffet breakfast (included in the room price) is hearty and varied, it made the start of our day a good one. A great find in a magical town.

Room had a significant damp problem and smelt! Overall pretty good apart from one breakfast where a large group had cleaned everything up and there was nothing left and no attempt to replace anything!

Perfect. Friendly, in a very peaceful quiet area but close to the beach, a pleasant 15min stroll along the seafront to the centre of town. Friendly staff, good service ... breakfast is not 5-star, but included in the price. Get a room on the 3rd floor as they include splendid balconies.

The Arcadia is well located for the beach and the town centre is a 20 min walk away. The Staff are very friendly, especially if you able to communicate in either Castilian or Catalan Spanish.Rooms are basic and not all have balconies which is what I had expected from the description on the web and from photos, however , if you are conscious of the fact that this is only a 2 star hotel then this is good value for money. Staff are friendly. I was a lone traveller and stayed for 11 nights (most visitors are there for a 2 or 3 night stay from my experience)and I always felt very welcome. It can get noisy at the weekend (lots of doors slamming at 11pm as people go out and again at 3am as people return from the bars) but this is a given, what with the Spanish culture of socialising later than the English for example.

Hotel Arcadia provided a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service during our stay in Spain. The Hotel is close to the beach and a stroll to nearby shops and tourist centres, making it a great location for enjoying the best of Sitges.

Overall a good standard for a 2-star hotel. It was very hot when we were there (35C plus) so air conditioning would have been preferred. Ideally a security safe should be available in each room too. However, having stayed in the resort I felt that personal security was not an issue.
The staff were competent, cheerful and helpful. The location of the hotel in the resort was perfect for us.

Very well run hotel. Excellent Reception service . Set in a quiet and peaceful residential area of Sitges and a 10 minute walk to the local shops/restaurants. Would have prefered a hot buffet breakfast, but then the price would have increased. Relaxing grounds to have a beer in and ample parking in the grounds. I speak for the month omid April - the height of summer may be different!

I would probably have rated this hotel higher were it not for the arrival of a party of schoolchildren who seemed to run around completely unchecked every evening - one night for about three hours they were stamping about shouting and what sounded like moving furniture! However, I think this was more the responsibility of the teachers accompanying them than that of the hotel staff.
The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable and the staff quite friendly and helpful (although the service in the restaurant could be improved). In all, I do think it was worth the price (I have stayed in hotels in Barcelona itself which were more expensive and not as pleasant)and I would book the same place again.
