Rooms were large, clean but needed a little bit of refurbishment. Our rooms on third floor and no lift a major problem as I have asthma. Breakfast good for this type of hotel and staff very helpful. Ideal location on shores of Garda - fellow guests rather reserved - only spoke to 2 people other than the staff all week

We had a room on the third floor with superb views over the lake and a good sized terrace, although it was sparcely furnished - just two chairs! The room itself was clean with everything in working order. Breakfast was a traditional continental style and the waitresses were very friendly. The only thing to let down this hotel was the exterior appearance. It looks in need of a facelift and the block paving around the pool area is full of weeds! The pool itself is very clean, but the pool area is not tided in the evening and lets the whole thing down - such a shame. It's a good half hour stroll to Sirmione town, but well worth it as it is a lovely setting.

Great hotel, nice welcome, rooms were excellent The owners were very friendly and helpful with all our questions, breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, the owners even came out to see us off when we left, great location 20 min easy walk to the centre, but worth it, only thing wrong, no lift in hotel but the view from the 3rd floor is well worth the walk up the stairs. would go back anytime.

We stayed here on our Honeymoon. The hotel is quite basic really; nothing to get excited about. However it is the location that you are paying for and staying for, here. It is in a prime location on the stretch at the bottom of Lake Garda. A 15mins walk from the end of the stretch to where the main hustle and bustle is. We were so lucky with our room - we were at the top and facing the back of the hotel - over the swimming pool. We had views of the lake and the mountains. Perfect.

Mirabello was a wonderful surprise. We had a 2nd floor room facing Lago di Garda. It was only 2 miles to Sirmione Castle. We had such a wonderful peaceful time that we stayed an extra night.

Excellent value for the money. The view from the second and third floors is phenomenal. I got some wonderful sunrise photos. The viranda off the rooms were nice size and my wife and I sat outside at night with a bottle of great Amarone. Thanks!

We were heartily welcomed and the owner even offered to move us to the 2nd floor because we wanted to see the lake, which is just across the street. Very near to the medieval city of Sirmione which we enjoyed a lot and where we had dinner. The hotel's private beach needs a little attention, but we were sure that it would be wonderful down there during the summer season. Nice park-like sidewalks for evening walks, with safe surroundings. Rooms were clean and spacious, with a lovely balcony from where you can admire the sunrise on the lake. Staff very friendly and breakfast excellent.

NO elevator ! Large rooms, easy to find, near to the lake, breakfast OK, nearly no stuff, family runned. You need the car to go to Sirmioni. VERY GOOD PRICES !

This is a clean and cared for hotel situated in a convenient situation for both Columbare and Sirmione. An adequate breakfast is provided with fruit juice , cereals, cold meats, cheese rolls, etc. Only two criticisms - the pillows are incredibly hard, and there isn't a coffee making facility in the room. Just across the road there are 2 restaurants and a snack bar.The bus stop to Verona via Pechierra and to Brescia via Desenzano is about 150 metres away, and the boat service from Sirmione a pleasant 15 minute stroll away.Simply good clean accommodation without anything to encourage noise or brash behaviour.

We had a lovely room with a lake-view balcony and really enjoyed our stay. The pool was great and there were lots of sunloungers. Excellent breakfast. The "garden" was a large area but more scrub than garden. The beach was useable but not well maintained. Our main complaint is that the historic centre was not "a stone's throw" away, nor "wenige Meter" but took us almost an hour's walk to reach. It took ten minutes of brisk walking each way to reach a tobacconist's to get bus tickets each day, and our previous hotel on Lake Como sold us tickets, so we would like Hotel Mirabello to sell tickets also.

Excellent 4 day stay (Mid August). Room airconditioned and continental breakfasts are excellent (included in our room price). Small pool excellent but private beach (grass)looks a bit grubby. Good location with numerous restaurants nearby. Best to book if you plan to eat after 19.30. All in all excellent hotel for the price we paid. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed last year and decided to return this year, asking for the same rooms. Staff were very friendly and obliging. The location is ideal for Sirmione and Lake Garda. Just opposite the hotel is a wonderful restaurant, family owned with superb food, but it is best to book since it is very popular with locals.

Staff were friendly and helpful especially as i needed an ambulance at one stage to go to hospital. Language barrier was a slight problem but easy to overcome. Hotel was beautiful, Balcony at the bathroom and bedroom. There was no lift but we were there for just for a long weekend so no problems there. Very clean and overall a lovely place to stay.

Mirabello hotel is a very nice hotel with a very good breakfast bufé. The hotels furnuture and style is a little bit old fashioned but everything was clean and nice. The bathroom seems to be newly restored. Beatiful view over the lake from the room and it's balcony. Good space for free parking. Nice walking path just outside the hotel to the old part of Sirmione

Good location directly in front of a swimming area on the lake, though getting in and out of the water is a hassel due to the slippery and sharp rocks. It was hot when we were here (August) and airconditioning only comes on at 9ish at night and goes off in the morning at 8 and you have to keep the windows closed at night due to the bugs. The hotel has a wonderful outlook over the lake and a short walk to the castle and the gelato.

Excellent situation at the heart of southern Lake Garda, Sirmione. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Lake Garda. Just rent a bike or a scooter and have some fun time travelling around the lake. We got a perfect honeymoon there, thanks a lot!

The hotel met all my expectations. Very nice staying for this price. Very nice breakfast. Clean room. I would suggest to hotel owner to renew towels and to mount an anti-mosquito screens on the windows - I beleave it will cost less then air conditioners operation for whole the night and every night. And finally - a little bit disappointed by the fact that newcomer that comes to hotel at 20:00 can not have a dinner there. In conclusion - worth to to stay there.

We had a great stay at the Mirabello. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The only thing I could complain about is that the rooms are badly soundproofed, but it's not that bad after all. We sure will consider the Mirabello for a future stay at Sirmione.

We spent 4 days at the Mirabello and one's for sure... it wasn't the last time. The hotel is located between Le Colombare and Sirmione. Everything was very clean and everyone was very nice. We very much enjoyed the walks to Sirmione (about 30 mins.) and so it was just perfectly located for our needs. We hope to get back in May and we can just recommend it to everyone with a low budget and high expectations (esp. regarding cleanliness). Should you not like walking up stairs, try to book a room on the 1st level since there's no elevator...

The Mirabello is a very nice hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and hardworking. The rooms were very pleasant with balcony and beautiful view of the lake. Good air conditioning. Hotel spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good. Lovely pool area and pleasant "beach"(grass)belonging to the hotel with small pier to allow access for swimming in the lake. Probably would be a 3 star if it had a lift. No fancy extras but its not fancy extra price. Would definitely stay there again. 2 kilometer walk from main town of Sirmione (half an hour) or 1 euro bus ride and 5 minutes walk from shops etc. at Columbare. Other towns accessible by bus or ferry and one hour cheap bus ride to Verona. Lovely holiday beginning of August 2004.

A particularly friendly family-run hotel that is excellent value-for-money. This is a 2-star hotel that would definitely be 3-star if it had a lift. We were on the third (top) floor, but that wasn't a problem - phone ahead if you want a lower floor. Location: c easy 25 minutes walk from Sirmione Town Centre. Bus stop 2 minutes - bus to Verona takes an hour, 3 mins to Sirmione. 10 mins by bus to station for trains to Venice and Milan. Good breakfasts, good pool, nice lakeside "beach" for a degree of privacy. Nearby restaurants. The towels were the thinnest we've ever seen, but they are changed every day. Overall an excellent hotel.

Clean Italian Famliy-owned hotel. Dominated by a greedy elderly lady, trying to ripp you of, whenever she is able to. Unfortunately the younger owner cannot avoid clients to meet the lady. Our story: We booked with Venere.com 2 Double and 2 single rooms. We adjusted the booking with Venere.com and shortened the stay for 1 day (3 weeks before our stay and therefore in acceptable time frame for charge-free rebooking). The old lady came with the first booking and tried to charge us the cancelled night, even though we presented the adpoted booking with Venere.com. She claimed that we might have forged the adapted booking and insisted on charging the extra night. Only when we offered to call the police and clear the situation together with them she changed her mind, still being extremly unfriendly and insisting that we had betrayed her. Typical Italian other example. The aircon runs only from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 a.m. In case you have the southly oriented rooms you will not have any chance to sleep longer than 9:00 a.m. since the rooms quickly get extremely hot and stuffy. Any other than that the place is nice and clean. Breakfast is much better than a typical 3 to 4 Star hotel. Bring your own towels (for pool), since their towels are thin (rather like tiny sheets than like usual towels)

Fantastic stay at this family run hotel. Very good pool (although you'd be mad not to venture around Lake Garda). Only downside for me was the noisy air conditioning which had to be turned off at night and the lack of a lift might cause some problems. The value, friendliness, and location would certainly make me return to this hotel.

Everything was excellent, including surrondings and location. If there is one serious complaint and I mean serious is the luck of an elevator. I was on the third floor and had to carry heavy luggage up and down. I love the area and on my next stay I will first enquire if they have installed the elevator.

The Hotel is among 25 Minutes Walking from the historical Centre of Sirmione. The Way to centre is along the mainstreet which is very loud. The room was well furnished and the bathroom had a new interieur and had been very nice. But at all our room (to the seaside)was near to the mainstreet and because of this it was very loud so opening a window in the night may disturb your sleep.

the room is very old and suffocated, the hotel is on the main road so ther is alot of nois from cars all night and early morninig. the days we spend there were very hot and the aircondition didnt work because its not the season yet although it was indicated on the web that aircondition is one of the facility. another problem is the gnat on the area so if you open the window (because their no aircondition) and the light is on, your room is full of them and you find yourself hardly sleeping - this was our situation at the first night after the first night we moved to another hotel, good one and recomanded the name is: golf & suise - hotel in the same price

We just used the hotel for an overnight stay on our way to the Cinque Terre and a short visit to the centre of Sirmione, which is a long walk away from the hotel. The room and the bathroom were very clean. No TV. Our sleeping was disturbed by the peoble above us, who seemed to move their furniture from one corner of the room to the other. So you´d better ask for a room on the top floor. Breakfast was o.k.

The Hotel Mirabello is situated half way between the Castle on the point of Sirmione and the second town centre near the base of the promontory. My wife and I found that the staff were very welcoming and helpful (Not all of them speak English but we managed very well with a phrase book when it was needed). The staff provided useful information about bus and ferry/hydrofoil timetables and are able to supply bus tickets. 1 Euro to the Castle area is very reasonable, although you can walk it in about 25-35 mins. If you walk you in the evening you will find lots of midges flying about, especially near the lights. The whole lake was very quiet and peaceful - very relaxing for a weekend break. We took a hydrofoil and visited Bardolino and then walked to Garda by the side of the lake (about an hour or so..plus the stop for refreshment in the bar/cafe along the way). We then took the catamaran back to Sirmione. We saw some lovely sights, took in the shops and cafes and had a great weekend.
