Not up to 4 star standard. Would rate as 3 star. Internet not available and I only booked as it was advertised as available. Fridge in room had to be switched off because of noise. Complaint of noise was not dealt with. Would not stay here again.

good value for money, service describably improved since last year, especially friendlyness at front office, rich breakfast buffet, free parking facility in front of thehotel is helpful as you haven´t to look for garage to park the car.

This hotel was fine for the price, however the two big negatives were: the bed and the noise. The walls are paper thin and the double bed was actually two sagging singles pushed together.Good breakfast and great servers, we didn't have an issue with the breakfast room being in the basement. Location was good for driving in and out of Siena and all around Tuscany. Internet - we couldn't access aol. Would love to stay in Siena next time - but can't beat the price here.

The room was not ready at about 15.00
Employees are not motivated at all.
Public transport was poor. Just one or no bus in the evening at 21.35 (We had been told there would be buses every 20 minutes until 23.00)No bus tickets to be had (we had to walk into town)

It is a standard Best Western - better than that in Savannah, anyway. We stayed here for almost a full week in low season and had no problems. For a given price, everything was perfect.
That said, this hotel is 5km away from the city. It was ok with us, though.

The reservation request and final confirmation by Best Western clearly stated room A/C. Upon arrival we descovered NO A/C available in the hotel. We were advised that Best Western management had turned OFF the A?C for the rest of the year. The average room temperature at night for sleeping was 25 C. When we attempted to leave the window open bugs, noise and light made sleeping imposible. We definitely felt deceived by Best Western management.

Basically a cheap hotel. A long uncomfortable 15-20 minute drive from Siena. When I was there, the air conditioner broke down. The receptionist explained that the manager had 3 hotels to care for and could therefore not make himself/herself available. She said it would be fixed the following morning. It wasn't. The road signs in Italy are terrible. This is not the hotel's fault, but the directions they give on their web site refer to nonexistent signs (I looked hard but didn't see the signs). Breakfast is poor and slow - the waiters don't speak English and appear impatient with the English-speaking guests. The rooms are simple but basically clean. Not a hotel I would choose to stay in again.

The breakfast that comes with the room is excellent. The front desk help is very good and helpful. The resturant for evening meals has poor kitchen help. Our order and I saw many others came out incomplete. I'd recommend having your evening meal elswhere.

The hotel itself was excellent, but the restaurant did not live up to our expectations. At breakfast we were not offered any croissants ourselves, although they were available from the kitchen and we had to ask for them ourselves. As for dinner, twice one of the courses we ordered from the menu was no longer available and once a bottle of wine we ordered from the wine card was out of stock.

Though 4 start hotel it would deserve 2.
Rooms were just O.K. The first room we got was full of water, in the 2nd the lights were out, in the 3rd there was smell of cigarette though was non-smoking room.
Breakfast is inceedibly poor, you can never know if you get a (meaning 1 single piece) croissant from the staff or not. Finally, the price vs quality is O.K., but it shouldnot be advertised as a 4 start hotel.

The location detailed on the internet was misleading-the hotel is a bus trip away from the centre of Siena and the last bus leaves Siena at 9.30 for the hotel.
Although rated a 4 star hotel the service we received was defintely not 4 star- reception staff were most unhelpful and even the smallest query provoked an irritated reaction!

You should allow ample time for breakfast because the service is slow and the restaurant understaffed on a Sunday. The hotel is not within walking distance of the town center, so you have to take a bus.

The public areas and the service don't correspond with a 4 stars level hotel. Also the breakfast is very poor for such a hotel. The location of the restaurant/bar is in the lower level of the building, what is very unpleasant.

Sienna is a walled city, you must park outside so we opted for this hotel for price/parking/quailty. The rooms are clean and the hotel is located only a few minutes away from the city. The room was quiet and parking was free.
However, the staff left a great deal to be desired. The breakfast crew acted as if you were disturbing them by your presence.
There is free internet for quests, which is nice, but only one terminal.
This hotel could improve greatly just by tuning up the staff.

We are a couple and one of us is a disabled wheelchair user. We booked at this hotel because we felt we could be confident about quality and level of facilities for a disabled guest. We were booked in for 8 nights but found another hotel and left after 3 nights, we would have left sooner had we been able to find an alternative accessible hotel.
Specific issues:
Bathroom was badly designed to the extent that it was not possible to shower without completely flooding the bedroom.
The quality of the fittings were shoddy to say the least, the metal strip across the door sil of the bathroom was sticking up at one end and very dangerous also the constant flooding meant that the door was rotting.
The shower curtain was on a spoke contraption but it was broken and even if it had not been, the design would not allow the curtain to be effectively used.
The fridge was broken and not working when we arrived, we asked for something to be done twice but it was still broken when we left.
There was a kettle and sachets of tea and coffee in the room but the only cups provided were lightweight plastic ones of the type provided for water coolers and intended for cold drinks.
The standard of the breakfast was poor, very very bad quality. Dried up fresh fruit, tinned fruit salad, no bran cereal, poor choice of pastries.
The 'few' staff that were there tried their best but they were obviously overworked and understaffed.
The disabled parking was at the very back of the hotel i.e. located as far from the front entrance as possible, as if that was not bad enough, you had to push up a steep hill from the disabled parking to get to the hotel entrance.
The least noise from the adjoining room was clearly audible. We were woken in the night by the TV in the next door room and had to telephone reception to get them to deal with it.
We would not recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Sienna.

Very clean and professional. I liked the free internet access. Staff was helpful and friendly. The price was great. The breakfast was good. Only two complaints - the location was not convenient to downtown Sienna (the bus was regular, but the last bus left Sienna at 8:30 p.m.), and the phone system uses pulse dialing (rather than tone) so I couldn't use my calling card.
