A very good hotel in a convenient location not far from Peoples Square. Room was well-furnished, clean and quiet. Concierge staff very helpful. Hotel restaurants were slightly disappointing.

My husband and I booked an executive suite on the 22nd floor. The advantage of this was that we had unlimited access to internet though if we need to print something we had to go downstairs to the business centre which was not convenient. The bathroom was well-appointed however the shower recess looked like it had never been cleaned. There was a great slab of black mould at the bottom of the shower screen Yuk! Staff welcome at reception was also underwhelming though the concierge and doormen were very helpful.

The first impression when I arrived (from Japan) was awful, the two ladies at the reception being really rude, even unpolite. This was in sharp contrast with the smiles and 'good morning, sir' given by the boys at the entrance. My interpetation of this fact is that the ladies at the front are probably full-time employees, just 'doing their job' the Chinese way, while the boys must be part-timers, much more interested in communicating with people and practising their English. Except that point, everything was OK, or even high standard, in this hotel. I would definitely return, just hoping that the persons at the reception have changed...

Great location. Nice room, unfourtnately, lots of dirty stain marks on carpet. We got upgraded to a suite after the 4th night. It was very nice.

When I arrived - they had no reservation for me. When I showed them the printout of my confirmation, they sent me to sit in the lobby for quite a while. Eventually, they found me a room (the hotel was sold out) and all was well - but, I will never, EVER use Venere.com again!!
