Hotel Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla Seville - Venere.com hotel front view The nice and exclusive Hotel Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla is located in the north of Seville, in the Macarena neighbourhood, next to the Basilica.

The property is housed in an old Múdejar building, a typical Andalusian architectural style, where each room has been decorated and furnished in a different way, giving special relevance to the bathrooms, whose walls are made with marble and stuccos.
Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla also features a Jacuzzi, located on the hotel roof terrace and available to all guests for free. A booking needs to be placed in advance at the front desk to be able to use it.

Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla is a fantastically relaxing hotel which is walking distance from the main tourist attractions. The rooms are superb, as was the breakfast. We loved it and have already recommended it to our friends.

Overall, very friendly staff and wonderful rooms. The decor of the hotel is great. This is a lovely place to stay! The only drawbacks are the noise and the location. As far as noise goes, you have to contend with commotion on the streets (window in our room wasn't double-paned), and the noise in the hotel. Our room was on the second floor, and we heard the front desk telephone ringing at very late hours. The showers in other rooms are VERY, VERY loud (we were awoken by late-night bathers on a couple of occasions). In terms of location, this hotel is not in a bad neighborhood per se, but it is quite a distance from any of the major sites in Seville. On average, we had to walk 45 minutes to get to the places we wanted to see. Remember, Seville doesn't have the same sort of public transportation service that Madrid has! If you don't mind paying for cabs around the city then the location may not be such a hassle.

The Alcoba del Rey de Sevilla is a very romantic hotel which reflects Seville's Moorish heritage in its beautiful furnishings. The staff were extremely helpful and it was the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing and indulging in tapas. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the bars and clubs around the Alameda de Hercules. There are also a number of lovely churches and pretty plazas nearby.
