Accoglienza ottima, personale molto gentile.

If you book a single room I think they tend to give you the smallest room with no windows directly above their interior restaurant. So its not worth the price at all. The area is very touristic. Next time I would stay in an other district and go there only to visit ...

The hotel is directly above a restaurant. The room smells like fish all the time (probably directly above the kitchen). It was very loud, because you could catch almost every word of the staff chatting.
Room was very clean but with bad matresses.
The location of the hotel is excellent.

Very clean and very quiet, at least it was in February. Beautiful Seville tiles everywhere. The rooms are to a high standard, but quaint, the result of 9 rooms being squeezed into the narrow frontage. Only 2 rooms face the outside alleyway, the rest onto internal courtyard, so no views. More B&B than Hilton. NB: The thin plastic card on your room key activates the lights! Restaurent has excellent food but wine is a ripoff. You can dine and breakfast well and more cheaply out of the Santa Cruz area.

Pros: Perfect location, 50m from the Cathedral. Daily cleaning of the room. Spacious bathroom. Cheap.
Cons: (1) We (a couple) had a double room with separated beds and no way to have a room with a double bed (it was full). This is not specified on Venere website (if I'm not wrong), you should differentiate. (2) the bedroom was narrow and dark. (3) A bit noisy due to the restaurant at ground floor. (4) no window in the bathroom.

Terrific location, just 2 minutes walking from the cathedral, in a really fashinating area.
Clean room, nice bathroom, not that quiet but still enjoyable. I strongly suggest to book this hostal due to its quality/price ratio and its amazing location that will surely allow you to discover and experience the beauty of Sevilla.

This place is all about location. Very small rooms, but if you don't care, like we don't, it's pretty good. The noise at night is potentially bad, but our visit in November was OK, except for the trash collection one night which was very noisy.
The restaurant was never opened, even for breakfast, which I was looking forward to. Again, this was perhaps because it was in the off-season.

The location was excellent for visiting all the main attractions. The hotel meals were excellent and served to us in the Plaza outside. The hotels tables in the plaza were confusing as they were not the closest ones. The whole area around the hotel is pedestrian walkways; no vehicles. So it is quite a walk to buses and the tram. The train station was a 25 minute walk along busy roads, but safe enough.

The room was fine, and so was the hotel itself. The location was PERFECT. The only trouble was that one of my room walls formed a part of the atrium coming up from the restaurant. Even this was fine except around 6am when the cooks would listen to what sounded like Spanish talk radio at a loud volume. That would end around 7 and quiet would return to the hotel. If you go, I suggest you ask for a room that does not form part of the atrium. You may have to show them what you mean.
I would only return to this property if I could ensure that I had another room.

Overall rating very poor because of the quality of the room. Can't really qualify this as a room but more as a dormitory in a youth hotel.
Seville is certainly one of the most beautiful european town, and you should specify that the rooms are very tiny, no breakfast,....

Could use a better map (the site map and the city tourism maps just don't work well enough)-- right around the corner from street between Cathedral and Alcazar, or one street away from the Jardines de Murillo -- but it's tricky to make the right turns. Once you've learned the route, the hotel is very well located for touring or just strolling the best sights.
This is mainly a restaurant and neighboring tapas house with rooms above, but you get excellent hotel attention...excellent for Spain anyhow, and a cut above the curt, almost rude Spaniard average if you don't speak the language.

We were three friends sharing a triple. The hotel met our expectations based on what we had read about it on Venere. The good points were: great location (right in the historic heart of the city and at walking distance from all attractions), simple but clean and spacious room, and friendly staff.
On the negative side, as others have said, it was rather difficult to find. Therefore, you should expect to turn around a bit and practise your Spanish asking for directions several times until you get lucky and find someone who REALLY knows! The other negative point for us was proximity of our room to the kitchen (noise & kitchen smells), but by the time we returned to the hotel at night, all was quiet and the smells were gone.

The location and surroundings of the hotel were excellent. The room was very basic and small but clean. There was no TV or any other facilities. There was a bulb misssing in the room and it was not replaced despite our request to do so. The beds were small and uncomfortable but this probably was because of the size of the room.
We did not have much interaction with the staff. There were a lot of cockroaches in the bathroom at night.
Seville is a beautiful city with much to do. The location of the hostel near the Alcazar and the Giralda wasgreat and you had easy access to the city. Overall giving its position and services, the price of the hostel was about right. Would stay there again if in Seville but would carry a bug exterminator the next time.

Very central but very hard to find. In the pedestrian area so taxi can only drop you nearby. Took ages to find and no-one had heard of Calle Gloria or the hotel. Best thing to do is get a good map before arriving. Room was very small but OK as only for one night. Excellent restaurant and lots of shops/bars/places to eat nearby.

100%Recomendable

The Hotel La Hosteria de Dona Lina is a great deal - the location is perfect and the cost relatively low. My only complaint is that the bed in the double room we had was really not adequate for me (169 cm tall) and my boyfriend (185 cm tall). I spent the night clinging to the side of the bed hoping not to fall off! That being said, the room wasn't big enough for anything larger so it really should be advertised as a single.
The room overlooked the restaurant so there was little natural light or view to speak of. However, it was well decorated and clean. We didn't have noise problems from the restaurant but there were double windows.
