Everything was fine and as expected. We were there in the middle of the carnival and did not realize that the all night street party was right outside our window. Nothing that the hotel could do about that - so we just stayed out all night.

Excellente adresse, très bien située pour faire des achats, visiter, utiliser le port vers les autres îles. Les chambres sont tout à fait correctes, de taille et d'équipement. Le petit déjeuner buffet permet de tenir sans problème jusqu'au dîner !

Das einzige, was im Pelinor excellent ist, ist die Lage als Stadthotel: direkt in der Fußgängerzone, nah an allen Lokalitäten. Ansonsten war das Zimmer klein (das Bett im DZ nur 140 breit) und hellhörig: in der Fußgängerzone wurde es nie ruhig und auch das geschlossene Fenster dämpft den Lärm nur wenig. Bei Ankunft haben wie erst mal selber durchfegt, damit man barfuß laufen mochte. Das Frühstück war dürftig aber für regionale Verhältnisse ok. Wobei die Preisangaben unklar waren: auf der Venere-Seite war versteckt angegeben, dass Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen sei, die Zusage vom Hotel lautete aber "only bed", während im Endeffekt das Frühstück nicht berechnet wurde. Sehr ägerlich war, dass bei Buchung die Visakartennummer angegeben werden muss, mit dem Hinweis, das nicht abgebucht würde. Das Pelinor hatte aber bereits bei unser Ankunft eine Nacht abgebucht, was gegen die Abmachungen verstößt.
Fazit: Santa Cruz hat uns sehr gut gefallen und das Hotel ist in der Stadt sicherlich eines der billigsten. Mit ca. 60,- EUR schien es uns dennoch überteuert.

The televisions are a bit small and there are no public spaces other than a cramped lobby to sit with your group, but the prices are good and the location is perfect.
