The Hotel Union Square is centrally located in San Francisco's famous Union Square and the historic Cable Car line is right outside the door.

Guests can enjoy visiting the San Francisco theatre district, as well as world famous shopping and dining venues, all within walking distance from the structure.

Built in 1913 for the Pan American Exposition, the building holds a nostalgic and impressive history. Today, it has a spectacular new look designed by Colum McCartan of Carta Design Group.

The structure doesn't have its own restaurant. However, Room Service is available from 3.30 p.m. to 11 p.m., catered by the La'Zeez, an indian fusion restaurant close to the hotel.

Among the services offered are a complimentary off-site cardio workout room, same day laundry and dry-cleaning services and a complimentary Intentet Point in the business centre. Dogs and small pets are welcomed.

The Hotel Union Square provides quality rooms to all guests, and guarantees a superior service.

Influenced by current European concepts, their design is sophisticated and yet casual. The walls, upholstery, and bedding lend a colorful backdrop to original artwork depicting San Francisco's most celebrated scenes. Gladys Perint Palmer, a renowned fashion illustrator, was commissioned to create original canvas drawings exclusively for the hotel.

Every room has individually controlled air conditioning and heating, mini fridge, safebox, hairdryer, Wi-Fi Internet connection, two direct-dial telephones with data port, cable TV, pay TV, Nintendo, VCR, iron and ironing board.

Non-smoking and specially equipped rooms for disabled guests are available on request.

The penthouse suites feature private terraces and a spectacular view of the city. These suites are the ideal place for business meetings, too. Audiovisual equipment and a catering service are avalaible.

    I was a bit disappointed staying here. The rooms whilst true to the pics, have seen a few years age, so they're a bit tired now. The bathroom is more like a hostel bathroom - very pokey. The lift in the hotel didn't work whilst I was there - not that great given they put us on the 4th floor. Also watch out that you are charged the correct amount - the internet rate I booked on somehow increased, until i questioned it. Great location though.

    By car
    From the south, take the highway 101 north, follow signs to 9th Street/Civic Center exit. When 9th sreet crosses Market street, veer right on Larkin. Follow Larkin street to O'Farrell street. Turn right on O'Farrell street, follow O'Farrell to Stockton street. Turn right on Stockton street, then right on Ellis street. The parking lot is at 80, Ellis street.
    From the north and the highway 101, follow the 101 across the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco. Take the Lombard street exit. Turn right on Van Ness avenue, then left at O'Farrell street. Turn right on Stockton street and right on Ellis street. The parking lot is at 80, Ellis street.
    From the east, the I-80 and the Bay Bridge: after crossing the Oakland Bay Bridge follow Interstate 80 to the 5th street exit. Exit 5th street toward downtown and veer to the right. Cross Harrison street and Marktet street. 5th street becomes Cyril Magnin street. At the first corner make a right on Ellis street. The parking lot is at 80, Ellis street.

    By airplane

    Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation.
