Very helpful front desk staff who suggested restaurants and made dinner reservations for us. Large double room with somewhat older bathroom. Close to historical sites and points of interest. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. Overall great price, I recommend!

I stayed at the Hotel Top Mozart in March, which is not a "heavy" tourist month. But the staff were very friendly and helpful, and I would definitely stay here again. However, if you have small children, you would have to learn to use public transportation (available through the Salzburg Card), because many of the attractions are a bit of a walk away. The distance is not at all uncomfortable for an adult, but it might be tiring for a child after a day of sight-seeing.

This hotel was a good choice - it has a family-run feel to it, but offers all the usual facilities for a hotel much larger. Rooms are modern in decor, and even the single room in our party was a good size. The location is good, with a five-minute walk to the old town, and is on the main bus route to and from the airport, making the transfer very easy. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice, including a good range for vegetarians, and was at a reasonable time for tourist travellers such as us. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would quite happily stay there again.

We stayed for one night at Top Hotel Mozart. Hotel staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable in responding to all our questions (about the city, restaurants, etc.). Room was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. We'll stay at Top Mozart Hotel again when we'll return to Salzburg.

Lovely hotel with fabulous views - ask for room 503 which is the biggest, on the top floor with great views. Breakfast was fairly basic but OK for 10 euros but the staff were very friendly - will stay again.

EXCELENTE.

This was a very nice hotel with all of the anemities. I would have preferred something on the other side of the river but we were just a short8 minute walk. It was an excellent value for the season and room quality.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nicely decorated. The washroom was very clean. The front desk staff is helpful; we got maps upon arrival and the lady who worked there answered all our questions.
The only drawback is that it is around a 10-15 minute walk from the cathedral/rathaus area.

Excellent location near to the Linzer Gasse, a ten minute walk to the old town, close to numerous reataurants and bars. The jewell in the crown of this hotel is without doubt the first class, friendly staff, they are multi lingual and very knowledgable when it came to making recommendations for restaurants and excursions, they were always friendly, patient and polite. A lack of air conditioning means that on a warm evening you may have to leave your room window open, this lets in the street noise. The breakfast was tasty and varied, the ambience of the hotel is that of a traditional Austrian establishment. The rooms are not big but they are well appointed and comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Mozart.

Our time in Saltzburg was delightful. The hotel was close to everything. We were able to walk to all the highlights of the city and enjoy local restaurants. The facility was very clean and the staff very friendly. We would return to this hotel if returning to Salzburg.

We had a lovely stay at Top Hotel Mozart. Bruno was the best. Helped us with our lost luggage and was most accommodating and friendly. Other employees were friendly also. Rooms were very nice. We had a most peaceful stay there. Salzburg is beautiful. Our hotel was close enough to everything that we wanted to see by foot. I would recommend to anyone.

This was our first stay at T.H Mozart (and visit to Salzburg) and we would, without a second thought, stay here again and recommend the hotel to friends. The staff were welcoming, friendly and informative. If we were to return to Salzburg we wouldn't even look into other hotels. Location, cost, cleanliness, staff - all great!
TOP HOTEL! ;O)

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Hotel had a very homely feeling and an excellent breakfast.
It was a short walk from the centre and access to all the attractions. We were driving and appreciated the car parking facility which was free. It was a perfect location to base ourselves while sightseeing in the area. We have discovered a little gem and would definately stay at the Mozart again.

Well located. Asked for rooms with a mountain view and were given them. Hotel receptionist called Awelie, a young French woman, was excellent with accurate information every time we asked but one of the male receptionists just guessed the answer- and he was usually wrong.
Good hotel for the price, clean and reasonably quiet but with no facilities to make a hot drink and the hotel did not offer any room service. Also there is no bar. Breakfast was good for 10€.
Maps given on arrival are useful and the restaurants recommended, apart from the nearby Italian which has a restricted menu, were good.
We would stay there again.

My cousin and I stayed at the Hotel Mozart in Salzburg for 3 nights in October and from the moment we set foot inside the door of the hotel we were greeted warmly by Karen at reception. She was the epitomy of excellent customer service throughout our stay. From assisting us with queries, maps for the area, restaurant recommendations , taxis and much more, Karen and indeed all the staff who assisted us throughout our stay were nothing but helpful, curteous and exceptionally well organised to the point of anticipating our next requirement! (totally true, as I was arranging checkout the gentleman at reception was unknown to myself ringing a taxi company and ordering same for our trip to the airport - amazing!!). Excellent value for money in my opinion and very clean. I cannot praise highly enough.
The hotel is also in a perfect location near the centre of everything if you wish to walk but if like us you would prefer a more leisurely break then the hotel will also assist in booking tours within and outside Salzburg, even with short notice. We decided at 7pm we would like to go on a tour the following morning at 9am and it was organised for us with no hassle whatsoever and we were collected from the hotel so all in all we had a brilliant, relaxing, stress free stay in this hotel and indeed this is one of my favourite cities in the whole world and I will defintely return. A truly beautiful city!

The exterior of the hotel is rather uninspiring, as is the street on which it is located, but don't let this put you off. The location is ideal - it's on a quiet street, a ten-minute walk from the railway station and 15 minutes' walk from the old town - close enough to be convenient yet away from the noise and crowds in this major tourist destination. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering maps and information when we checked in. The room was small but comfortable, which is really all you need. The breakfast cost an extra 9 euros per person but was excellent value for money - a high-quality buffet in very pleasant surroundings. The only minor gripe that I have is that there were sometimes not enough staff to deal with everything efficiently. On one occasion we were unable to find a member of staff to give the key to when going out, and did not want to just put it on the reception desk - and then got a bit of an admonishment for taking the key with us. And check-out was a bit chaotic, with a single member of staff attempting to deal with everything including arranging tours and taking telephone calls. Overall, though, this was a good-value, comfortable hotel and one that I would choose to stay in again.

This was a great place to stay. Close to all the places we wanted to go too and the staff were very helpful. I'd come back any time. We had 4 couples with our group and with the only problem being a little street noise and one missed bed remake we had no troble at all.

We only stayed 1 night at this hotel, but it was fabulous. Clean, spacious, mozart chocolates for our pillow and a wee couch to spread ourselves around on.
The location to the main downtown was great - a quick walk (5mins?) through well lit safe streets. Cafes on route. Parking could have been a challenge as they had about 8 parks. We were there reasonably early, so had no problem. I would envisage the streets would have been relatively safe for parking overnight if nec - as we had found in other places.
The biggest challenge with this hotel and all of the venere hotels we stayed with were the instructions on getting there. It is OK if you have a local town map, otherwise, the reality of finding the exact street off a small section is a bit of an IQ test.
Coming into Salzberg was via a lot of roads off the freeway. We simply followed the signs along the 'hotel route' (or similar) which mostly also went in the same direction as the signs to the central area, and - eventually got to where we could narrow it down using a combo of the directions off the venere web site and the lonely planet guide book.

The temperature in the rooms was a bit chilly. When we asked to have some heat supplied to the heaters we were told that it wasnot possible as the sensor OUTSIDE that monitored the climate judged the temperature sufficiently warm to prevent the supply of heat to our room. We were offered extra blankets, To our American way of thinking this seemed a poor way to handle our request. Other than that our stay was quite pleasant and the staff helpful and informed.
