This Hotel is nothing on earth a for stars Hotel, never. At the very most, it's an old two stars Hotel, and for 100€, that's expensive!
Shower doesn't works,...and so on...
Not really at a walking distance from Downtown(20 mn). So find an other one!

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff was very accommodating. We traveled by train, and the walk to the hotel was easily manageable. Breakfast was good and the hotel was within easy walking distance of the old town.

You get just what it says on the tin with this well located, small, budget hotel. Its clean and warm with spacious rooms and it prvides an ample standard continental breakfast in a pleasant if slightly short on space breakfast room. We have visited this hotel twice so that says a lot as I spend a lot of time considering where to stay and travel often. Dont expect a great deal of warmth from the reception staff though. Scant English is spoken, there is not a lot of smiling done and the slight impression gained is that the chaps who run the hotel do not thoroughly enjoy their jobs. Pity, as if they did it would make a very reasonable hotel a great one.

The staff whas not welcoming and helpful. The don't say hello or godmorning when you entring the hotellobby ... they say nothing.
So it was a dismal atmosphere and i and my friends will never stay on this hotel again.
The hotel has a greate location between the trainstation and the city of Salzburg but i dont't recommend the hotel to annyone.

Cozy hotel located near the city center. Great if you have to attend events at the Salzburg Congress Zentrum. Excellent price to quality ratio. Do not stay there if you are a fan of spacious rooms!

The hotel is really very close to down town (15 minutes walk). There is a parking 30 meters from the hotel at 9€/day. Rooms are very essential , furnitures quite old. Breakfast is adequate. The overall rate is quite good.

We rented two rooms, and the three bedded was fine, but our "small queen bedded double-room" was very, very small and dark and warm!! (Skip the "queen"...!)
Some of the your staff in the reception could be a little bit more interested in their guests wellbeeing!

The staff were very welcoming and rooms very clean. However, for the price, the room we stayed in was extremely small with a tiny (supposedly double) bed. The breakfast was very good and the hotel was very close to the station and 10minutes taxi ride to the airport.

Our room was noisy both nights (overlooked the street) even though it appeared to be a quiet suburban area--People yelling at all hours in apt bldg across from hotel.
Location - a good 15 minute stroll down to Salzsach River and the old town on the other side--ok for us but might not be for others.
No entry lobby, just stairwell: reception and breakfast rooms down a flight of stairs in basement. There was also a small sitting room with a computer for internet access (free). Employees very nice, welcoming, helpful with suggestions, maps, etc.
Room & bath not large, but comfortable & clean. We would not return only because we rarely, if ever, go back to the same place.

The employee only spoke Italian and did not make any effort to communicicate neither in German, nor in English and French!!
My reservation was not known, fortunately another roon was still available. The next morning, after I already had checked out, I was called by somebody of the hotel asking me if I would leave that day. Apparently they found my reservation. I hope that I will not be charged twice for one night!!

Our room turned out to be very spacious for a triple room. The breakfast was a cold buffet which was good (cereal, bread, lunch meat, cheeses, yogurt, boiled eggs, coffee, juice, milk). It was within walking distance from the train station, as well as the old town. They had 2 computers with free internet access which was great. I would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed in many hotels in salzburg and have found all of them (including the youth hostels) to be extremely good value. This one, however, was a complete disappointment. The hotel itself was so-so in terms of rooms and breakfast etc but the service and competence of the staff was awful. on arrival I had to wait about five minutes for the receptionist to finsh eating her snack before she could be bothered to serve me and when she did, I felt as though I was causing her a great inconvienience! Noone bothered to tell me when or where breakfast was served, when checkout was or anything about the room and all the staff that evening never once said hello to any guest that entered the hotel. I definitely wouldnt stay there again.

grazie,
fam. Marconi

The 4 stars qualification seems to me large too much. It would be a perfect three stars hotel according to what it offers, but for the price of course, it would be a bit too high. Appart from that very clean and a good attention. A very pleasant stay.

Unfortunately we were not impressed by hotel lasserhof. The positives are that it is close to the train station and the breakfast is good. Our room was clean but it looked out to apartments that partied loudly late into the night. At 1:40 in the morning we were awoken by guitar playing and singing that went on for an hour. Although the hotel was clean and in walking distance from the 2 towns I was not impressed with the service. No one went out of their way to greet, chat, or offer advice of the town. Although we loved Salzburg and will be back we will not be staying at this hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located near the train station, about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center. The surrounding neighborhood gets pretty quiet on the weekends, so it can be hard to find a restaurant near the hotel, but the desk staff recommended a nice Italian restaurant for me. The rooms are small, but clean and the breakfast was good. I was traveling alone and felt safe in the hotel. My only complaint was I was awakened several times in the night by people climbing up the stairs, which were not carpeted.

IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN SALZBURG THE LASSERHOF IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE. THE ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND VERY CLEAN AND THE BREAKFAST IS A COLD BUFFET STYLE. YOU ARE ONLY 10 MINUTES WALK FROM THE OLD TOWN. OVERALL IT IS VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.

The room looks/feels like mediaeval prsion room(some people may like the style) and the wooden floor has the function to anti-thief, it keeps making noisy when walking on it. We keep wondering how the hotels are rated in Europe. A four star hotel in Salzburg equals a 2 star hotel in Shanghai?!
