All my fears left me when I saw the hotel, the surroundings were a little bit disappointing (as we knew). The hotel itself is very accessible, easy to find according to the map and its interior very comfortable and nice. The double room we had booked exceeded by far our expectations and we recommend this hotel warmly to anyone looking for an affordable hotel near Salzburg.

We had the family room which was excellent for a short stay. It was large and spotlessly clean. I'm not sure I would want to stay at the hotel for much longer than a few days simply because it is only a bed & breakfast and nothing for the children to do at the hotel. There is an Italian restaurant in the building although I felt that it was owned separately. Personally I did not enjoy the food and therefore could not recommend it. However, it is useful if, like us, you are arriving late and need to eat (although a bit of a waste of money as the children found the food to salty). We stayed for one night on two seperate occasions and both times arrived in darkness and left early. We arrived about 10pm the first ocassion and no-one was there to greet us. However, there was a message asking us to phone and it was very easy to obtain the room key and make arrangement. The owner was very helpful in organising taxis etc. and there was a good selection for breakfast. One important point, there is no lift so it's hard work if you arrive with heavy luggage as we did. I couldn't really rate the surroundings as only briefly saw them from a taxi window. However, the hotel is on the outskirts of town and in more of an industrial area although not unpleasant. There was a tram stop very close by and I would imagine it is only 10 minutes to the centre.

Very clean, quite large rooms. Helpful staff. Nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Conveniently located on the bus route to town. The pastries at the cafe next door were astounding! Only drawback is that the place is not easy to find from the autobahn. It took us literally an hour to find it.
