I would not recommand this hotel during winter : we arrive at 5PM and our rooms were very cold. After two hours of heating, I must stay in my bed with two plaids... I ask the board if it was normal and their anwser was that my room was largely warm enougth (15°C)and that I have to change for another hotel if not satisfied ! Only at 10PM the room was about 18°C. Breakfast price indicated on venere.com was 8€ but they ask me 10€, and I need to refuse to pay to obtain the rigth price. Very far from a tree star hotel.

The rooms were lovely and the setting very picturesque. Convenient to drive to town for dinner and to drive to other places in Provence. Very satisfied. Excellent breakfast, even though it was extra, it was a good value for the money.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Restaurant good for breakfast but struggles to cope with dinner, whch favours Italian cuisine. Badly managed and under-staffed restaurant of 10 indoor tables in a hotel of 25 rooms. Be prepared for lengthy delays or eat in St Remy if you have a car

The photo showed an old location of the hotel, right in town; it is now on the road before reaching town. Very deceptive and disappointing. Terribly uncomfortable bed in a very small room.

Ideal location for visiting the area, just outside St Remy (1 km) surrounded by country and the old roman town of Glanum. Very comfortable and clean rooms, with friendly staff contributing to a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent pool. Staff friendly, accessable, but never invasive. The only slight disappointment was the breakfast. Choice was excellent but bread and croissants were not of the quality available in the town and could have been prepared from frozen. However, this is not a deterrant we eagerly look forward to our next stay.

We loved the place. It is a wonderful hotel in a great location, just opposite the asylum where Van Gogh stayed and only 200 meters from the Roman ruins. It is a 15 minutes walk from the town center. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful with a very clean and modern bathroom. Beautiful garden and swimming-pool. Everything was perfect. We will go back.

The room is a small and looked a little old, but well kept. The hotel compound is resort like with a nice garden and a pool. Location is right next to Van Gogh Glanum. But it is rather far to walk to St Remy, you would need some transportation.

Very nice, quiet. Off season pricing was very reasonable and no crowds. Breakfast was very good, much better than sitting in a smokey cafe in town. We'd certainly go back.

Great value for the price; wish we could've stayed longer than our one night. Great setting among fragrant olive groves with beautiful garden and pool area. Literally across the street from the asylum where Vincent Van Gogh stayed and painted (now a museum). Not ideal for someone traveling by train -- there is no train station in St. Remy. We took the TGV to the TGV station in Avignon. From there, took the shuttle bus (about 1.50 euro)into Avignon town center. There is a bus station right next to the train station in town. Cost for bus was 4.20 euro per person for St. Remy. Fourty minute ride; runs about 6 times a day. From the bus stop in town, there is a good 1.5 mile or so walk up hill to the property. Would've been much easier by car.

This is a very nice place with a great pool. It is about 2 miles from St. Remy up a steep hill, making a walk to town more difficult than advertised. Upon our arrival, the woman at the desk never attempted to assist us with our lugage or ask us if we needed help even though we are both senior citizens. This was an issue since the hotel does NOT have an elevator. She asked if we were having breakfast at the hotel for our 2 day stay. When we replied that we probably were, she said very sharply, "It's either yes or no - now". This is really a nice hotel. It's too bad the management isn't. Contrary to the representative at the front desk, the waiter in the restaurant was very pleasant.

The explanation fails to mention that the hotel is directly opposite the hospital where van Gogh was interred, and that it is adjacent to the ancient ruins of Glanum. A wonderful location! The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly. This hotel is a jewel. St. Remy is a lovely little town as well.

We had a very nice time while staying at this hotel. Our only complaint is that for most of our 3 days, there were no employees who spoke any English. On the first night part of our shower broke and we could not explain this. Also, we found the dining room more difficult to enjoy due to the language problem. We are sorry that we can't speak French, Italian, German, etc., but then we are not in the hotel business and had presumed that this hotel would have someone who spoke a little English. Still, we had a very nice time and hope to return.

The grounds are gorgeous, the location is fabulous, but the rooms are seriously lacking. Small, dated, a little dirty, and insects to boot. I checked the box for twin beds when I made my reservation, and wasn't told until checkin that they were not available. They did, however, give us cots the second night, but noone in my family slept a wink the first night!
