We had a very bad experinience at this Hotel. There was no cot available for our baby daughter and she ended up sleeping on the floor. We also had a very poor experience in the restuarant with the service being non existent. It took over 3 hours to receive our meal and we eventually left having had no dessert from the menu. We will not be using this hotel again!

La Bertielere I am happy to respond to your request for feed back on our stay at the above hotel. Over the past few years my husband and I have had several touring holidays in both France and the United States, using the internet to reserve our accommodation en route. In almost every case, except La Bertielere, we have been totally satisfied. Out of four stops on this holiday, La Bertielere was the poorest. The hotel The above hotel was difficult to find. There was no detailed map on the internet site nor on the communication received from the hotel itself. We first tried to approach the hotel through the village named in the address of the hotel and, although there was a sign to the hotel, the access road was blocked by road works. We had no map to find our way round these roadworks and got totally lost in the outskirts of Rouen. The appearance of the hotel was just as described, with a lovely garden and our reception was courteous and helpful. The room The carpet was grubby and so were the top pillows on the beds. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable in hot weather, as they were covered with rubber protection. The outlook from our room to the rear of the hotel was onto a rose bed, which should have been really attractive, but it was uncared for and full of weeds. The bedside lights did not work. We received help almost immediately, only to be almost laughed at when the employee crawled around behind the bed to plug them in! The restaurant Whilst we were drinking our aperitif in the garden, we tried to find out what the plat du jour was. We were told that the chef had not yet arrived and therefore that information was unavailable. This was just before 7.30 pm! There was dog wandering around the restaurant, which appeared to be resident. However, once ordered, the evening meal was good, although not outstanding. Breakfast arrangements were much better with a good variety of food on offer. The bill I had receiv

Extremely busy with coach tours and a wedding. No offer of dinner reservation, when we did ask we were seated in a corner of a function room in between 2 parties. Did not get to finish meal as was too busy and service very slow. No telephone in the room, television had terrible picture. Very very expensive food and drinks.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
