Everything was perfect. We`ve been staying in the repaired room on the last floor. And there was place for smoking - on the roof. It was very convinient for everybody - for smokers and non-smokers. Thanks for staying.

The employees were very nice however, the faucet leaked, no shower curtain installed, the shower head leaked, the closet was missing shelves, the room needed to be painted and the complimentary breakfast was basic. I do not ask for much but I do expect the room to be in complete working order. Overall the stay was ok.

First time in Rome and we had great weeks holiday The hotel was not expensive but the rooms are badly in need of renovation. It is central enough [about 15 mins. from metro, trains and 'buses]. We would stay here again but only if the rooms were done up.

Agood value for the price. We had stayed at a nearby location and paid 100 Euros more for a similar situation except for some cosmetic differences. We found this area convenient for walking to sights, accessing the subway, and to pick up a rental car when we left the city.

The hotel was expensive for what you got, but we can't fault the level of service, cleanliness etc overall. The hotel was far away from the main tourist spots though - but we managed to walk to many anyway. The restaurant below and close by is brilliant -the waiters were lovely. I took my mum and sister on their first trip to Rome and it all went fine.

The hotel was excellently situated for travellers without transport. Staff were well informed and helpful re facilities available from the town. We had a complimentary upgrade to a 5th floor room with sea view from the balcony which was most welcomed. The quality of in house food was very good (and value for money cf the outside where choice better but quality and service not so good often!)A few more quality deck chairs by the pool would be a good idea to relieve the daily race for the few decent ones!!! Some with their own head shade would also be useful as the afternoon winds often blew the large umbrellas over making no shade available. The pool area was kept spotless and was a pleasure to relax in.

Staff at the hotel were excellent, location was good and prices were exactly as quoted. However the standard of the rooms was poor, mainly shabby decor, old fittings and well-worn bathroom. The inclusive breakfast was terrible, we ate out after the first day.

I hate to say anything negative because the staff is so friendly. However, the hotel has been grossly neglected in terms of maintenance to all systems. For example, the bath and sink do not drain, the hairdryer bracket is broken, the urine smell in the bathroom is off the chart, the lighting is poor and this is only the bathroom we are talking about. The in-room air conditioners do not work and when they do there is water all over the floor like a mens locker room. As the result of considerable water damage the wood floor is decayed considerably. The breakfast provided was inedible.

The hotel is in a nice area with several very good restaurants nearby. Bus stops are within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The staff was gracious. Breakfast was on the poor side, as there was no fresh cappucino. It was very hot in Rome during our stay, and on our first night the air conditioning was making a racket. The next night it did not work at all. We were moved to a very tight pair of connecting rooms that had AC in only one of them.

We were overall happy with our stay at Principessa Tea. The Frondesk people were polite and helpful. We got the requested room which was a suite at the 6th floor. The room was spacious, but the bathroom area need some maintenance. No showercurtain, water remained in the sink long after usage. Some overall refreshment would have been nice. The Hotel is located some 10 - 15 minutes walk from the Spanish Stairs, maybe a bit longer than we thought..but OK. Overall we would probably return next time in Rome.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. My return visit was more to do with unavailibility of other accomodation over Easter weekend rather than a desire to return to ths hotel. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, the staff are always friendly and very helpful and whilst the hotel would benefit from a refurbishment it is nevertheless very clean and tidy. The location is in a quiet street just of the Via Veneto with lots of nice resturaunts in the vacinity although the Via Veneto itself can be very expensive. Barberini Metro is a 10 minute walk away and both the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps can be reached by a 20 minutes or so stroll. Overall I wouldn't discourage anyone from staying at the Principessa Tea.

If you want a decent hotel (including a pretty decent breakfast, which is not that common in Rome) for a resonable (cheap) price this is a good choice. Not to far from the main attractions and located in a very quiet street (mind the traffic in Rome) this hotel is an ideal play to stay/sleep. If you want luxury or 24/7 animation well ...look further.

We booked this hotel before reading a few bad reviews about it and was a little worried before travelling - However was pleasantly surprised. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. It is very clean - clean towels and bed made EVERY day. Very helpful staff - ordered us a taxi to airport at reduced price! Hotel is close enough to sights - walking distance as described. Very pleasant experience. Would definitiely recommend this hotel and would also go back again to the same one.

Great value for money especially for it's location. The staff was very helpful. Easy walk to most tourist sites. Plenty of shops, restaraunts, taxi stands and buses in the area. The lack of a shower curtain made showering a bit of a challenge. We would stay again. Highly recommend La Brushetta E... , Via Sardegna 39/41 (left out the door) for pizza & pasta. Tell Bonifacio the ladies from Colorado sent you!! Also the bakery/deli two doors down was great.

The staff at Hotel Principessa Tea were excellent in spite of the rooms. They answered many of our questions. The quality of the rooms, bed linens, and towels were quite shabby. I had to request towels without holes in them. There were 3 of us travelling and we all received numerous misquito/spider bites during our 2 night stay. The hotel is approximately a 15 min walk from the train station or you can take the #910 which goes along Piemonte street and get off at the Scilia stop, walk up, (follow the bus), and go 1 and 1/2 blocks to Sardenga and turn right, you will see the hotel sign.

This was our worst hotel experience throughout our trip in Italy. Our room was located on the 6th floor (elevator only goes to the 5th floor) and had a sign on the door that said "office". It was obviously a converted office for overflow. The room was incredibly small (the head of the bed was against the dresser) and not very clean. When walking in room without shoes on, a thick layer of dirt would develop on your feet. The air-conditioner was ok, but it needed to be emptied of water every few hours. The bathroom had ants. The bed was unusually small and the sheets felt dirty. I would definately not stay again. Though, the location was good, near the Borghese and a 10 minute walk to the metro.

Lovely quiet area with plenty of local bars and restuarants. Roof garden an added bonus. Breakfast room could be upgraded. No hesitation in recommending it to friends. Certainly value for money.

For all new Guest! We stayed in hotel tea in august 03 ( weather 35 Cin the shadow). Hotel is situated at the north of city center. Clima in the room is ok. Were coming with airplane at Roma -Ciampino. Best trip to hotel: bus to cimpino railway station (1,30 €)ca. 7 min., train to roma - termini (1,50 €) ca. 12 min. From termini with bus 910 (0,70 €)5 stations untill stop via sicilia, thats all. Taxi from ciampino - Hotel tea ~ 47 € (ca. 30-45 min.)We buy a 7 day ticket (1 person 12.50 €. You van use this ticket in bus, metro, tram and in the blue line to ostia. We have used bus 110 from termini (Sigtseeing for 7.50 € without stopover). it was a good help for an overview. If possible we will come back again.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to others because of the location and the size of the rooms.

After having spent many nights in Italy, I found the quality of the room to be lacking. The AC did not work well. It kept shutting off in the middle of the night. The shower was missing doors so water was all over the floor. I thought for a city the quality of the room would have been better. Upon arriving, the greeting ws gruff and not helpful. I believe the person was overwhelmed. However after watching him deal with others, I found that he was just a gruff person. Others were far more helpful going out of their way to be of assistance. The location was excellent. Easily accesible to all areas of interest.
