The rooms were fine but the reception areas and bar were less than adequate - not fitting of a 4/5 star hotel. There were 12 of us staying in this hotel and we were for the most part happy with the friendly helpful service and the accommodation/breakfast. However, on leaving the hotel one of the couples in our party was accused of stealing from this hotel and were made to empty their suitcase in reception. This is completely inappropriate behaviour and we are absolutely appalled that one of our party should be so badly treated. We will not return to this hotel and will not be recommending it as a direct result of this dreadful unjustifiable public treatment.

When hotel is full they struggle to provide satisfactory breakfast
Useful nearby restaurants include Piccolo Mondo (turn right & right again) & also the traditional family trattoria turn left out of hotel then first left and 100 yards on left

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and always willing to make reservations for us and make recommendations regarding restaurants, tours, etc. We have already recommended this hotel to friends and will continue to do so. It was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent and in a great part of the city.

Don't mean to be a negative Nancy but this was a very poor decision made by us to stay at this "Palace." The location was great but everything else was very disappointing. It was our last night in Italy and we decided to spend one night at a 4 star hotel, big mistake. The price was obnoxiously high @ $260E or $330 (US)a night, and we thought we would receive a royal treatment(Like you do in NYC when you pay that price tag).
Other reviewers were correct in mentioning that this was really a 3 star hotel with a 4 star price. Our bathroom had not so clean floors, the toilet seat was coming off the hinges, our tea tray had a little curly black hair (I won't speculate its' origin) and a pot with brown residue. When we called to have it exchanged for another, they took it but didn't bring us another one. The room was an average size with a nice view of the Ludovisi street, that was the nicest thing about it. The decor of the room meant to have a Renaissance theme, but came off a little awkward. The bed was not queen size but a regular double (twin beds pushed together) which is what you get at a 2 or 3 star. The bathroom was spacious and had a not so clean tub.
We asked for a wake-up call for the next morning, and a cab. Instead I had to call in the morning to find out if our cab is here, and the wake up call was never made. Did we complain? No. Did we ask to change the room? No. It was our last night.
Not extremely accommodating, but not rude either. All in all, I really really don't advise anyone to stay there, unless they have money to burn. You can find really nice hotels for a fraction of the price in the same neighborhood. It really is a terrible waste of money, the service and the accommodations couldn't possibly justify the hefty price.

Hotel was excellent, in a very good (although expensive) area of Rome. All of the sights are within reasonable walking distance (10-30 mins). Staff were very helpful and always willing to help. Air-Cond in room was also very efficient.

Ludovisi Palace is a comfortable hotel in one of Rome's finest neighborhoods. Ludovisi's staff is competent and eager to help. The front desk assisted in locating our lost luggage and summoned taxis whenever they were needed. The rooms were well-kept and clean. Be aware that this is definitely a family hotel - if you are annoyed by children racing up and down the stairwells or large tour groups clogging the lobby with suitcases, don't stay here. But if you prefer a reasonable hotel that is willing to make arrangements and make you feel welcome in the Eternal City, then stay at Ludovisi Palace - palace may be a stretch - but it does deliver comfort and convenience.

The first night was slightly spoiled by noisy neighbours - one lot putting on the TV at full blast at a late hour and the second lot (Americans) who only spoke in yells, the child particularly loved to scream. Thank goodness they had gone for our second night.
No towels in the bedroom initially, but these soon appeared on request.

The Ludovisi Palace was a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. You are literally a 10 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Via Veneto, Via del Corso. The evening staff was extremely helpful (shopping, restaurant & sightseeing recommendations); the daytime staff seemed a bit too busy to actually help with anything. The room was clean and the bathroom very spacious. The air conditioning was great! You could actually adjust both the temperature and the speed...definitely not what I've experienced in other European hotels. We got a spectacular deal (140 Euros) because we booked at the last minute...it was a steal! We will definitely return on our next visit to Roma!

My wife and I stay at this hotel and the rooms were very comfortable although small and the air conditioning didn´t work but overall the hotel was very good and the staff very friendly and willing to help you. The hotel is very near of all major sites. We would recommend this hotel, not only for it´s location and price, but because our stay there was very satisfactory.

The Ludovisi Palace was perfect! The staff, spacious and quiet room, great location right near Via Veneto, all combined to make this a great place to stay in Rome (we stayed there for a week). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel was very clean & tidy, though i did think the rooms were smaller than expected. location was excellant, hotel let down by its lack of bar facilities but the immediate area more than made up for it.
would certainly recommend to others.

This was a 70th birthday present for my mother. The hotel was fantastic at organising a taxi from the airport - this turned out to be a stretch limo. and at arranging for flowers and champagne to be put in the room.
My Parents could not say enough about how much they enjoyed their stay....quite a recommendation for people who are well used to 5* treatmenton their travels.
They and I would certainly rate this hotel as excellent for comfort, helpfulness and the personal touch.
