I recently stayed here with my mum, it was a very pleasant enjoyable stay. My only fault was when we were leaving the hotel ordered us a taxi and it was delayed by nearly 30minutes! We made our flight but we were a little stressed to say the least. The staff did not seem to stressed by this delay which upset my mother.

A localização é excelente, fica numa rua tranqüila, bem perto do Museu do Vaticano, Metrô, ponto de ônibus, restaurantes, lojas, etc. Vale muito a pena !

Hotel is only 2 blocks and a flight of steps up to the Vatican Museum. Wonderful breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon along with large assortment of breads, juices, coffee and teas. The fresh fruit juice mix was especially tasty. Stayed only one night but would definitely stay again. Has a small but adequate elevator. Rooms were nicely decorated, beds were firm but otherwise nice.

We were very impressed with the front desk people when we arrived. They were very helpful. Arranged tour company pickup for the next day for us, explained how to get to the underground station and where to get off for some sight seeing we wanted to do on our own, and directed us to a good place to eat our lunch. Appreciated the internet availability and enjoyed the breakfast. Plenty of food to choose from. We would be happy to use their facility again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Spring House. The staff could not do enough to help us and make our stay in Rome brilliant. I am a travel agent and never told any staff this and I was even more impressed that they were as friendly and helpful with everyone. The hotel is spotless and very close to the vatican and only 4 metro stops from the centre of rome. The metro station is 2 minutes away from the hotel too. I will definatley return to this hotel and recommend this to any customers wishing to visit Rome. I travelled with my husband, two young children, parents and brother and all I can say is that we had a wonderful time and stayed at an impeccable hotel. Cant wait to return!!!!

This is a wonderful little hotel in a great location in Rome, very close to Vatican and St. Peter's. The people could not have been nicer and were most gracious. Off on a small street, it was quiet and nice. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is literally around the corner from the Vatican Museum entrance. Charming and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Room was clean and compact, but not cramped, and had plenty of storage space including a safe. Very comfortable bed, with a choice of pillows. Only complaint: lack of interior soundproofing. Conversation and TV in adjacent rooms and noises from corridor kept me awake. I would definitely stay here again, but bring earplugs for sleeping.

I would really recommend this hotel.
The location was great as it was only 5 minutes away from the vatican which was very useful for one of our party who had slight mobility problems.
I would reccomend the tour bus for anyone with mobility problems as it allowed you to see the sights with out having to walk about too much, there is one that leaves outside the vatican every half hour from 9.30a.m until 7.30 p.m.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and they made the holiday even more special.
Breakfast buffet was great even if the dining area was a bit small.

Great choice for our family of five, 2 adults & 3 teenagers. we booked a Superior double room and a triple room for the teenagers. The double was a bit small not to much room around the bed to walk but ok. The triple room was spacious. Size of rooms standard for Europe. With our room upgrade the hotel allowed us to have anything and everything unlimited from the mini bar, that was perfect since the street vendors and cafes charge anywhere from 2-5 euros for a water or cola drink. The staff is very helpfull and nice. Both of our rooms had a balcony with chairs and small table overlooking the front of the hotel we could see the Vatican wall from our balcony. The American-Italia breakfast was great, eggs, Italian bacon, meat links, cereals, cakes and fresh fruit etc.... we looked forward to breakfast. The shower is small but it works must lift legs up to wash can not bend over in the shower. Location to Vatican very close. Other attractions futher away, metro stop 5 minute walk. Supermarket 3 minute walk.
Great cafe near Vatican called Insulata Ricca located in Pizza del Risorgimento. Huge salads. With very fresh produce, and other light dishes very good prices. The pronto pizza across from the hotel is ok, we ordered takeout from there one evening the prices are fair, they speak very little english. The Hotels room service and food is very good and cheap prices. I would recomend this hotel as a good value for the money we paid 125,00 euros a night for the superior double and 135,00 euros for the triple per night we booked the rooms thru a search engine database that shows what travel site is offering the best price. We spent 6 nights at this hotel. There is a self service laundry close if needed we used it we did not want to take dirty laundry on to Venice were we were to spend 5 more days. The laundry service is pricey wash 4,00 euros and dry 4,00 euros for 21 minutes of drying time. I would recomend this hotel and I would book this hotel again if I were to return

My wife and I travelled to Italy for the first time, with our 8 year old daughter. We can confirm that all what is said of Spring House Hotel in the web site is correct. The front desk staff, Romina and the rest of the team, are competent and friendly, always eager to assist. The rooms, bathroom and public areas are kept impeccably clean, and the full american breakfast is excellent and ample. Rooms are not big but... this is Europe. The Hotel is very close to the subway and to the impressive Vatican Museum. In short, Spring House Hotel is an excellent choice in Rome and we'd definetely use it again.

I was glad that my friends arrived before me and made sure that I had a bigger room. The staff were very friendly and spoke several languages which made my stay easier. As I had an portable oxygen machine with me, it was very important that I had more than l electrical outlet to use. This was provided. Breakfasts were excellent.

This is a great hotel. Excellent helpful staff and nice clean rooms. Most of the rooms have balcony's to sit and relax on after the days sightseeing. The only criticism is that the dining room (for the included breakfast) was very small and cramped, but even so I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent and me and my girlfriend had a good welcome despite arriving at nearly 2 am. We didn't want to spend a fortune as we didn't plan on spending a lot of time in the room and wanted to see Rome so this was good value considering Rome prices. The included breakfast was very nice and the room was clean so don't worry girls and we had tea making facilities. The location is fine on a quiet street and of course Rome is very well spread out so it's advisable to use the nearby tube if you have say been near the Colosseum on the other side of the river. I would definitely come back and stay here. There were no real downsides. Sure the rooms are not massive but this is to be expected in Rome and we had a balcony. There was a nice local restaurant just around the corner. The air conditioning unit was marginally noisy at night time but don't be put off by this at all.

Room was small. The triple offered almost no room to move inside the room. The AC was poor. Could not select the fan speed, and it never got cool enough to be confortable. The included breakfast was good. The hotel location was excellent, a stone's throw to the vatican's museum entrance. The hotel staff was excellent.

The trip to Rome was a special birthday present for my friends and I. We booked Spring House purely on price and location so were not expecting much. We were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, well maintained and the buffet breakfast more than set us up for a hard days sightseeing. Since my return I have recommended Spring House to anyone who is planning a trip to Rome!

Room and bathroom was extremely clean - the only problem, the room for 4 people was a little bit too small. Excellent breakfast. Location is a very short walking distance to the entrance of the Sistine Chapel which was a plus.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. From my lack of speaking Italian perspective, they were all very fluent in English and readily spoke it for our benefit. Everything was clean. The bathroom was small and the shower (no bathtub) was very small.

Nice clean rooms, helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast - best continental we experienced anywhere in Europe in this price range. Quiet area. Plenty of eating places nearby. Ten minute walk to St. Peter's Basilica. Ten minute walk from metro station - was a little bit tricky to find at first. Would stay here again.

The hotel was very friendly, the welcome breakfast was a really nice touch and fuelled us so we could face a walk whilst our room was prepared.
The room was small but as I expected from the comments and it had everything we needed. This is probably not the best hotel if a guest is of larger than average build as everything is narrower than in the average hotel but for the skinny and average it is great value.

Spring House has an excellent location. We walked to all the major sights. The staff were very helpful, what they did not know they found out quickly and efficiently.Breakfast was superb especially the fruits, berries and pastries.
When we saw our room we believed we had not been given the superior room we had requested. On investigation however, the room was superior to a standard room. Our advice would be to book a superior room if you wish to be able to walk around the bed.

Our credit card number had been stolen & when we arrived at Spring House they had cancelled our reservations. We were told that e-mail had been sent, but we checked before & during our trip & there was no e-mail. It really was our fault not to notify them, but before we left, we checked Venere & were told our reservations were confirmed. We did not this problem with the Hotel California. Anyway, we were given a suite for the first night & then we shared the room with our son while our daughter & husband were given a double for the next 3 nights. The employees were very nice. Since this happened, we were given a break on the total price which was certainly fine with us. It was close to most of the important places in Rome & would recommend it & stay again if we were in Rome.

Surrounding area is kind of quiet, and not the best for eating. Subway line was closing early each night for cleaning during my visit, which made this hotel very inaccessible from the main sights (other than the Vatican).

Our stay in Rome was helped by our stay at Spring House, which is close to the Vatican and to a Metro station ( better directions from the Metro would have helped).
We had a top floor room with a private balcony which was very pleasant and private.
Excellent breakfast though the room is small for the number of guests.

We had reserved a quadruple room but upon arrival there was none available so we were offered two double rooms for the same price. The rooms were side by side and the only ones of the seventh floor. Each air-conditioned room had a balcony. Of all the places we stayed at in France, Germany and Italy, this place I would rate the highest. We were in walking distance of the Vatican museum as well as St Peter's Square.

Great location- really close to the Vatican. Nice and clean hotel, but our quadruple room was just a 2 bed room with 2 extra beds thrown in to it. Way too small, and it was noisy too. But Rome is a bit difficult when it comes to hotels, so I might stay there again. Loved the breakfast!

Room very small if booked online directly for 4 people >My agent got a higher rate for adjoining rooms.Front Desk male staff English language ltd ,not eager to learn.Female staff seem better but lower in chain of command.
Excellent breakfast staff, one Mexican one Italian both very pleasant and more than compensates for the aloofness of the male front reception staff. They are only interested in you leaving the Single key you have for the entire family when you go out,in case you duplicates it.
