The first encounter with the hotel was with the pick up at the airport. This service was very important to me. There was a mix-up and I was not scheduled but they had a driver scheduled within the hour and we were provided service to the hotel. At the front desk, there was a mix-up in rooms and we waited but were pleasantly surprised to be given two separate single rooms for the same price. At check-out we were charged with telephone access even though we used a credit card. This did not happen in Paris or Munich. We liked the location and I believe the staff tried to make us happy.

No better place to stay: very close to Vatican, but still comfortable walking distance to city center and old imperial center. Very nice service. We've had cheaper accomodation in Rom, but it's definetely worth the "supplement"

The room was very good, just as advertised. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi. The breakfast was good and the service excellent. The location, near San Peter was ideal for the Vatican Museums. It takes less than 10 minutes to reach the hotel on foot from the Ottaviano metro station. We would recommend this hotel.

We had to wait one hour at the airport before the taxidriver came, and then we drove in 150 km/h to come to the hotel (a little too fast). It was nice surprise to come to the room, because a bottle of Champagne waited for us. The room was very nice, but the bathroom did not look new-renovated like the web site told us. The price of the room was 150 euros each night, but when we paid early Monday morning, the price was suddenly 200 euros each night... Luckily I had the confirmation, so we paid the deducted price. The breakfast-room was very small, I don't like to sit so close to the others that we can hear everything they say. This is not meant as a complain, our visit in Rome was fantastic. The City is beautiful and the people are very nice. The hotel was also nice, so the things mentioned are just meant to be a feed-back. I will recommend the hotel to others, must of all for it's location.

We had a significant number of issues that arose during our stay. We did not get the kind/size of room we were suppose to get. There was no bar on site as indicated ( it had closed) peole not staying in the hotel were offered free drink certificates at the Alante Star . . . we were told we could go across the street and get a drink at a cafe located there. The air conditioning did not work the first night. The reservation data indicated that they offered free airport pick up. The when we were not coming into LDV we were told that we had to get our own ride . . . the hotel could arrange one for 40 Euro for us. Then we were told 80 Euro by the driver when we arrived I ended up paying 60 Euro each way. (that was suppose to be included in the room rate. The beds were small and uncomfortable - there were no options . . . the TV worked intermittenly . . . We were given wrong information of tours by the front desk clerk . . . all in all it was less than the magical vacation I wanted my wife and daughter to experience I was given a reduction in rate to attempt to accomodate me . . . but it took a lot of complaining to make that to even happen

The customer service by hotel employees were very good. Being rated a 4 star hotel and the accompanying prices, I expected a much nicer hotel. My room was very small, and feel the common areas could have been much nicer and more welcoming for guests.

Nice hotel. Close to the Vatican. A bit far from the other attractions. Easy bus access. There is a great trattoria a block away. It is one road east and a half block south of the hotel on the east side.

Dear Madams, Dear Sirs, the Atlante Hotels are two Hotels: The Atlante Star is a 4 Star Hotel with a great Terazza but the Hotel Atlante Garden you offer is not worth a 4 star Hotel. It could be at maximum a 3 Star Hotel. Some bad facts: The breakness room is souterrain. The published great terazza is not in this Hotel! The room hadn`t curtains. Me and my brothers booked the hotel, because it was a birthday present for my mother (60).My parents have been 30 years ago in the Hotel Atlante Garden. But now the Building of the former Hotel Atlanta Garden is the Atlante Star. The new Atlante Garden isn't that nice an the price per room is to high for this building. It can't be a 4 Star Hotels. 975 € for 5 Days is to expensive for such a Hotel. Thank you for your response. Alessandro Laraia alessandro.laraia@partisanmarketing.com

Good staff and excellent location but the rooms were rather dark and the hot water ran out after 8am so that if you woke up late the showers had to be cold!I thought this was unacceptable for a four star grade hotel. Also room service for the breakfast would have been desirable.

On arriving to the hotel we were amazed at the grafitti surrounding the building. There was no restaurant as advertised in the literature. (It was closed for some reason). The room was noisy from the outside. The couch in the room was threadbare and worn out. The double bed mattress was sagging and had to be turned, not enough to make a stay comfortable. There was mold on the shower wall and the Jacuzzi tub was non working. In fact parts were laying nrear the tub and holes where parts used to be were left open.We had to ask how to use the shower and had to ask for towels. We came back to the room one day and found no toilet paper after the room was cleaned. It took three calls to get it.This in our estimate was not a four star hotel as advertised. It shoud have been a two at the most.

There are some problems in this hotel: 1. noise: they have old windows, which dosn't close very good. 2. space: in our doublebed room we have no space for a second chair! 3. Heating: there is no heating in the bathroom, in december it can be very cool in rome, so you get freezing. The aircondition makes a lot of noise. 4. Reservation: when we arrive at the hotel they don't have our reserved room, they will send us to another hotel. After some time of waiting, they give us a room, but not with the space we reserved. But the location is great, near by the vatican.

Rooms was very cramped for a triple, and one of the beds was actually a pull out couch. Also, the highly touted rooftop restaurant was not open. But overall, a nice hotel. Good location. And the help was very friendly.

Atlante Gardens likes to think of itself as being the same as its' sister hotel Atlante Star. It isn't ! Neither is it a 4 star hotel. On arrival, after travelling for 9 hours, the only thing we wanted to do was have a shower - Unfortunately there was only cold water.Raising the issue, reception said it was a fault which engineers would have fixed in the hour. 6 hours later, on trying for a shower, there was still only cold water. Again , reception knew about it, but were not pro-active by leaving an advisory note in the room, or letting people know when collecting keys. Water was warm next morning- and so to breakfast: Fawlty Towers I was advised by a fellow guest! I had to ask for glasses, sparkling water, cheese, ham, bread, and cutlery. Provision of such was greeted with disdain, and the feeling that I had been offered the holy grail - where was my gratitude? If you fly into Fiamuncino, you get a courtesy pick up; a courtesy not extended to those who come into Ciampino. As a negotiation, I asked for 2 tickets to a Papal Audience (they cost nothing), and that was agreed 3 weeks before. I asked 7 times before they arrived, 5 minutes before the audience started, where we were promptly refused entrance for being late. What should have been a special surprise for someone was totally ruined. Air conditioning is ineffective; sheets and towels were old, dirty , and torn. On the last morning, when we were at least happy to have survived , the old favourite came back to haunt us: the water was cold yet again, but at least this time we knew the real reason - " When so many people want to use hot water at the same time , we cannot cope. So we turn it off for a few hours, and that saves the boiler overheating; this is an old building , and the water doesn't work for everyone!" Back to Britain, and a cleansing shower, 30 hours after our last one. We must have been welcome travelling companions!! I've stayed in superior 3* hotels in Rome, just as central, and cheaper to boot

It was the last part of a month long honeymoon and we decided to treat our selves to something luxurious. After checking many of the hotels on your site we decided on the Atlante Garden, not because it was the most expensive but because it seemed to be just right. It was in the city centre and provided a Special VIP Honeymoon package. However disaster struck. The rooms were filthy, the skirting was hang off the wall, the curtains were held together with drawing pins. The so called luxur jacuzzi had a hole in it. The bathroom flooded, the paint was pealing of the wall with mould. We seemed to spend most o the weekend waiting in the room to change room. In th end we gave up and went to the manager to investigate what exactly they meant by the VIP Honeymoon package. I sat in receception, explained our problems, that the skirting board had fell off the wall and I tapped the wall to articulate – a ventilation vent popped out of the wall. At this point we all laughed. We were given a free dinner by the management in their rooftop hotel with views of St Peters. It was n't that nice but the gesture was appreciated. However as I looked around the restaurant I couldn't but help wondering were we the only people having dinner on the management that night. Sleepless in Ireland

Tha above review is for the Atlante Garden Hotel, where my party only stayed for one night, before moving to the Atlante Star. I was lead to beleive that the Atlante Garden had bar, restaurant etc. The reality is that it is nothing more than accommodation. The staff however, are very pleasant and efficient, as well as professional. We were moved to the Atlante Star after one night as we complained about the lack of facilities. On every ocassion the staff were professional. As I have been in the Hotel industry for a long time, I appreciate that some cuts have to be made to a business to ensure profits. However, in Britain, you would be breaking the Trades Description Act by leading customers to beleive that the Atlante Garden Hotel has facilities that are clearly not available and have not been available for quite some time. The opportunities at the Atlante Garden are there, if only someone would develop the courtyard area, bar etc. I felt that our complaint was dealt with efficiently and felt no need for further complaint. My recommendations are intended to be advice from one professional to another.

location and price is very good, but there is no room service available, and mini-bar also poor. the price is very reasonable but somthing to make us confortable is missing. it is very difficult to judge the well balance price and quolity. they have ATLANTA STAR HOTEL just near by. and they use its photo for ATLANAT GARDEN. It will be confusded for users, ATRANTA STAR is very nice hotel. There is a nice terrace restaurant. this is my comment. So there is very good italian rrestaurant near hotel.

This was an excellent hotel. They picked us up in the airport for free. Initially there were no rooms in the hotel we had made a reservation for, but they had arranged for the same type of room in a nearby hotel and took us there. The room was excellent. We had rented a suit, it was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was superb. Customer service was very professional and good. The location was within 15 min walking distance from Vatican (this is reasonable in Rome). The distance from hotel to the nearest Metro station was about 15 minutes walking, as well, which is rather long if you are planning to take your luggages to train station for your next tourist destination, but this could apply to most hotels as well. Overall, we were very satisfied and would consider staying in this hotel again next time. Mike E., Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A.

The location was the best thing about this hotel. Upon arrival, they did not have our online reservation, but reluctantly gave us a room anyway without an apology. We were told online reservation does not work at all, and that you have to call to make sure you got the room even if you were sent an email confirmation directly from the hotel. The concierge was not extremely helpful, when we asked for restuarant recommendations, only one was given. We complained about a loud fan in the bathroom but were told we should be glad that ours works since in most rooms it does not work at all. The airport shuttle only picks you up, but you must pay 35Euro to go back. Upon enterning the hotel, you have to walk down some stairs--not for people with baby strollers or wheelchairs. The rooms were not 4 star european quality and fortunately the online price quote we had was 170euros per night but we ended up paying 110euros per night, which we think was just by pure luck that they did not charge the online price. The positives : The breakfast, the air conditioning, and the location.

The hotel package we booked included a wonderful dinner at Les Etoiles, which made our stay worth it. While the hotel was nice with many amenities, I don't think it would have been worth the price without the package. It was pretty far from everything except the Vatican. The rooms were decent, but nothing special. The hotel has a lot of charm, and is a good moderate hotel. But I think it is a bit pricey for what it offers.

The service was excellent. The staff went out of the way to help us. The rooms were modest. Everything that was described on the web site was accurate. The rooms were smaller than we thought. Since this was our first time in Rome, the location was not as central as we would have liked. The information accurately described the location however we were not knowledgeable enough to understand where we were staying in relationship to other parts of Rome. Again the service was outstanding and we felt like a welcomed guest. The physical aspects of the hotel were less than our expectations. We would recommend the hotel to others who may want to stay near the Vatican and want modest accommodations.Although the web site identified the hotel as 4 stars were were not sure how that rating was made. We thought it more like a 3 star at best. The web site was helpful and made it easy for us to make reservations without assistance. Thank you for this service. Nancy Novak

They messed up the airport pick up for my family badly and the receptionist yelled at my husband that it wasn't his fault. At first he said that my family was dropped off at Atlante Star and if they wanted to stay there, it wasn't his problem. Later he found out that they were still at the airport waiting and he said it wasn't his fault. My family waited 3 hours at the airport with 2 small children after 8 hours of flight from US. Mistakes happen, but the attitude of the receptionist was totally unacceptable. No point for friendliness and customer service. Mega points for rudeness and indecency. Shame on the hotel to hire someone like that.
